Rapper FOXY BROWN has apologised to fans for cancelling a Christmas Eve (24Dec10) concert in Brooklyn, New York, to mourn the loss of "someone special".
The star pulled out of the festive show at the last minute leaving fans disappointed.
No explanation was given for Brown’s absence, but she has now revealed all about her concert cancellation in an emotional Twitter.com post.
She writes, "Grieving the loss of someone special & dear to me. I’d like to personally apologize for the confusion… of the beautiful ‘Christmas In Brooklyn’ party."

Fans of beloved pop supergroup ABBA have been given a New Year boost - singer AGNETHA FALTSKOG is keen to meet up with her three former bandmates and discuss a possible reunion.
The reclusive Swedish star, who was married to one-time bandmate Bjorn Ulvaeus, has been the most reluctant to talk about a get-together - and even snubbed the group’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction earlier this year (10) - but now it appears she’d at least like to sit down and talk about the old times.

Former FULL HOUSE star CANDACE CAMERON BURE has broken her silence about her battle with bulimia.
In her new book Reshaping It All, the actress reveals she began binging and purging after Full House ended its run in 1995, as she coped with the emotional stress of moving from the U.S. to Canada with new husband, hockey player Valeri Bure.
And the 34 year old is finally opening up about her eating disorder after reaching a healthy weight and developing a better relationship with food, which she credits to her husband and their three kids.
She tells People.com, "It’s a very dangerous cycle that can just start to consume your life and really take over.
"It wasn’t about me trying to lose weight. It was all about emotions."

Comedy legend RODNEY DANGERFIELD’s widow has fallen in love with billionaire KIRK KERKORIAN, according to new U.S. reports.

"Joan was lonely after Rodney died, and she just hit it off with Kirk." Joan was devoted to her late husband until his death in 2004. Kerkorian has been married three times.

Oscar-winning special effects artist GRANT MCCUNE has died, aged 67.
The filmmaker passed away at his California home on Monday (27Dec10) after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.
McCune was behind the shark model created for Steven Spielberg’s 1975 thriller Jaws and went onto work on 1977’s Star Wars, which won him the visual effects Academy Award.
He continued his career behind the scenes on films including Die Hard, Never Say Never Again, Big, Space Balls and Caddyshack and launched his own company, Grant McCune Design, working on movies such as Speed, Batman Forever, Red Planet and Spider-Man.
He is survived by his wife, Katherine, and two children, Cole and Lily.

GIRLS GONE WILD founder JOE FRANCIS and his wife of seven weeks have separated, according to U.S. reports.
The filmmaker and producer insists the reports are "false" but friends tell UsMagazine.com that Christina McLarty has moved out of the couple’s Los Angeles home.

Pregnant NATALIE PORTMAN has opened up about the physical and emotional demands of playing a ballet dancer in BLACK SWAN, revealing she thought she may "die" during the intense training and filming.
The actress spent up to eight hours a day in dance rehearsals to make her portrayal of a ballerina believable - and even dislocated a rib during the shoot.
Petite Portman, who also shed 20 pounds (9.1 kilograms) for the role, admits she became so low while making the movie she felt near to death.
She tells Entertainment Weekly, "There were some nights that I thought I literally was going to die.
"It was the first time I understood how you could get so wrapped up in a role that it could sort of take you down." But the movie did bring the actress double joy - she announced earlier this week (begs27Dec10) she is engaged to and pregnant by choreographer fiance Benjamin Millepied, who she met while working on the film.

SEAN PENN was so moved by JAVIER BARDEM’s portrayal of a cancer patient in BIUTIFUL, he sat in stunned silence for 15 minutes after the screening finished, according to the film’s director.
The outspoken Milk actor was at a loss for words after watching the Spanish-language film, which stars Bardem as a dying man trying to put his affairs in order for his two sons.

ASHTON KUTCHER’s latest prank appears to have backfired - he insists comments he made to a fitness magazine about his efforts to get toned and tough so he can fend for himself and look after his family following an Armageddon-type crisis have been taken far too seriously.
The actor told Men’s Fitness magazine he fears a major U.S. energy meltdown is nigh and he’s trying to get superfit so he can deal with the chaos that will follow a blackout or worse.
Kutcher discovered combat training Krav Maga last year (09) as he prepared to tone up for his role in Killers and he told the publication he’s obsessed with running, Bikram yoga and Muay Thai fighting - so he can dominate in desperate times.
He said, "It will not take much for people to hit the panic button. The amount of convenience that people rely on based on electricity alone. You start taking out electricity and satellites, and people are going to lose their noodle… What happens when all our modern conveniences fail? I’m going to be ready to take myself and my family to a safe place where they don’t have to worry… All of my physical fitness regimen is completely tailored around the end… I stay fit for no other reason than to save the people I care about." But the media fuss over the article has prompted Kutcher to take to Twitter.com and explain his comments.
In a tweet to fans who feared Kutcher had become a conspiracy theorist, Kutcher wrote, "Sometimes u have to do interviews just to amuse yourself. This is what a conversation looks like out of context." He later added, "They are my words for sure. I was trying to give some kind of response to the question what motivates you to work out."

