Singer BRIAN MCFADDEN is in agony after undergoing tooth surgery - and he gave fans a running commentary from the dentist’s chair in a series of posts on Twitter.com.
The former Westlife star headed to a clinic in Australia, where he is currently based with fiancee Delta Goodrem, on Tuesday (21Dec10) for work on a damaged molar.
The dentist informed McFadden he needed immediate root canal treatment - and the shocked singer shared intimate details of the procedure in a series of posts and gruesome photographs on the microblogging website.
He wrote, "Is sitting in the dentist chair (sic). Torture time!… Dentist is going straight ahead with a root canal! Aaaaaaaaaah s**t!.. Ouch." And he later told fans of his pain as he recovers from the surgery, adding: "Supposed to take pain killers after my root canal but the pharmacy was shut. Lying in bed with the side of my face pounding like a bass amp."

TAYLOR MOMSEN’s mission to get home for Christmas has hit another snag - after driving from Germany to Holland in a bid to escape the travel chaos, she’s now struggling to catch a flight back to New York.
The singer/actress, on tour with her band The Pretty Reckless, was stranded in Cologne after heavy snow closed airports across Europe, so she drove 132 miles (212 kilometres) along icy roads to Amsterdam on Monday (20Dec10).
She enjoyed a day out in the Dutch city on Tuesday (21Dec10), but when she headed to Schiphol Airport to board a flight home on Wednesday (22Dec10), the Gossip Girl star was hit by more delays.
And she now fears she will have to spend Christmas away from her friends and family in the U.S.
In a post on her Twitter.com blog, Momsen writes, "Gettin ready to go home, I’m tired… Ok, more airline problems… this is getting ridiculous… just trying to get back for xmas!"

DEVILDRIVER bassist JON MILLER has scheduled a rehab stint to address his decade-long addiction to drugs and alcohol.
The musician admits he has been forced to confront his problems after a serious health scare this month (Dec10), which left him in an intensive care unit (ICU) in hospital.
He will check into a clinic after the holidays and miss the band’s upcoming tours of Canada and Australia while he receives treatment.
Miller says in a statement, "To all DevilDriver fans and friends, I wanted to give you an update on my status as far as my health is concerned… I have been touring with DevilDriver for almost the past 10 years and the drugs and alcohol have finally caught up with me. I realised this when I ended up in the ICU on my birthday last week.
"I need to make a change so that I can save my own life and keep the friends that I still have left… I can feel the damage catching up with me mentally and physically. I don’t want to burn out prematurely before my time on this Earth is up.
"On January 1st I will be entering an intense rehabilitation program in order for me to reclaim my health and the person who I once was. I will not be doing the Canadian tour in January or the Australian tour in February and March. This is for my own good."

Actress CHLOE SEVIGNY has pledged to stop flashing her flesh in movies - because she’s been a part of too many "explicit sex scenes".
The Boys Don’t Cry star, who once performed oral sex on then-boyfriend Vincent Gallo in the movie The Brown Bunny, insists she’s no longer interested in stripping for provocative movies and has signed a no-nudity clause in an effort to keep her clothes on in the future.
She says, "I’m more self-aware now and wouldn’t be able to be as free, so why even do it (bare all)?" And she has already clashed with directors on the set of her hit TV drama Big Love.
Sevigny explains, "The first season, my character was aggressive in bed, but that changed by the second and third seasons, and there was no sex on season four… This season, aside from some stuff with the teen characters, sex is still on the back burner.
"And although I have done nudity on the show, the other girls won’t do topless. I don’t want to be the show’s Samantha, like on Sex & The City - the only woman who’ll do nudity.
"So I refused to do any more and there was a lot of back-and-forth about it."

Actor JAMIE CAMPBELL BOWER is celebrating his return to Britain after spending three days stranded in America waiting for a flight home because of heavy snow in the U.S. and Europe.
The star headed to the airport in New Orleans, Louisiana on Sunday (19Dec10) but found himself stuck after his flight was cancelled.
He was still waiting for a plane out of the city on Monday (20Dec10), telling his Twitter.com followers, "I will do anything to get home. Any pilots, airlines, captains of fast boats. Please. It’s Christmas. My heart can’t take anymore let downs." Campbell Bower was finally allocated a ticket to fly on Tuesday (21Dec10) and he landed in London on Wednesday (22Dec10).
Updating his online fans about his progress, the actor writes, "Only gone and b**ody landed! Hope all others stuck are safe."

