ZSA ZSA GABOR’s husband PRINCE FREDERIC VON ANHALT is set to undergo surgery to re-open one of his eyelids after accidentally gluing it shut.
A spokesperson for Von Anhalt tells TMZ.com he mistakenly grabbed his wife’s nail glue and squeezed it into his eye on Tuesday morning (21Dec10), sealing it shut.
Gabor’s partner was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where he was treated with painkillers and scheduled for surgery.
He is expected to be released later on Tuesday.
It’s not Von Anhalt’s first freak injury - he was hospitalised back in October (10) after swallowing a bee.

REESE WITHERSPOON never watches her own movies because seeing herself on screen leaves her wracked with "self-hate".
The Walk the Line actress often attends red carpet premieres of her Hollywood films, but she avoids sitting through screenings and never sees her movies after they’ve gone on general release.
And she is so anxious about her onscreen performances, her brain automatically blocks out the memories of filming once the cameras stop rolling.
She says, "I have absolute amnesia about every movie I have ever made. I won’t watch them because if I did I would spiral into a state of self-hate but I sometimes catch the odd clip of something. I look at it and think, ‘I have absolutely no memory of that’. It’s really weird."

KIRSTEN DUNST threw herself into the role of a real-life missing person for her new movie by spending time with the victim’s family.
The actress stars opposite Ryan Reynolds in All Good Things as real estate heir Robert Durst’s first wife Kathy, who disappeared in 1982.
Durst was later suspected of murdering one of his neighbours, although he was never convicted of the crime, but Kathy’s family has long feared he may have been involved in his wife’s disappearance.
Dunst undertook months of research before tackling the role, even having dinner with Kathy’s relatives and talking to them about the case.
She tells the New York Post, "There was a documentary plus much research to understand these people. I spent time with her family, had dinner at their house, listened to them, got their blessings for this film. Nervous at first that this ugly story’s coming back to public life, they had kind words for me but were emotional. It was almost cathartic for Kathy’s brother."

LINDSAY LOHAN is reportedly at the centre of a police probe amid allegations a staff member at California’s Betty Ford clinic was assaulted during the actress’ stay.
The Mean Girls star was moved from the rehab centre to another unit last week (beg13Dec10) to complete her court ordered treatment for violating her probation stemming from a DUI arrest.
But her relocation has been mired in controversy - it emerged on Tuesday (21Dec10) that officers in Palm Desert, California are investigating after a female member of the Betty Ford staff was assaulted during an altercation with Lohan and some pals, according to TMZ.com.
Cops received a call at 1.03am on 12 December (10) for "hand-to-hand battery" - but a source tells the website Lohan was not the perpetrator of the incident.
The troubled actress insists she didn’t strike the first blow and merely pushed back at the unnamed member of staff after she was "unfairly" lectured about arriving at the home after her curfew and ordered to take a drug or alcohol test, according to TMZ.
The website claims Lohan yelled, "Take your hands off of me" as the drama escalated, and then "pushed back" against the woman.

British singer ELLIE GOULDING is to spend a month on her own in a remote forest - so she can "find" herself and concentrate on her new music.
The Starry Eyed hitmaker has enjoyed a stellar year, with her debut album, Lights, shooting to the top spot of the U.K. chart. She also scooped the Critics’ Choice Award at the 2010 BRITs.
But now Goulding wants to go on vacation to somewhere hot over New Year - before shutting herself away in a wilderness to produce material for her second record.
She tells Britain’s Daily Star, "I’m going to go somewhere sunny and hot for New Year but after that I plan to spend a month on my own. It’s my ‘find myself’ month, when I’ll also start work on album two.
"I’m not going to an exotic beach hut, though. That wouldn’t work for me when it comes to writing music. I want to go somewhere small and cold in the woods. A forest lodge maybe."

KATY PERRY has opened up about her first date with husband RUSSELL BRAND, revealing he wooed her with diamonds and a copy of his autobiography.
The pop star married the comic in India in October (10) after a year-long romance and she has now detailed the beginning of their courtship which started with a dinner date.
Perry admits Brand handed her a pricey black diamond necklace and signed a copy of his 2007 tome My Booky Wook for her.
She tells Britain’s Grazia magazine, "Russell gave this (necklace) to me on our first date. It’s a Hindu hand of peace. But they’re not beads, they are black diamonds. He gave me black diamonds on our very first date." Perry goes on to describe how she went home with a copy of his book, adding, "I asked him if could have it. My hair was long and wavy at the time and he kept calling me a mermaid. He opened the book and wrote in it, ‘You’re a mermaid and I’m drowning.’ Then he put this necklace on me."

