GWYNETH PALTROW has admitted her marriage to CHRIS MARTIN is far from perfect, insisting they have "ups and downs, big time." The Iron Man beauty and the Coldplay frontman have been married since 2003 and they are parents to two children, Apple, six, and Moses, four.
They go to great lengths to keep their relationship private, but Paltrow now reveals they work hard at living together like all couples because she finds the realities of marriage "complicated".
She tells Good Housekeeping magazine, "Marriage is hard. Chris and I have had our ups and downs, big time.
"Marriage is way more complicated than just who gets to control the remote. But hopefully we keep heading in the same direction and getting through the obstacles."

Scottish rocker KT TUNSTALL has credited busking with making her a more "aggressive" performer, because she always played guitar "hunched over" on a chair before taking her talents onto the street.
The Suddenly I See hitmaker learned how to play the guitar at school, before completing her education in the U.S., where she first started performing free gigs for commuters in Vermont.
And the musician is thankful she had to perform on street corners, because she finally learned to play while standing up.
She tells Britain’s The Independent on Sunday, "Busking helped my playing a lot. It definitely made me a more aggressive player. At first I couldn’t play standing up, ‘cos you learned guitar sitting down, hunched over, staring at what you’re doing.
"My mum used to pop in the pub if I was doing gigs and go, ‘Can’t you stand up?’ ‘Shut-up, mum!’ Now I find it hard playing sitting down."

ROSAMUND PIKE has taken aim at BAFTA bosses for overlooking U.K. films in favour of their American counterparts, insisting it’s a "real shame" her MADE IN DAGENHAM co-star SALLY HAWKINS was snubbed in this year’s (11) nominations.
The shortlist for the annual British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) prizegiving was announced on Tuesday (18Jan11) and apart from Colin Firth’s movie The King’s Speech, most of the films and actors who received nods hailed from the U.S.
Pike has been left downhearted by the BAFTA committee’s choices, insisting American films prove more popular with voters as they get to watch the movies before they are released in Britain.
She tells the BBC, "Those are the ones they watch over Christmas. People who are voting get their film screeners and everyone is so excited to see all the American movies that haven’t come out here yet." And the former Bond girl is shocked Hawkins, who led the film about women seeking equal pay in a 1960s British factory, has not been nominated for a Best Actress honour.
She adds, "It’s a real shame. Sally was the heart and soul of that film and I thought she did a phenomenal job.
"With some films getting 14 nominations, four is not such an impressive number." Made In Dagenham received nods for Best Supporting Actress for Miranda Richardson, Outstanding British Film, as well as nominations in the wardrobe and make-up categories. The awards will take place next month (13Feb11).

A spokesperson for America’s Fox network has denied outspoken comic JOAN RIVERS was dropped from a TV chatshow because of her controversial comments about former U.S. vice-presidential hopeful SARAH PALIN.
The comedienne was set to appear on Fox News’ Fox & Friends on Thursday morning (20Jan11) to promote her new reality show with daughter Melissa.
But after she criticised the former governor of Alaska, calling her "stupid and a threat" to TMZ.com, Rivers was told she was no longer welcome on the show, according to her rep, Judy Katz.
Rivers took to her Twitter.com page to voice her anger at the decision, writing, "Outcome: Don’t p**s off Sarah Palin. She’s apparently ‘very powerful,’ and is obviously still smarting from the end of her reality show. I was cancelled from Fox for saying Palin is ’stupid and a threat’. Wait till I REALLY shock them with Aretha Franklin is a bit chubby!" But a producer for Fox & Friends insists a scheduling mix-up is the real reason behind the snub, telling E! Online, "Due to the volume of news topics tomorrow morning and a full show, our booker mistakenly cancelled Joan’s appearance instead of re-scheduling her for Friday’s show. We’re in the process of booking her on an upcoming show."