ANNE HATHAWAY and her boyfriend ADAM SHULMAN have stepped up their romance by moving in together, according to U.S. reports.
The Devil Wears Prada star has been dating the actor since 2008, finding love again just months after her split from businessman Raffaello Follieri, who was jailed on money laundering charges.
She is now said to have moved into Shulman’s home in Brooklyn, New York, according to Life & Style magazine.
A source tells the publication, "She’s moved into his Brooklyn pad. They’ve been together for a long time, so she’s confident about moving in with him."

Executives at GEORGE LUCAS’ Lucasfilm company have settled a legal dispute with America’s Department of Justice over allegations the firm engaged in "anti-competitive" business practices.
Bosses at the government body filed a complaint against the movie mogul’s company, claiming Lucasfilm chiefs had set up agreements with animation giant Pixar which made it difficult for workers to change jobs between the two firms.
The legal filing alleged executives at Lucasfilm and Pixar agreed not to headhunt each other’s employees, to notify each other when offering a worker a job, and not to counter-offer when an offer was made, according to Variety.
Assistant Attorney General Christine Varney said of the case, "The agreement between Lucasfilm and Pixar restrained competition for digital animators without any pro-competitive justification and distorted the competitive process." Lucasfilm executives have now settled the legal action by agreeing to meet the Department of Justice’s list of demands, which prohibit the companies from "entering, maintaining or enforcing any agreement that prevents any person from soliciting, cold-calling, recruiting or competing for employees." Pixar bosses were not named in the suit after previously agreeing to amend working practices.

Actress ALI LARTER is a first-time mother after giving birth to a baby boy on Monday (20Dec10).
The Heroes star and her husband, writer/actor Hayes MacArthur, welcomed a son called Theodore Hayes MacArthur in Los Angeles.
MacArthur’s father Bruce first confirmed the happy news to the Chicago Sun-Times, saying, "I can’t wait to see him and say, ‘Hey, baby! What’s happening?’" The couple later released a statement to Us Weekly, calling their new baby a "perfect Christmas present".
Larter married MacArthur in Maine in August last year (09).

PARIS HILTON has arrived safely in Hawaii after she was ordered to evacuate her plane in Los Angeles when a knife was found onboard in a "strange" incident.
The hotel heiress and her boyfriend Cy Waits were due to take off from Los Angeles’ LAX airport for Maui, Hawaii on Tuesday (21Dec10).
All passengers were ordered to disembark from the plane after the discovery was brought to the attention of a flight attendant, who then called security. The passengers were allowed back onboard after officials subsequently determined the knife belonged to a member of the airline crew.
Hilton and Waits landed in Maui safely - but the socialite admits she was left shaken by the incident.
In a series of posts on her Twitter.com page, she writes, "We were about to take off then security made everyone deplane because they found a big knife on board the plane. Scary that it got on plane… So strange a knife got on board." After arriving at their holiday destination, the star added, "Just landed safely in Maui. Aloha! Hawaii is one of the most beautiful places on earth! So happy to be here!"

Lawyers representing MICHAEL JACKSON’s doctor CONRAD MURRAY have won an extra court hearing to ask for medical items found in the late star’s bedroom to undergo vigorous testing as they battle to clear the physician’s name.
The medic has pleaded not guilty to a charge of involuntary manslaughter following the singer’s tragic death last year (09) and he is expected to go on trial in 2011.
A coroner ruled Jackson died of cardiac arrest brought on by an overdose of anaesthetic Propofol, and Murray’s lawyers want two syringes and an IV bag, found at the star’s Californian home, to be tested to determine the amount of drugs they contained.
Defence attorney, J. Michael Flanagan, argued in legal papers filed in a California court last Friday (17Dec10), "An essential fact in this case is not only how much Propofol was in Michael Jackson’s body but how it was put into his body." A judge has now granted the request for an extra hearing to decide whether the items should be sent back to the laboratory, according to the Associated Press.
Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor will hear the arguments on 29 December (10), just days before Murray is due in court for a preliminary hearing on 4 January (11) to determine whether he will stand trial.

A performance by BOB DYLAN at an upcoming music festival in Australia is under threat following a dispute between organisers and local council officials.
The music legend has been booked to appear at the Byron Bay Bluesfest in April (10) alongside other acts including B.B. King, Grace Jones and John Legend.
Organisers of the event want to extend the festival by an extra day to take advantage of a public holiday, which would mean Dylan playing an extra show, but officials at Byron Shire Council have failed to approve the move and have declared they won’t make a decision on the matter until February (11).
Festival director Peter Noble claims the decision can’t wait that long because of Dylan’s hectic touring schedule and he now plans to take legal action against the council by lodging a formal complaint in the local Land and Environment Court.
He says, "We had advised both the head of planning (at the council) and the mayor that there were strict timelines involved in this situation to complete negotiations with Bob Dylan’s representatives and put the event on sale as soon as possible… Basically, it’s a bushwhack… This is supposed to be the home of counter culture and Bob Dylan is the king of counter culture. It’s not a good look for Byron."

