She tells the Hollywood Reporter, "Robert plays a world renowned psychic and Sigourney is a psychology professor, and I play her student. Cillian Murphy is my love interest, though that’s not a huge part of the story.

SIR ELTON’S SONG SECRET

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:23 pm

SIR ELTON JOHN became emotional every time he performed his song THE GREATEST DISCOVERY prior to his son’s birth, because the lyrics reminded him of his surrogacy secret.
The singer and his partner David Furnish welcomed little Zachary via a surrogate mother at Christmas (25Dec10), after keeping their baby plans quiet for nearly a year.
Sir Elton admits his song from 1970, about the birth of a child, reminds him of the emotional journey to becoming a parent and he grew teary every time he sang it before the tot’s birth, because he couldn’t share his news with his audience.
He tells Access Hollywood, "It’s about the birth of a new baby and I was singing it before he arrived and I was getting very emotional as I sang it. And I thought, ‘People don’t know what’s going on and I’m singing this song.’" And the Rocket Man reveals he is now serenading his baby boy with the track, adding, "I’ve been singing that (to him) recently."

JOLIE REFUSES TO DRESS DOWN

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:20 pm

ANGELINA JOLIE refuses to buy jeans or t-shirts - because she’s convinced she would dress like a slob if she had a wardrobe full of casual clothes.
The Tomb Raider star keeps her closet packed with dressy designer items to ensure she never steps out looking less than perfect, insisting she’s so busy raising six kids she has to force herself to make an effort with fashion.
She tells Britain’s OK! magazine, "I actually don’t own a pair of jeans. This is an odd confession but I realised when I was into building our family, that if I had jeans and t-shirts in my wardrobe, it’s what I would end up wearing all the time with so many children.
"So I had to kind of not have them, to force myself to not fall into that every day."

OSBOURNE’S FLYING FEARS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:20 pm

Paranoid rocker OZZY OSBOURNE is so frightened of air travel he suffers a panic attack whenever he boards a plane.
The Black Sabbath frontman has battled drug and drink addictions throughout his life, and years of abuse have left him with irrational fears about flying.
The star’s dark thoughts increase when he’s preparing to take off, even though the rocker knows his worries aren’t justified.
He says, "Being paranoid is a terrible way to live. Every so often when I get on a plane. I convince myself that it’s doomed, and that everyone’s gonna die. So I spend the whole 12 hours in the air sweating and trying to stop my heart jumping out of my ribcage, which is a total waste of time, because my panic attack ain’t exactly gonna stop a bomb going off or the wing catching fire. I mean, I suppose you could argue that being a worrier makes you more likely to live longer, but if you’re feeling paranoid 24 hours of the day, what’s the point?"

MCINTYRE’S ADVICE FOR BIEBER

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:20 pm

NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK star JOEY MCINTYRE has warned JUSTIN BIEBER about the pitfalls of finding fame at a young age, insisting he endured plenty of "dark days" after his boyband heyday.
The singer shot to fame when he was a teenager as the youngest member of the pop group, and admits he was in for a shock when their popularity waned.
Now he’s urging 16-year-old Bieber to surround himself with loved ones to support him through his "ups and downs".
McIntyre tells Entertainment Tonight, "I wasn’t perfect. We weren’t perfect. We certainly made mistakes and there were dark days. You’re the biggest thing in the world (but) you gotta come down. What goes up comes down, for whatever reason.
"You gotta learn how to hang in there and know that there’s so much more to life than just singing pop tunes and dancing around on stage. And that takes a while - everybody’s got their own path and their own time.
"You have to go with the flow and learn some things the hard way. Hopefully kids like Justin - there’s a lot of young artists out there - hopefully they’ve got good family around them and they’re able to take the ups and downs."

BON JOVI HEADED BACK TO BIG SCREEN

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:17 pm

JON BON JOVI has been confirmed as the latest star to join VALENTINE’S DAY follow-up NEW YEAR’S EVE - just weeks after he cast doubt on ever reviving his acting career.
The Bon Jovi frontman admitted in an interview last month (Dec10) he had little desire to step in front of the camera again, following roles in Pay It Forward and Moonlight and Valentino.
He told Larry King, "(Acting is) so far down the list of things to do these days, because the music has been so great. I’ve got other philanthropic actions and business stuff going on. So it’s not that appealing." But the rocker, who hasn’t acted since 2006, isn’t retiring from Hollywood just yet - he’s signed up for a role in director Garry Marshall’s star-studded romantic comedy.
According to Reuters, Bon Jovi will play a rock star who once dumped Halle Berry’s character in the movie, which will follow the lives of a group of New Yorkers on New Year’s Eve.
Robert De Niro, Zac Efron, Hilary Swank, Sarah Jessica Parker, Michelle Pfeiffer, Jessica Biel and Ashton Kutcher will also feature.

BROWN: ‘I ESCAPE WORRIES THROUGH ART’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:17 pm

R&B singer CHRIS BROWN has opened up about his love of art after teaming up with a graffiti specialist for a colourful collaboration.
The Kiss Kiss hitmaker has joined forces with contemporary Australian artist Kid Zoom for a series of spray-painted murals, which he recently showed off in pictures posted on his Twitter.com page.
The images included a shot of Brown’s arm holding a machete covered in red paint, as well as a skull piece painted onto a white wall.
And Brown insists he has always been inspired by works of art.
He says, "I fell in love with art around the age of six. I always took pride in kind of winning the colouring contests in school. Art was my only outlet. Aside from music, art is the thing that I like to (use to) escape. And I appreciate other artists who have that talent and that eye for detail and eye for their own imagination. Art is a part of my life and it influences me completely."