Actor MATT DILLON played hero while waiting to check-in for a flight at Los Angeles’ LAX Airport on Tuesday (18Jan11), by helping a woman who fainted.
The Crash actor was queueing at the passport control desk when a female in front of him collapsed and smashed her head on the floor.
Dillon sprung into action, helping the woman to a nearby seat and staying by her side until paramedics arrived. She was put in an ambulance and the star made it to his flight on time, reports TMZ.com.

Country star GRETCHEN WILSON still prides herself in the knowledge she was the first celebrity to make KANYE WEST storm out of an awards ceremony.
The rapper was outraged when the Redneck Woman hitmaker was named Best New Artist over him at the 2004 American Music Awards and protested to reporters outside, insisting he was "robbed".
The rapper has since made a name for himself for his pouting ways at awards ceremonies and he infamously took to the stage at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards to protest Taylor Swift’s Best Female Video win over his pal Beyonce.
But Wilson likes to remind people she was the "passionate" star’s first walk-out - and admits she still doesn’t care for West.
She tells CMT.com, "I think he’s an a** really for acting like that. He really is. He makes quite a spectacle. So grow up! Quit being such a baby!! "If somebody beats you, it’s because they deserve to beat you. I don’t know if you remember all the way back to the first time, I outsold you, bro! Do your homework.

IGGY POP’s former drummer ALEX KIRST has died following a hit-and-run accident in Cathedral City, California.
The 47 year old was hit by an SUV while he was out walking last week (13Jan11) - and left for dead.
The rocker was spotted by the side of the road hours later.
Prior to becoming Iggy Pop’s sidekick in the Trolls, Kirst was the drummer in glam rock act the Nymphs. He appeared on Pop’s album Skull Ring.

BRITNEY SPEARS is giving fans the chance to own the gown she wore in the billboards for her fragrance Radiance - to raise funds for a friend’s sick son.
The Toxic superstar is auctioning off the silver backless dress she donned for the perfume’s promotional posters on ebay.com in a bid to boost donations for the The Matthew Van Daff Special Needs Trust.
The charity was set up to raise money for the treatment of little Matthew, who was born with a brain injury after being starved of oxygen in the final days of pregnancy. The proceeds raised from the sale will help his parents provide round-the-clock care for their son.
On Spears’ Facebook.com page, her assistant writes, "Such a great cause. Brit donated her dress from the Radiance ad to our friend David, who started a trust for his son with a brain injury. He put the dress up for auction & all proceeds will go to his son’s cause." Bids had reached over $4,000 (£2,666) as WENN went to press.

BRUCE WILLIS and HELEN MIRREN’s action comedy RED is set to take aim at the box office once more - studio executives have begun work on a sequel.
The big screen adaption of the DC comics starred Willis and Mirren alongside John Malkovich and Morgan Freeman as retired spies.
It has grossed $164 million (£109 million) to date worldwide since its release in October (10) and even landed a Golden Globe nomination for Best Picture - Musical or Comedy at this year’s (11) ceremony.
And now bosses at Summit Entertainment have invited writers Erich and Jon Hoeber back to write a follow-up, according to Collider.com.
It is not yet known whether any of the original all-star cast will return for the planned sequel.

JENNIFER HUDSON realised her Disney dream in Florida on Wednesday (19Jan11) when she launched the company’s new cruise ship.
The Oscar winner, who also performed at the dockside event, once performed on-board a Disney Wonder cruise back in 2003.
Hudson was named the godmother of the 4,000-passenger Disney Dream liner, which has been billed as the most high-tech cruise ship ever built.
The ship’s maiden voyage begins next week (beg24Jan11).