CHRIS MARTIN snubbed an aftershow party following a COLDPLAY charity gig on Monday night (20Dec10), instead choosing to dine with a group of homeless singers.
The band played a show at the Royal Court Theatre in Liverpool, England to raise awareness of men and women living on the streets in Britain.
They performed with a choir made up of the homeless - and Martin chose to eat with them after the concert rather than attend the official aftershow meal.
A source tells Britain’s Daily Star, "Chris had a load of homeless people singing in a choir for his gig and he thought they were so amazing he wanted to hang out with them after.
"He went backstage, snubbed his celeb dinner and ordered 12 giant pizzas and 25 bags of chips for them all to eat. His security were desperately trying to get him to leave and go back to his dressing room, but he was having none of it."

LINDSAY LOHAN’s lawyer has confirmed the actress called police from rehab on the night she is alleged to have lashed out at a member of staff.
Cops in California have launched an investigation into claims Lohan was involved in an altercation with an employee at the Betty Ford clinic last week (12Dec10). Lohan, who is currently serving out three months of court-ordered treatment, was subsequently moved to another facility and the staff member, Dawn Holland, has been dismissed for talking to the media about the incident.
Holland alleges Lohan was in a "very angry" state when she was caught sneaking back in to the clinic after her curfew, and also claims the star had been drinking. Cops attended the scene after a 911 call was placed, and although no arrests were made, police officials in Palm Desert, California have confirmed they are investigating the case, according to EW.com.
Lohan’s attorney Shawn Chapman Holley has revealed it was the actress herself who called in authorities, saying in a statement, "At this time, we are declining to comment on the underlying facts surrounding this incident, as we await the completion of the police investigation. It should be noted, however, that it was Ms. Lohan who called 911 to request police assistance at the time this incident occurred."

SANDRA BULLOCK’s representative has dismissed reports the actress has been enjoying "date nights" with RYAN REYNOLDS following his split from SCARLETT JOHANSSON, insisting THE PROPOSAL co-stars are "nothing except friends".

LINDSAY LOHAN’s father is adamant the actress is not to blame for an alleged altercation with a member of staff at a rehab clinic, claiming the employee "had it in for Lindsay" and snapped when the star was 10 minutes late after a trip to a hair salon.
Police in Palm Desert, California have launched an investigation after a worker at the Betty Ford clinic claimed to have been hurt in a dispute with Lohan on 12 December (10).
Dawn Holland, who has been dismissed from Betty Ford for talking to the media about the incident, alleges Lohan was caught sneaking back in to the clinic after her curfew, and also claims the star had been drinking.
A 911 call was placed from the centre at 1.03am on 12 December (10) and Lohan’s lawyer claims the actress called in police herself.
Lohan’s father Michael is adamant his daughter should not be blamed for the incident, insisting she was merely 10 minutes late on her return from a hair appointment.
He tells E! Online, "She (Holland) had it in for Lindsay the whole time. As soon as Lindsay walked in the door the woman grabbed Lindsay by the arm, and not the other two girls (she was with), and said, ‘You are going to take a urine test’. Lindsay just brushed her off. That is what she told me: ‘Dad, I just brushed her off.’ It all boils down to that they were 10 minutes late. Lindsay had three weeks left and this woman was in Lindsay’s face, constantly complaining." Lohan’s mother, Dina, has also spoken out about her daughter’s troubles, telling the New York Post, "There’s a mole in the place. Someone in there’s trying to hurt her before she gets out."

Singer/actor DARREN CRISS is getting into the Christmas spirit by using the proceeds from his weekend (18-19Dec10) Los Angeles shows to purchase toys for a children’s charity.
The Glee newcomer performed back-to-back sold-out gigs at The Roxy in West Hollywood on Saturday (18Dec10) in front of a star-studded audience including actors Matthew Morrison and Max Adler.
Concert-goers helped fill 15 large bags with gifts for the Toys for Tots organisation in return for a signed photo of Criss.
The 23 year old continued his charity drive by vowing to donate a portion of the ticket sales to purchase more toys for the initiative, according to JustJared.com.