PIPER FACES HOSTILITY OVER HOOKER ROLE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:17 pm

British actress BILLIE PIPER feels ostracised in the small English village where she lives, because her neighbours really believe she’s like the prostitute she portrays in saucy TV show SECRET DIARY OF A CALL GIRL.
The former pop star plays a high-class hooker in the popular series, which is based on the real life diaries of escort Brooke Magnanti.
But her realistic portrayal of the sordid lifestyle has left her an outcast in her adopted village in West Sussex, England - and the situation is made worse because locals love her actor husband Laurence Fox for his role in quaint TV detective series Lewis.
She says, "I get this overwhelming feeling of hostility. Laurence is the hero, because he’s in Lewis.
"He’s so famous in our village and his fan club is considerably older. They adore him and see me as his tainted, mucky wife.
"Honestly, they’re not big on me. I think they see him as muddying himself with ‘that filth.’ It can get quite cold.
"The looks I get off some of the older guys in the street. Some of them like to think you’re a prostitute for real. ‘No, I’m an actress playing a prostitute’."

Chinese movie star JET LI has become a Singaporean citizen.
The kung fu legend was born in Beijing, China, but has held an American passport for the last two decades.

Li tells the AFP, "My children can have good bilingual education with social stability, and my children will not be harassed by journalists and reporters. This is funny because I have been holding a U.S. passport and staying in the United States for 20 years, nobody said anything about it. LIE TO ME LAWSUIT UNDERWAY

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:14 pm

TV bosses behind TIM ROTH’s crime drama LIE TO ME are facing a lawsuit over allegations the idea was copied from a pilot episode pitched to Fox network executives back in 2007.
The British actor stars as a body language expert who helps criminal investigations by detecting lies in the programme, which has run for three seasons since its debut in 2009.
Executives at John Gertz Productions (JGP) claim to have acquired the rights to Roderick Anscombe’s 2005 novel The Interview Room, about a psychiatrist who is an expert in detecting untruths, and turned it into a screenplay for a show called Lie to Lie which was offered to Fox in 2007.
The lawsuit, filed at Los Angeles Superior Court, alleges production company bosses spent three months working with chiefs at Fox on the idea, discussing "specific plot lines not only for the pilot episode, but also for subsequent episodes" before TV heads dropped the idea.
They claim it was subsequently turned into Lie To Me.
The legal papers, obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, state, "Defendants falsely stated to plaintiffs that they were abandoning the project. In reality, defendants did not abandon their efforts to make The Interview Room and Lie to Lie into a television series at all - defendants just wanted to cut plaintiffs out of the deal they made." JGP and Anscombe are suing Fox, executive Simon Andreae and Imagine Entertainment, for breach of contract and breach of confidence, according to the publication.

50 CENT CLAIMS VICTORY IN WEB WAR

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:50 pm

Rapper 50 CENT is claiming to have triumphed in a long-running dispute with a hip-hop website after he accused the owners of using his image and content without permission.
The hip-hop star filed a lawsuit against bosses at Worldstarhiphop.com back in 2009, and on Monday (24Jan11), he took to his Twitter.com page to tell fans he had forced the site to shut down.
The website subsequently came back online, with the owner claiming the disruption was due to technical problems and not to do with 50 Cent.
But the In Da Club hitmaker remains adamant he’s winning his war against the website.
In a series of posts on Twitter, he writes, "I don’t know why people underestimate me. I just shut down Worldstar. For future advertising contact Thisis50.com suckers… I put Worldstar to bed, you don’t believe try me (and) I will shut your s**t down… I predict 2 more websites will shut down this week. FRANKLIN REFUSING TO GIVE UP ON BERRY

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:47 pm

ARETHA FRANKLIN is refusing to give up on her dream of seeing HALLE BERRY tell her life story on the big screen - the legendary performer insists the actress can lip-sync if she doesn’t want to sing in the biopic.
The soul star is working with movie bosses to adapt her autobiography Aretha: From These Roots into a film, and she’s named Berry as her favourite to star.
The Oscar-winner recently admitted she wouldn’t feel comfortable taking on a role in a musical picture, saying, "If I could carry a tune, I’d consider it. Someone should tell Aretha that I can’t do her justice." But Franklin is determined to get Berry to sign up and she is urging the actress not to dismiss the part.
In a statement read out on the Wendy Williams Show, Franklin says, "She shouldn’t underestimate her own talent… I never expected Halle to sing. She’s an actress, not a singer. Many actors have portrayed vocalists by lip-syncing to the artist’s original recordings."

NEW ZEALAND OFFICIALS APOLOGISE TO FARIS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:47 pm

ANNA FARIS has received an apology from New Zealand tourism officials for questioning her "credibility" after she described the country’s men as foul-mouthed louts in a recent interview.
In a chat with TV talk show host George Lopez last month (Dec10), the actress admitted men on the streets of Auckland had shouted profanities at her while she was living there during the filming of kids’ movie Yogi Bear.
Faris’ claims prompted Tourism New Zealand spokesman Ian Long to hit back by criticising her acceptance of a prize from High Times magazine during the Lopez Tonight show for playing a marijuana user on the big screen.
He said, "In the same segment (of the TV show), she accepts an award for being a pothead stoner of the year… I don’t think she has any credibility." New Zealand tourism bosses are now hoping to make amends with the Scary Movie star - they’ve promised to show her "great Kiwi hospitality" next time she’s in the country.
A statement from the Tourism New Zealand agency reads, "The inference that Tourism NZ did not take Ms. Faris’ comments seriously is very much regretted and was certainly not intended.
"On a U.S. talk show Ms. Faris spoke about disrespectful behaviour she experienced during her stay in New Zealand and as a consequence her impression of New Zealand men is, to say the least, poor."
