A representative for DEMI LOVATO has moved to silence rumours the troubled singer/actress is featured in a soon-to-be-leaked sex tape - branding the story "disgusting".

TEENAGE INTRUDER APOLOGISES TO BOYLE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:10 pm

A teenager who was caught raiding SUSAN BOYLE’s home has apologised to the Scottish singing sensation for the "frightening episode".
Boyle was left terrified when she returned to her house in West Lothian, Scotland in January (10) to find an intruder in the hallway, and subsequently revealed the incident "scared the living daylights" out of her.
A 16-year-old youth was arrested and later admitted to a charge of theft for stealing $13.50 (£9) from the star’s home.
He was due to hand over a fine of $150 (£100) to Boyle’s chosen charity at a sentencing hearing at Livingston Sheriff Court on Friday (17Dec10), but was unable to pay as he didn’t have enough money to cover the sum.
The judge postponed sentencing for six months to give him time to save up, and the teenager issued a statement through his lawyer, Darryl Lovie, to say sorry to Boyle.
Lovie told the court, "(My client) understands and accepts that this must have been a frightening episode for Miss Boyle. He wishes to extend his apologies to her and undertakes not to place himself in this position again. He hasn’t come to the police’s attention again."

HARRIS ‘FEELS BAD’ ABOUT BRAEDEN RANT

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:10 pm

NEIL PATRICK HARRIS has conceded he "feels bad" after launching a scathing attack on veteran actor ERIC BRAEDEN for pulling out of a planned appearance on HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER.
The Young and the Restless star joined the cast of the hit show for a one-off episode in 2008 and was due to reprise his role in an upcoming installment, but scrapped plans at the last minute.
Harris went online on Friday (17Dec10) to criticise Braeden’s decision to drop out, writing in a post on Twitter.com, "Eric Braeden is a D-bag (d**chebag). The actor… agreed to a cameo, then last night bailed, saying the part wasn’t ’substantial’ enough…
"We’ve recast with Ray Wise, a fantastic actor who makes any part ’substantial’. Super excited to welcome him to the family!" The rant prompted Braeden to speak out, insisting he had to scrap the filming commitment due to his busy schedule, but he will "forgive" Harris for his remarks.
A statement to Deadline.com, reads: "My first time on (How I Met Your Mother) I enjoyed working with the writers, directors, and crew enormously. However, I did not have the pleasure of meeting most of the cast, including this fellow who put his foot in his mouth by saying what he did. It’s Christmas time and I forgive him for his transgression… I have been overworked at Y&R (The Young and the Restless)… I was (also) not aware of what they wanted me to do until the day before." Harris has now backtracked on his comments, writing on Twitter.com, "Now I feel bad for the D-bag comment. Don’t know the guy personally. I’m just fiercely protective of our show."

A man convicted of stalking UMA THURMAN in 2008 has been held without bail ahead of his court date in New York next week (22Dec10), when he will face two charges for criminal contempt.
Jack Jordan broke the terms of his restraining order in October (10) when he attempted to contact the actress by making a series of calls to the Kill Bill star’s cell and New York office phone, prompting Thurman to lodge an official complaint with police.
He was arrested after a raid on his mother’s home in Maryland in November (10) and was placed under doctors’ supervision.
Jordan was charged with two counts of criminal contempt for allegedly violating the order of protection, and was transferred to New York on Thursday (16Dec10).
He was also hit with more stalking charges.
Jordan appeared before Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Gregory Carro later on Thursday and entered a not guilty plea.
He was ordered to remain in custody at the tough Rikers Island prison until his next hearing on Wednesday (22Dec10).
A request for protective custody from Jordan’s legal team was rejected by Judge Carro.
In 2008, Jordan was found guilty of fourth-degree stalking and one count of second-degree aggravated harassment after sending the blonde beauty creepy letters and threatening to kill himself outside her New York home in 2005.

VARONE FEARED UNDER-PERFORMING FOR NUDE PLAYGIRL SHOOT

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:43 am

Rocker PHIL VARONE was feeling the pressure in the days leading up to his nude covershoot for Playgirl magazine, because he feared he would be under too much stress to perform in front of the cameras.
The former Skid Row drummer admits stripping completely bare for the women’s publication was daunting and he worried he would not be able to measure up for the duration of the shoot.
He tells WENN, "It’s one thing to do a photoshoot, it’s another thing to be completely nude obviously, and then to be a man on top of it because there’s so many things that could go wrong, if you know what I mean! "It was kinda like I had to perform and there was this time frame where the photographer wanted these erect shots, so it got a little stressful." And Varone made sure the rest of his body was in tip-top shape for the magazine by hitting the gym for a solid three weeks in the run-up to the big reveal.
He says, "For the most part though on the body I just got into the gym. I’m a skinny, tattooed rocker, I don’t have a Chippendale-type body and never will, so I just tried to do the best I could and just hoped that everything else hung the right way.
"I was in for about three weeks solid. I go to the gym normally, so it wasn’t anything new, however with (the shoot) coming up I was in the gym like every day, which I normally wouldn’t do. So there was a lot of cardio and getting ready, stretched and all that fun stuff."

