WILLIAMS DEFENDS BLUE VALENTINE SEX SCENE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:21 pm

MICHELLE WILLIAMS has defended a controversial sex scene in her movie BLUE VALENTINE, insisting she is "proud" to have filmed the risque clinch.
The actress plays Ryan Gosling’s lover in the drama, which was initially stamped with a restrictive NC-17 rating because of a graphic oral sex scene between the two stars.
Williams admits she was baffled by the decision, since she is adamant there was nothing "scandalous" about the shoot.
She tells Reuters, "When we shot that scene, both Ryan and (director) Derek (Cianfrance) said to me, ‘If this bothers you when you see it in the movie, we’ll take it out.’ "I thought, ‘I’ve never seen that before in a movie and I’m proud to be the first. Good on us for making that happen.’ As the woman in the situation that was in question, I found absolutely nothing scandalous, tawdry or disgusting about it." Film censors at the Motion Picture Association of America’s Classification and Rating Administration agreed to release the movie with an R rating after studio bosses challenged their original decision.

ANDERSON’S AIRPORT AD BANNED IN HONG KONG

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:22 am

A racy animal rights advert featuring PAMELA ANDERSON has been banned from another airport after officials in Hong Kong deemed the promo too risque.
Anderson is seen posing as a scantily-clad member of airport security staff in the clip for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). She is shown stripping passengers, including Jackass star Steve-O and comic Andy Dick, of their leather, fur and other animal products as they pass through security checks.
It was banned from Logan International Airport in Boston, Massachusetts last month (Nov10) and now chiefs at Hong Kong’s airport have refused to screen the ad, because it was "considered inappropriate" and might offend some visitors, reports the AFP.
The promo was banned from all three New York City airports by officials last year (09) amid fears it was not suitable for passengers with young children.

COOPER PLANS LAST DAY ON EARTH

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:22 am

If rocker ALICE COOPER had one day left on earth he’d wake up on Maui, play golf in Augusta, Atlanta and New Jersey and force vegan SIR PAUL McCARTNEY to eat a steak in front of him.
The School’s Out hitmaker has a very clear vision of his last 24 hours - if he’s given the heads up.
He tells ThePulseOfRadio.com, "I’d wake up in Maui. That’s the best place to wake up in the world anyway, because that’s sort of like halfway between earth and heaven. It’s the halfway point. It gives you a little taste of heaven… and then you’re immediately on the first tee at Augusta, and then you’re immediately on the first tee at Pine Valley." He’d then wrap up the day by dining with Mike Myers, Michael Douglas, Catherine Zeta Jones, Sylvester Stallone, Rob Zombie, Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney - with the latter eating a "big thick steak".
Then it’s off to bed for a long sleep: "I think you just go to sleep. I can’t imagine a long death."

BRINKLEY IS UNLUCKY IN LOVE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:16 am

CHRISTIE BRINKLEY is struggling to find love again two years after her divorce and now admits romance is not her "number one priority".
The veteran supermodel’s marriage to Peter Cook came to an end in 2008 and she has since been focusing her efforts on looking after the former couple’s children, Jack, 15, and Sailor, 12.
Brinkley is convinced being a full-time mother has a detrimental effect on her love life, but she is now happy to just concentrate on her kids.
She tells Prevention magazine, "Most of the time, I’ve got my kids with me, so I’m not as prone to meeting people. And then, you never really know if someone is talking to you because you’re a celebrity. (Romance is) not my number one priority." NO ACTING FOR WILLIAMS’ DAUGHTER

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:13 am

MICHELLE WILLIAMS refuses to let her daughter MATILDA star alongside her in movies - because she wants to let the youngster choose her own path in life.
The Brokeback Mountain star admits she once thought about letting a director cast the five year old, her child with the late Heath Ledger, with her in a film, but ultimately decided against the opportunity.
She tells Reuters, "There were a few very sweet, very light scenes that were more about playing. They were having a hard time finding a child and I said to the director, ‘Gosh, Matilda would be the right age.’ But then (I) realised if that’s something she’s interested in, then it’s a choice she can make in her own life. It’s something she’s never expressed interest in doing. Her interests are horseback riding, Flamenco dancing and taking care of puppies." And Williams was adamant Matilda would have no part in her racy new drama Blue Valentine: "I think in the context of Blue Valentine, that would have been too strange and not healthy for her at all. The things that were happening - the bad vibes of a relationship for instance - felt very real."

LONDON MAYOR CHAMPIONS RICHARDS FOR KNIGHTHOOD

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:46 am

London’s eccentric Mayor BORIS JOHNSON has sparked a last-minute campaign to land rocker KEITH RICHARDS a knighthood in the QUEEN’s New Year Honours List.
In a letter published by Britain’s Daily Telegraph, the journalist-turned-politician admits he’s upset Mick Jagger has been knighted and not his Rolling Stones sidekick.
Johnson writes, "It is a continuing scandal that Keef (sic) Richards has not been made, at the very least, a knight bachelor, and the outrage became clear to me this Christmas when… I was given a copy of Keef’s super-selling autobiography… By the end of my researches I felt the full weight of the injustice.
"I cannot think of another member of the British artistic, cultural or media world who has done so much or who has so widely penetrated the global consciousness… Arise Sir Keef, I say, and if there were any damn merit in it, he would have the Order of Merit, too." The Queen will announce her annual Honours List at the end of the week (31Dec10-01Jan11).