British singer/stage star CHESNEY HAWKES has blasted hoaxers who falsely claimed he would switch on a town’s Christmas lights - insisting they should donate money to charity for the stunt.
The One and Only hitmaker was billed in posters as the star attraction at the festive switch-on in Cupar, Scotland.
But the advertisements were drawn up by mystery pranksters not connected to officials in the town - and Hawkes has slammed the jokers for wasting money.
He says, "This is the first I’ve heard about this - clearly someone’s been up to mischief. They should have given the cash spent on the posters to charity."

British rockers COLDPLAY helped a fan propose to his girlfriend during a Christmas show on Monday night (20Dec10) by inviting him up on to the stage to pop the question.
The band performed an intimate festive show at the Journal Tyne Theatre in Newcastle, England to raise money for homeless charity Crisis.
Frontman Chris Martin made sure the concert was extra special for one gig-goer by letting him join the band on stage to propose to his partner.
Simon Bignell dropped to one knee to ask his girlfriend Ruth Farmer to marry him, much to the delight of the band and the crowd. It is not known if she accepted his proposal.

Opera singer KATHERINE JENKINS was relieved when her cocaine shame was revealed - because it proved to the world she’s just a "normal girl".
The Welsh star hit headlines in 2008 when she confessed to taking cocaine and ecstasy during her youth, smashing her "whiter than white" image.
The scandal still follows her around and she is often quizzed about it during interviews - and she frequently has to remind journalists she was not "an addict" and only ever "dabbled" in illicit substances.
Jenkins says, "In a way I was relieved when it came out. People had this whiter than white image of me as an angel who never took a wrong step. And I’m not. I’m a normal girl. But the whole thing got exaggerated.
"Now, when I’m doing interviews abroad, invariably I’m asked: ‘So how was rehab?’. Can I make something clear? I dabbled. Dabbled. I wasn’t an addict. I was young, I hold my hand up. I shouldn’t have done it. I regret it."

TAYLOR MOMSEN has finally arrived in Holland as she battles to escape snowbound Europe - after a gruelling road trip from Germany.
The singer/actress performed the final gig of her tour with The Pretty Reckless in Cologne, Germany on Friday (17Dec10) and was due to jet back to the U.S. on Saturday (18Dec10) to spend Christmas with her family.
But her flight was cancelled as heavy blizzards closed airports across Europe - so the Gossip Girl star vowed to drive to Amsterdam, Holland where the city’s Schiphol Airport is still open for business.
The distance between the two cities is just 132 miles - but it’s believed to have taken Momsen up to 14 hours to drive along snow-covered highways to her Dutch destination.
Taking to her Twitter.com blog on Sunday (19Dec10), she wrote, "If we drive to amsterdam tomorrow we’re due to arrive around 4:20pm… as long as the snow doesn’t delay us… oh, yup." By 10.30am on Monday (20Dec10), Momsen was en route to Holland and asking for travel advice from her fans: "Who out there is from Amsterdam… how are the roads?" But it wasn’t until the following morning (21Dec10) that Momsen confirmed her arrival, tweeting: "Amsterdam… found a place where they’ll play any rock dvd you want, I picked NIN (Nine Inch Nails)."

KINGS OF LEON have axed their final gig of the year after a fire broke out on one of their tour buses outside the venue in London.
The band was slated to perform at the O2 Arena on Tuesday (21Dec10) but the concert was cancelled just hours before showtime after a blaze on buses parked at the famed dome building.
More than 60 firefighters were called to tackle the flames and six people were treated for smoke inhalation.
A message posted on the O2 Arena’s website reads, "Due to a fire onboard a tour bus parked onsite this morning, the London Fire Brigade were called and the venue immediately evacuated… Unfortunately, due to this morning’s fire on board one of the tour buses at The O2, tonight’s Kings of Leon concert will now be postponed.
"Whilst there is no damage to The O2 there is now insufficient time to rig the arena for tonight’s performance. We are sorry for the inconvenience and we will announce a new date shortly." The concert was the band’s last scheduled gig of the year (10).

