NE-YO is refusing to listen to the posthumous MICHAEL JACKSON album - because he’s adamant if the King of Pop was still alive he wouldn’t have released the tracks.
Michael, which features previously unheard Jackson material including a collaboration with Ne-Yo, hit music retailers last week (begs13Dec10), but its release has not been without controversy.
The singer’s longtime producer Quincy Jones blasted record bosses at Sony for allowing the perfectionist’s unfinished songs to be heard by the public, while members of the Jackson family have raised concerns about the authenticity of the vocals.
Now Ne-Yo has spoken out to explain his boycott of the record, insisting he’s not interested in listening to it.
He tells TMZ.com, "If Michael was still alive… I don’t think the album would be out yet… I’m gonna stick to my old Mike."

AMY WINEHOUSE has sparked fresh fears for her health after she slurred and stumbled her way through a comeback concert in Russia at the weekend (17-19Dec10).
The Rehab hitmaker flew out to Moscow to play her first official gig for more than two years after taking time out to battle her drink and drug demons.
The British singer was reportedly back to full health and ready to relaunch her career with a series of shows - but reports in Russia suggest she was drunkenly swaying and slurring her words during the performance after downing a bottle of whisky backstage.
Winehouse will be paid $450,000 (£300,000) for the Russian concert and a series of gigs in Brazil next month (Jan11), according to Britain’s The Sun.

Pregnant EMMA BUNTON faces spending Christmas at her mother’s house after she was forced to quit her luxury home when icy weather froze the property’s plumbing.
The former Spice Girl was looking forward to enjoying the festive season with her longterm partner Jade Jones and their three-year-old son Beau at the family home in Hertfordshire, south England.
But the region was hit with heavy snowfall and sub-zero temperatures over the weekend (18-19Dec10) - and the family has been forced to flee to Bunton’s mother Pauline’s house after water pipes at their home froze over.
Taking to her Twitter.com blog, Bunton writes, "Good morning, I’ve woken to frozen pipes so no water!!! Need a plumber!!… So we can’t un freeze my pipes, off to my mums to get looked after!!!"

LIONEL RICHIE’s "dream" came true when he played host at his daughter NICOLE’s wedding to JOEL MADDEN earlier this month (Dec10) - because he always wanted his children to marry at his home.
Richie wed the Good Charlotte rocker at her father Lionel’s Los Angeles estate on 11 December (10) in front of guests including Quincy Jones and Gwen Stefani.
And The Simple Life star is pleased she exchanged vows at her father’s house - because he’d always dreamed of hosting a fairytale wedding since buying the sprawling property.
Richie tells Britain’s Hello! magazine, "When he moved into that house, my dad always told me and my sister Sofia that he wanted us to get married there. My dad loves his family and takes it very, very seriously.
"It’s been his dream for his children to get married at his house surrounded by family and that’s exactly what happened. He’s a real family man."

Rocker RONNIE WOOD is eyeing a slot at next year’s (11) U.K. music festival Glastonbury - he wants the ROLLING STONES to reunite on stage for the first time in three years at the iconic event.
The veteran rockers have stepped away from the spotlight since they completed their 144-date A Bigger Bang trek in 2007, which remains the highest-grossing concert tour of all time, while their album of the same name was released in 2005.
Rumours of a Rolling Stones resurgence have been rife recently, and last month (Nov10) guitarist Keith Richards confirmed the musicians are about to start recording new music together.
Now Wood has spoken out, insisting it’s "high time" they regrouped onstage, and revealed he’d love to headline Britain’s biggest festival next summer (11) to mark the reunion.
He tells Britain’s Metro, "I’d love to do it (Glastonbury). I’m always up for the festivals. As far as the Stones are concerned we haven’t had a get-together for three years but it’s high time."

JULIANNA MARGULIES felt like an outcast as a child - because her family’s globetrotting lifestyle meant her accent was always out of place.
The former E.R. star lived in New York, the U.K., and Paris, France when she was growing up, and she constantly had to adapt her diction to fit in with other schoolchildren.
But she admits the family’s travels were so frequent she struggled to master local dialect in time - so she constantly sounded "wrong".
Margulies tells Britain’s You magazine, "I never felt like I fitted in anywhere, and I always sounded wrong. Just when I’d get my British accent sorted, I’d be back in America; then just when I’d get my American accent back, we’d be upping sticks again to England."