LAWSUIT AGAINST MICHELE AND DEF JAM BOSSES HEADING TO COURT

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:43 am

R&B singer CHRISETTE MICHELE and her bosses at Def Jam Records are heading to court to fight a $20 million (£13.3 million) lawsuit filed against them by her former manager and boyfriend - after a New York judge refused to dismiss the case.
Douglas ‘Biggs’ Ellison took legal action against Michele, her parents Lynette and Lemuel Payne, and label executives in June 2008, accusing them of engaging in unlawful business practices in a bid to free the star from her contracts with his firm, Four Kings Productions Inc.
He alleges he had a deal in place with Def Jam from September 2005 to produce a number of songs for Michele’s debut album, I Am.
However, Ellison claims Lynette Payne ousted him as Michele’s manager once she found fame "in an effort to keep the money in the family", according to the legal papers filed in New York Supreme Court.
Lawyers for the defendants moved to have the lawsuit dismissed earlier this month (Dec10), but a judge has denied the motion and ruled the case will go to trial.

CAPTAIN BEEFHEART DEAD AT 69

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:40 am

American rocker and painter CAPTAIN BEEFHEART has died at the age of 69.
The star passed away on Friday (17Dec10), according to a representative for the Michael Werner Gallery in New York. His exact cause of death was unknown, although he had long been suffering from multiple sclerosis.
Born Don Van Vliet, the singer rose to fame in the 1960s with his own style of blues and rock, later influencing artists such as Tom Waits, Nick Cave and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
He recorded under the moniker Captain Beefheart with his pals in the Magic Band until 1982, before gradually moving away from the music industry and focusing his efforts on his love of art.
He was a successful painter and drawer, and one picture by Vliet sold for $40,000 (£26,700) at the Michael Werner Gallery earlier this month (Dec10).
Paying tribute to the artist, a statement issued by the gallery reads, "Don Van Vliet was a complex and influential figure in the visual and performing arts.
"He is perhaps best known as the incomparable Captain Beefheart who, together with his Magic Band, rose to prominence in the 1960s with a totally unique style of blues-inspired, experimental rock & roll.
"This would ultimately secure Van Vliet’s place in music history as one of the most original recording artists of his time. After two decades in the spotlight as an avant-garde composer and performer, Van Vliet retired from performing to devote himself wholeheartedly to painting and drawing.
"Like his music, Van Vliet’s lush paintings are the product of a truly rare and unique vision."

ADAMS’ SLEEPLESS NIGHTS HELPED ADDICT PORTRAYAL

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:37 am

AMY ADAMS found it easy to play a drug addict in new movie ON THE ROAD as she was already "strung out" on set from nursing her newborn baby through the night.
The actress gave birth to little Aviana in May (10) and began filming the drama with Kristen Stewart and Kirsten Dunst just three months later (Aug10).
Adams was left "exhausted" from juggling motherhood with work, but she’s convinced fatigue improved her performance.
She tells Chelsea Handler, "I couldn’t (do) method (acting) because I have a baby! When you have a baby and you haven’t slept… I was doing nights by myself so I kind of felt like a drug addict anyway.
"I was all strung out - I just went with it. I was exhausted and nursing. I was just a mess."

RYDER WORRIES ABOUT TURNING 40

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:37 am

WINONA RYDER is dreading her upcoming 40th birthday - because she has been "warned" about reaching the milestone age throughout her Hollywood career.
The Edward Scissorhands star, who has been making movies since the 1980s, will celebrate the landmark next October (11).
But Ryder has long feared moving into her forties, because so many people told her it would mark a downturn in her career.
She tells GQ, "I’m at that age I’ve been warned my whole life about." But the actress is determined to follow in the footsteps of her idol Meryl Streep, who has carved out a stellar career in her later years despite feeling abandoned by Hollywood in her late 30s.
She adds, "It’s hard to imagine a time where Meryl Streep wasn’t the first choice for everything, but I was reading some article, and she said something like, ‘Yeah, when I was around 38, 39, I turned to my husband and said, ‘Should we just call it a day, or should we try to kick the can down the road?’ "It was so weird to me to think about movies without her in them. But a lot of great actresses have chosen that."