Rocker BRET MICHAELS is engaged to marry his longtime girlfriend after 16 years of dating.
The Poison star, 47, proposed to Kristi Gibson, 39, during the final episode of his reality TV show Bret Michaels: Life as I Know It, which aired in America on Monday night (20Dec10).
Michaels said, "I want you to know that I love you, and you’ve been unbelievably a big part of my life and we have two beautiful girls together. I know we love and respect each other and I hope we can find that inner love that we can have forever. I want you to be my wife." He then jokingly added, "Please say yes or the rejection will kill me right now." Gibson grinned and accepted his proposal as he slid a ring on her finger. She later added, "I thought this day would never come and he doesn’t realise how happy he’s just made me." The couple has been together since the 1990s and they are parents to two daughters.
The happy news means Michaels ends 2010 on a high after a tumultuous year which saw him suffer a number of health setbacks including an appendectomy, a brain haemorrhage and a mild stroke. He will go under the knife in January (11) for an operation to repair a hole in his heart.

Actor SAM ROCKWELL doubts he will ever settle down and get married, even though he is in a happy, long-term relationship.
The Moon star has been dating actress Leslie Bibb since 2007 after they met while he was filming Frost/Nixon in Los Angeles, and they later appeared together onscreen in Iron Man 2.
But even though he is enjoying the romance, Rockwell has no plans to exchange vows with his partner.
He tells the New York Post, "I’ve never been married. I have a steady girlfriend I’m going with (for) three years. Will I get married? Who knows? Probably not."

Beloved TV veteran BETTY WHITE has spoken of her joy after she was named Entertainer Of The Year, beating the cast of hit show GLEE to the title.

DAVID SCHWIMMER is refusing to alter his controversial new film TRUST even if he loses his fight to secure the movie a lower age rating, insisting regulators need to update their "old" system.
The Friends star steps behind the camera to direct Clive Owen and Catherine Keener in the harrowing film about a teenager lured to a motel for sex by an online predator old enough to be her father.
The swearing and adult themes landed the movie a restrictive R-rating in America, meaning viewers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Schwimmer and his team are fighting for a lower age rating to make the movie more accessible, and he is adamant he won’t be pressured into making any changes.
He tells Deadline.com, "There is no nudity, no overt sexuality other than what needed to be implied for a scene in the hotel room where we learn that a rape took place. I think the scene was tastefully handled. The idea that Clive’s character should respond by shouting ‘Fiddlesticks’ is just not real. Let’s face it, kids have heard and seen it all." And the actor/director insists he’s frustrated by the way the industry is regulated, adding: "What I find frustrating is there are plenty of films that get PG-13 that are so violent. There is a double standard. You can’t show nudity or hear the F-word, but you can show people being blown to bits and chopped up. Maybe a public forum will show that the ratings system needs to be updated to reflect the times. It is quite old." Trust hits theaters in the U.S. on 1 April (11).

COLIN FIRTH’s royal drama THE KING’S SPEECH is continuing to dominate the awards season after scoring a massive seven nominations from the London Critics’ Circle.
The new movie, which sees the British actor portray stuttering monarch King George VI, has already scored numerous nods for upcoming Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards and is now leading nominations back in Britain.
The King’s Speech will compete for a number of the London Critics’ Circle’s top honours including Film Of The Year, British Film Of The Year, British Director Of The Year for Tom Hooper and Actor Of The Year for Firth.
Helena Bonham Carter also received a Best British Actress nod for her role in the film, as well as a British Actress in a Supporting Role nomination for Alice In Wonderland.
Mike Leigh’s film Another Year also garnered seven nominations and will go head-to-head with The King’s Speech in a number of categories, while The Social Network trailed with five.

Britain’s royal family is celebrating another imminent wedding - QUEEN ELIZABETH II’s granddaughter ZARA PHILLIPS is engaged to her rugby star boyfriend MIKE TINDALL.
The couple, dating since 2003, announced on Tuesday (12Dec10) that Tindall proposed at their home in south west England on Monday night (20Dec10).
Phillips, daughter of Anne, Princess Royal and Captain Mark Phillips, accepted immediately - and the British monarch and her husband the Duke of Edinburgh are "delighted" by the wedding news.
A statement from Buckingham Palace reads, "The Princess Royal and Captain Mark Phillips are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Zara Phillips to Mr Mike Tindall, son of Mr Phillip and Mrs Linda Tindall." The news comes a month after Prince William announced he will wed Kate Middleton in London on 29 April next year (11).