Country singer DIERKS BENTLEY has LADY ANTEBELLUM star CHARLES KELLEY to thank for saving his classic car after the motor burst into flames outside a party on Tuesday night (18Jan11).
The 1967 Chevy Camaro was a gift from Bentley’s wife Cassidy for the couple’s anniversary last month (Dec10) - and the country star had only driven it a couple of times.
But an engine fault sparked the blaze while the classic car was being valet parked outside Nashville, Tennessee’s Whiskey Kitchen club.
Bentley bumped into Kelley as he entered the venue and the Need You Now singer insisted on seeing his new ride.
When the two pals reached the car park, the motor was already in flames and, as Bentley stood speechless, Kelley leaped into action.
Bentley says, "The valet guy was still in it, trying to pop the hood. My brain was not even processing it. I was in shock. But Charles saw a guy from the bar who had access to a fire extinguisher and said, ‘Get over here.’ "Charles definitely came to the rescue… If I had not bumped into Charles last night, my new car might not have made it." The classic car is now in the repair shop.

Rapper T.I. never gave up hope of romancing his future wife TAMEKA ‘TINY’ COTTLE in the early days of their relationship, and continued to pursue the former XSCAPE singer even after she stood him up.
The Live Your Life hitmaker, 30, initially met Cottle through producer Jazze Pha in 2001, before he became a hip-hop superstar, and they exchanged numbers after bumping into each other again in an Atlanta, Georgia mall.
But the singer/songwriter, 35, admits she wasn’t immediately smitten by T.I. and confesses she snubbed him a "couple of times" after agreeing to go on dates.
She tells Vibe magazine, "T.I. always says I gave him such a hard time when we first met and I did… I stood him up a couple times. When I met him, I was kinda on hiatus, I’d broken from Xscape, but I had co-wrote (sic) the song No Scrubs for TLC, so you know, I was living good and doing my thing…
"Somehow we exchanged numbers - he was calling me and calling me, wanting to come hook up and I’d be like, ‘Yeah, we gonna…let’s hook up, such and such’ and then I wouldn’t answer the phone and he’d be like, ‘You know time after time…’" And it was only when she agreed to attend one of his early concerts that she finally fell for the rapper.
She says, "Finally I let him come by, but I still wasn’t sure because I felt like, ‘Oh, he’s a baby’ and I treated it like that and he kinda felt like, ‘You trying to play me like I’m a little boy.’ "And one night, and it’s probably the best thing he could’ve did (sic), he invited me to one of his shows… First of all, it was jam-packed outside, it was crazy and I’m like, ‘All these people (are) here for this guy?’ We went in there and he tore the house down. And I was like, ‘OK, I think I like him.’ He’s got something there." The couple went on to start a family and has two sons together - King, six, and Major, two.
T.I. also has three other children from previous relationships, while Cottle is mum to a teenage girl named Zonnique from a prior romance.
They wed last summer (10), four months before T.I. began his latest 11-month prison stint (Nov10) for violating his parole stemming from his 2007 conviction on gun charges.

BOY GEORGE has returned a stolen religious artifact to the Church of Cyprus 26 years after he bought it at auction.
The pop star was stunned to learn the Christ icon he picked up at a London art sale in 1985 was taken from the church during the Turkish invasion a decade before.
After the recent discovery, the Do You Really Want To Hurt Me singer did not hesitate to give the item back.
He tells the BBC the icon is now housed in a church in the village of New Chorio-Kythrea.
He says, "I have always been a friend of Cyprus and have looked after the icon for 26 years.
"I’m happy the icon is going back to its original rightful home." Bishop Porfyrios of Neapolis thanked the singer as he handed over the icon at the St Anagyre church in London.

TAKE THAT star GARY BARLOW marks a massive milestone on Thursday (20Jan11) - the singer/songwriter turns 40.
Born in 1971 in Cheshire, north-west England, Barlow’s big break in the music industry came in 1990 when he was introduced to manager Nigel Martin-Smith and landed a part in the line-up of boy band Take That.
Along with bandmates Robbie Williams, Mark Owen, Howard Donald and Jason Orange, he went on to dominate the charts in the U.K

Rather than cut out food and hit the gym to play a man on the run from a Russian labour camp, the Oscar winner simply bought an axe.

Actress DEBI MAZAR has renewed her wedding vows to Italian musician GABRIELE CORCOS for an episode of the pair’s new cooking show.
