STARR SELLS ASPEN HOME

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:25 pm

RINGO STARR and his actress/model wife BARBARA BACH are reducing their assets - they’ve put one of their luxury homes up for sale.
The former Beatle and his wife own property in Los Angeles, Colorado, and the U.K., in addition to their main home in Monte Carlo, Monaco.
But it appears the couple is tiring of jetting around the world to their various abodes - they are selling off their 975 square-metre (3,200 square-foot) cabin in Aspen, Colorado for a cool $4.5 million (£3 million).
The riverside property, which Starr and Bach reportedly purchased in 1990, is set on 16 acres of land. Local reports suggest the couple has put the home on the market because they rarely stay there.

FLAMING LIPS TO RELEASE A SONG A MONTH

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:25 pm

THE FLAMING LIPS plan to release a new song every month throughout 2011.
The band’s last studio album, Embryonic, was released in 2009 and they followed that up with a remake of Pink Floyd’s iconic The Dark Side Of The Moon record later that year.
They are heading back to the recording studio in 2011, but frontman Wayne Coyne reveals they are adopting a new way of working - they will write and record one song at a time and release them one-by-one instead of putting together a whole album.
He tells Rolling Stone, "We’ll start in late January, though I’m not sure if we’ll get together exactly by then. With this new thing, we’re going to spend a lot of time recording at our houses or wherever we are at.
"We’ll try to release a song a month and document the song in the making, whether it takes us three or five days or a week. It’s gonna be, ‘We’re working on a song and it’s gonna be up by Friday.’ We just want to (release material) some other way.
"Not that I think the old way was boring, but to spend another two years with the same 13 songs, it’s just like ‘f**k’. I think we’re going to just start to do things and put it out. Once we get 11 or 12 songs together, maybe we’ll do something else with it.
"We want to try to live through our music as we create it instead of it being a collection of the last couple years of our lives."

FRANCO AND GRANDMOTHER MOCK SQUEAMISH MOVIE FANS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:25 pm

JAMES FRANCO has recruited his grandmother to send a foul-mouthed message to fans too squeamish to watch his latest film 127 HOURS.
The actor can be seen sitting on a couch with his elderly relative, who wears a T-shirt which reads ‘I Kept My Eyes Open For 127 Hours’, in a video entitled ‘Christmas Greetings from the Francos’ on FunnyOrDie.com.
The shirt refers to the spate of movie-goers who have fainted during a gruesome scene in which Franco’s character amputates his arm with a knife - and in the skit, Franco’s grandma declares just what she thinks of their delicate dispositions.
In the clip, Franco asks his gran, "There are some people that hear about this movie and they’re a little scared to see it. I was wondering if you could tell everybody what you thought of those people?" She then replies, "I think they’re a bunch of p**sies!"

GANDOLFINI IS A SNOW HERO

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:22 pm

JAMES GANDOLFINI has been hailed a hero after coming to the rescue of a motorist stuck in a snow drift in New York City.
The Sopranos star spotted a stricken driver stranded on a street in Manhattan’s West Village on Monday evening (27Dec10) and went over to help out.
The actor dug the car out of the snow and recruited a number of strangers to help him push the vehicle out of the drift, and afterwards he went to nearby bar/restaurant Daddy-O to change a $100 note to hand out tips to those who had helped.
Daddy-O owner Phil Casaceli tells the New York Post gossip column Page Six, "Bedford Street didn’t get ploughed until late Monday night, and the whole street was a three-foot drift of snow. Somebody driving down the street got stuck in their car around 8pm - and the next minute, James Gandolfini appeared from another car behind and offered to help out. He helped dig their car out and then rocked it back and forth to get it out of the snow bank. He used a lot of old-school elbow grease.
"It took him 45 minutes to get the car unstuck. Some offered to help, and others just watched because you don’t often see Tony Soprano digging people out of the snow. It was a real New York moment. Somebody had the luck of the draw, and it was James Gandolfini who came to their rescue.
"(After changing a note in the bar) he then took the $20 bills to thank the guys who helped them out. He was a real gentleman."

He says, "Ever since high school, I would like a girl and they would say, ‘I see you as my brother’.

NEIL SAVED BY LATE DAUGHTER

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:16 pm

MOTLEY CRUE singer VINCE NEIL is convinced he was saved from a downward spiral of depression and drugs following a ghostly visit from his late daughter.
The rocker was devastated when five-year-old Skylar passed away in 1995 after a battle with cancer, and Neil turned to booze and pills to block out the pain.
He struggled with depression and suicidal thoughts for two years and endured numerous stints in rehab, until he was saved by a spooky experience.
Neil tells U.S. TV show Celebrity Ghost Stories, "After we buried (Skylar), I sedated myself on pills and alcohol. I couldn’t take it.
"For months I really tried to kill myself. I wanted to die. It went on for two years after she passed away - I was in eight or nine rehabs. I felt she was waiting for me, and the only place I wanted to go was to her.
"One night I was lying in bed with her blanket, still wanting to die. I was sound asleep - and there was a little tug on the blanket. I woke up, opened my eyes and the door was open.
"I was scared. I didn’t know what was going on - but it was her."
