RESIDENTS OPPOSE RITCHIE’S LIVE MUSIC REQUEST FOR PUB

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:11 am

Filmmaker GUY RITCHIE is facing further wrath from residents near his London pub after submitting a request to host live music nights at the venue.
The Sherlock Holmes director purchased The Punch Bowl in the city’s posh Mayfair neighbourhood in early 2008, and transformed the traditional bar into a celebrity hotspot.
Neighbours have subsequently bombarded City of Westminster Council officials with complaints, alleging increases in noise and traffic due to the venue’s popularity have tarnished the local area.
Council bosses subsequently ordered Ritchie and his co-proprietors to keep patrons indoors after 8pm and to scale down their private parties.
But now the British moviemaker is facing further anger from residents after making plans to host gigs at the bar.
Neighbours have until 9 February (11) to lodge any objections to the proposed live music licence to the council - and the move has already outraged members of the North Mayfair Residents’ Group.
Secretary Ron Whelan tells Britain’s Daily Express, "If it succeeds, life will become intolerable for local residents."