Actress ROSAMUND PIKE was shocked when make-up artists transformed her into an old woman for her new movie role - because she looked "hideous" with wrinkles.
The former Bond girl plays Miriam, a woman who ages from her 20s to 58, in upcoming drama Barney’s Version, and admits she was in "crisis" when she saw her future self.
But Pike’s fears were short-lived - the make-up artist had accidentally transformed her into an 80-year-old lady.
The actress tells Britain’s Culture magazine, "I had a moment of total crisis, because I thought, ‘Maybe this is what I’m going to look like. I’ll be hideous. Hollywood actress JOAN COLLINS is so terrified of falling ill she refused to shake rock legend OZZY OSBOURNE’s hand in case she picked up a bug.
The former Black Sabbath frontman recently spotted the Dynasty star in an elevator at his apartment building in Los Angeles but when he offered his hand as a friendly gesture, Collins declined to touch him.
And Osbourne is adamant he understands why the actress snubbed him - because picking up germs can be damaging for a celebrity’s career.
In his health column for The Sunday Times Magazine, Osbourne writes, "The other day… Joan Collins (was) in the lift of my apartment building in L.A. I went to shake her hand and she said: ‘Oh no, Ozzy, I can’t get sick.’ Mind you, I can understand the worry as long as people don’t take it too far and go around blaming each other for their sniffles.
"I’m a singer, so if I get a cold on the road, shows can get cancelled and livelihoods are at stake."

SHARON OSBOURNE was forced to apologise for repeatedly swearing while presenting a live show on U.K. TV on Monday (20Dec10).
The America’s Got Talent host was filling in for presenter Lorraine Kelly on morning programme Lorraine when she let slip the word "bl**dy" at least twice.
After producers asked her to apologise to viewers, Osbourne said, "I think I’ve offended somebody because they’ve said in my ear here that I’ve said the word bl**dy and I’ve got to apologise… I’m sorry, I shouldn’t say that in the morning… it’s not allowed and I don’t want to offend anyone and it’s Christmas, so I’m going to be nice." But Osbourne faced the wrath of TV bosses when she accidentally let slip the offensive word again, telling guest Pamela Stephenson, who recently lost a lot of weight on reality contest Strictly Come Dancing: "You’ve got nothing to bl**dy lose." When she realised she had blundered for a second time, Osbourne told viewers, "Oh, I’ve done it again. I’m sorry… I’m really, really sorry. MADONNA angered plane passengers in Britain over the weekend (18-19Dec10) after she was allowed off a diverted aircraft two hours before other travellers, according to a U.K. report.
The Holiday hitmaker was onboard a delayed Virgin flight from New York to London’s Heathrow, but the plane was diverted to nearby Stansted Airport because of heavy snowfall.
All passengers were kept on board for three hours after landing - but Madonna was allowed to leave after just 60 minutes, according Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper.
A source tells the publication, "After about an hour, a bus came along and took her and her party of about 15 off the plane. It seemed a little unfair. It’s not like she is the President or anything. The rest of us all had to wait for another two hours… Madonna was taken off the plane way before the rest of the first-class people. We were all grumbling about it."

GWYNETH PALTROW "understood" how to play an alcoholic in her new movie COUNTRY STRONG because she struggled to beat her tobacco addiction - even after her beloved dad died from throat cancer.
The Oscar-winning actress plays Kelly Canter - a fallen country performer battling personal problems and alcohol addiction who attempts to resurrect her career - in the acclaimed new film.
And she threw herself into her part by recalling her own experiences with addiction, remembering how she couldn’t give up nicotine even though her father Bruce died from smoking-related cancer in 2002.
Paltrow tells Britain’s The Sun, "I understood what it was like. I used to be very addicted to cigarettes, which is obviously very different to where Kelly is.
"So I did understand that thing of, ‘I know this is potentially going to give me cancer and I know it’s given my dad cancer, but I’m going to smoke it anyway,’ like that sort of disconnect.
"So I tried to extrapolate that out as much as possible, but what I didn’t understand was how you could wreck someone’s life or wreck your own life and then just keep going." The actress turned to her Iron Man co-star Robert Downey, Jr., who won his battles with drugs and booze, for advice on living with an addiction.
She adds, "I said, ‘Explain this to me - how you can cheat, how you can be a total disaster and really hurt people and just kind of wake up and have a cup of coffee? How does that work?’ "He explained it to me really well and I credit him with helping me to understand how addiction is in the present, in the physical."