The executors of MICHAEL JACKSON’s estate have fired off an angry missive to the head of the Discovery Channel TV network in an effort to make him reconsider plans to show a re-enactment of the King of Pop’s autopsy in Europe.
Ads for the January (11) TV special have already aired in the U.K. and now co-executors John Branca and John McClain have penned a letter to David Zaslav, urging him to pull the programme out of decency.
In the document, obtained by TMZ.com, they accuse the network’s bosses of operating in "shockingly bad taste… while cynically attempting to dupe the public into believing this show will have serious medical value".
Branca and McClain add, "We were especially outraged when a sickening print advertisement for the program appeared making light of Michael’s death by depicting a corpse sprawled on a steel gurney covered by a sheet with a hand sticking out wearing Michael’s signature sequined glove…. The ad is debased, sick and insensitive." They conclude the letter with, "On behalf of Michael’s family, fans, common sense and decency, we urge you to reconsider and cancel this program."

Country sweetheart-turned-movie star JULIANNE HOUGH’s new video has been banned from cable music channels across America - because she reveals too much.
The Christian bosses behind the country’s top country video networks have opted not to show sexy Hough’s new promo for Is That So Wrong, and websites like YouTube.com have also decided the racy video is too much for young fans.
Hough, who is among the stars of new movie Burlesque, admits she doesn’t know what all the fuss is about.
She tells the Globe, "Apparently, I was taking off too many clothes as I was dancing across my bedroom (in the video). I kind of liked it." A spokesman for CMT - one of the networks not showing the video - insists a contractual hitch is behind the black-out, and YouTube.com bosses insist a copyright issue is behind their decision not to show the promo.

R&B star BRANDY is ringing in the New Year with a new tattoo of Hindu deity Ganesh.
The singer and TV star initially left fans baffled when she revealed all about her new skin art on Twitter.com, suggesting the religious design was Egyptian - but she quickly corrected herself.
She writes, "Ganesh is actually a Hindu deity, not Egyptian the tattoo is gorgeous!" Brandy showed off her spiritual new tattoo in a picture on her Twitter.com page on Tuesday (28Dec10).
And now Hindu leaders are calling on Brandy to visit a California temple - to learn more about the religion.

I will gladly provide the Hinduism resources helpful in her exploration and comprehensive understanding of Hinduism." Actress EMMY ROSSUM has agreed to pay ex-husband, music executive JUSTIN SIEGEL, $57,000 (GBP38,000) as part of their divorce settlement.
The Poseidon star was secretly wed to Siegel for a 18 months before he filed for divorce in September, 2009, citing irreconcilable differences.
According to the divorce judgment, filed on Tuesday (28Dec10) in Los Angeles County Superior Court, he has also been awarded an $11,200 (GBP7,470) security deposit, a Mercedes and jewellery.
Rossum, who recently split from Counting Crows rocker Adam Duritz, has received the marital house, her jewellery and other personal belongings in the split.
Siegel requested spousal support in his filings but it was not awarded to either party.

ISABELLE CARO, the French model who gave anorexia a face, has died. She was just 28.
Caro passed away on 17 November (10) after battling the eating disorder for almost 15 years.
She shocked and stunned the world in 2007 when she posed naked for an anorexia awareness campaign billboard shot by Italian photographer Oliviero Toscani.
Caro had just returned from a job in Japan when she died in her native France, according to the Associated Press.

Outspoken actor RUPERT EVERETT is making quick enemies of JENNIFER ANISTON and fellow Brit COLIN FIRTH, branding her career choices "tasteless" and his performance in movie musical MAMMA MIA! "career suicide".
In a BBC radio rant, the My Best Friend’s Wedding star admits he can’t understand why the two A-listers still have careers in the film industry after consistent film flops - and he used Aniston’s turn in box office bombs The Switch, The Bounty Hunter and Love Happens as a prime example.
He says, "If you look and analyze the careers of many, many stars, you’ll find that they’re mostly sustained by the business. I’m not going to start naming names of people whose films have not succeeded at the box office, but you’ll find there’s lots of women and lots of men in the business that the powers that be decide are right for their business, and they’ll stand with them for quite a long time.
"OK, something will go wrong, like Jennifer Aniston will have one too many total flops, but she’s still a member of that club… Like a star forming in the universe, things will swirl around her and it will suddenly solidify into another vital tasteless romcom (romantic comedy)." Everett went on to call out Firth, despite the fact he shone in last year’s A Single Man and is a favourite to collect a Best Actor Oscar for his role in The King’s Speech.