LILY ALLEN is breathing a sigh of relief after reaching her holiday destination following a weekend of airport delays in London.
The Smile singer arrived at London’s Heathrow on Saturday (18Dec10) to discover wintry conditions had closed runways and caused several flights to be cancelled.
Allen and her boyfriend Sam Cooper’s travel plans were disrupted after they were forced to sit on their plane for more than three hours before all passengers were ordered back to the terminal.
The star and her beau left the airport and returned on Sunday (19Dec10) in the hope of being allowed to catch a flight - but they faced further problems.
In a series of posts on her Twitter.com page, Allen writes, "Ok, so, am on the plane, but now, because 5 people haven’t made it to the flight they’ve got to find the bags and get them off the plane. Which would be fine, but BAA baggage handlers are saying the weather has made it unsafe for them to go and find the bags. WHAT?!!!!!!!" But the 25 year old was finally allowed to depart from the airport and arrived at her destination in the early hours of Monday morning (20Dec10).
Updating her fans on the microblogging site, she declared, "I’m on holiday. Thank the Lord."

Classical singer KATHERINE JENKINS knew she was fated to land a role on U.K. cult sci-fi show DOCTOR WHO - because she spotted current Timelord MATT SMITH at a hotel just hours after auditioning.
The Welsh opera star has landed a cameo part in the annual festive installment of the sci-fi series, which airs in the U.K. on Christmas Day (25Dec10).
And Jenkins felt sure her guest appearance was written in the stars after a strange coincidence led to her staying in the same hotel as the Doctor hours after she read for casting directors.
She tells Britain’s Daily Express, "I went along to the casting director’s office in London the day before my 30th birthday and ran through about four or five scenes with them.
"Afterwards I drove 200 miles away to a hotel in Somerset to meet with some family and friends and guess who was the first person I saw as I walked into the lobby? Only Matt Smith himself.
"I wanted to go over to him and yell, ‘I might be acting alongside you’ but I had signed a confidentiality agreement not to breathe a word. I couldn’t even tell my mum where I’d been."

LADY GAGA has overcome severe snowstorm issues which caused her to scrap her Paris show on Sunday (19Dec10) - she’s rescheduled the gig for Tuesday (21Dec10) and promised French fans the night of their lives.
The Poker Face hitmaker was due to perform at Paris Bercy but her concert was axed after crewmembers were delayed due to a heavy blizzard.
The singer also claimed two employees were "arrested" after an encounter with authorities as they attempted to find a way around the obstacle to make it to the gig venue in time for the performance.
Gaga apologised to fans for the cancelled concert but it appears the star and her entourage have overcome their travel difficulties - she’s taken to her Twitter.com page to confirm Monday’s (20Dec10) gig in the city would still go ahead, and Sunday’s had been moved to Tuesday (21Dec10).
In a post on the site on Sunday evening, she writes, "Today’s cancelled Paris show is rescheduled for Tuesday, 2moro’s show will happen as planned. I promise to give u the nights of ure (sic) life." The heavy snowfall has caused havoc for travellers in northern Europe, with flights grounded across the continent.

British band SIMPLY RED have bowed out of the music industry, performing their last ever concert after 25 years together.
Frontman Mick Hucknall announced plans to break up the band last year (09) and started the group’s farewell trek in the U.K. earlier this month (Dec10).
The Fairground hitmakers performed their last show at London’s O2 Arena on Sunday night (19Dec10), playing a string of their classic hits.
Hucknall told the crowd, "I want to thank you so much for your support over the last 25 years. It’s been the most wonderful ride," before adding at the end of the show: "Good night, adios, Simply Red are no more." The gig was also broadcast in cinemas across the U.K. and Europe.
Hucknall, who recently replaced Rod Stewart in reformed band The Faces, is now planning to embark on a solo career.
