RADIOHEAD’s third album OK COMPUTER has been hailed as the greatest record of the last 25 years.
The 1997 release - which features iconic hits Paranoid Android and Karma Police - saw off competition from Oasis and Nirvana to be named the best album by readers of Q magazine.
Nirvana came second with Nevermind, while the Gallagher brothers’ now defunct band took the third and fourth spots with (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? and Definitely Maybe respectively.
Arctic Monkeys’ hit Whatever People Say I Am That’s What I’m Not was voted in at number five, while The Joshua Tree by U2 made number six.
The top 10 was rounded out by The Stone Roses’ eponymous album, The Bends by Radiohead, U2’s Achtung Baby and Muse’s Black Holes And Revelations.

RICKY MARTIN is considering expanding his family - he wants to take the "next step" and adopt a tot.
The Livin’ La Vida Loca hitmaker welcomed twin boys, Matteo and Valentino, via a surrogate mother in 2008.
He hit headlines again earlier this year (10) by finally revealing he is gay, and the star has revealed he wants to add to his brood by adopting another child.
He tells U.S. TV show Extras, "Even though I started with surrogacy, adoption is probably my next step… Adoption is beautiful. Give it a try!" And he only has one wish for 2011: "I just want my children to be happy. I want my children to be healthy."

KATY PERRY and her reformed drug addict husband RUSSELL BRAND want to use their fame and fortune for good - they plan to set up a foundation to help the poor and needy.
Brand turned his life around from being a heroin addict to become a top comic in the U.K. before launching a movie career in the U.S.
His new pop star wife Perry continues to be amazed by his story and reveals they both want to help others struggling in life by creating their own charity.
She tells Britain’s Grazia magazine, "He’s so intelligent. So full of wonderful plans. If you really want to know what made me fall in love with him was how amazing he was with people, particularly with children.
"Russell has changed his life and wants to help other people change theirs. For all his naughtiness on the surface, underneath he’s truly good. My parents adore him. People laugh when I say Russell is a man of God but I’m just waiting for them to see what he does. We have this plan to set up a foundation to help people, feed them, clothe them, give shelter. We don’t want to use our fame just to sit on our money on a mountain, we want to do something with it."

HAPPY MONDAYS star BEZ has been left bloodied and bruised following a shockingly violent fight with a fellow musician.
Bez - real name Mark Berry - became embroiled in a spat earlier this week (begs20Dec10) with Space Monkeys bassist Dom Morrison, who is said to be dating his ex-girlfriend Monica Ward.
The brawl in Manchester, England was captured on camera and the pictures published by Britain’s The Sun.
In the snaps, Berry can be seen in an office throwing punches at Morrison, who loses his t-shirt in the scrap, and in one shocking image, Berry can be seen with a bloodied eye and mouth.
The fight was reportedly stopped when an organised referee stepped in and separated the pair.
A source tells the newspaper, "The fight’s been the talk of Manchester for weeks. Two local brothers… were involved in putting Bez and Dom in the same room to sort out their problems.
"It was really bitter and they only wanted to sort it out one way - with an old-fashioned straightener (fight).
"They went at it like animals with a lot of blood and sweat. Bez looked cut up but gave as good as he got. It was a draw in the end and they both managed to walk away.
"Bez is having a horrible time right now. He’s struggling to keep on top of things." Last month (Nov10), cops hunted for the percussionist after he failed to answer bail following allegations he harassed former partner Ward.
He was subsequently arrested and fined $210 (£140) after admitting to sending Ward numerous text messages, which broke the terms of a restraining order.

Rapper NELLY has confirmed his romance with ASHANTI has ended, insisting he was too busy to concentrate on the starry relationship.
The pair split last year (09) but sparked reconciliation speculation after they were spotted together over the summer (10). Rumours intensified when the singer joined Nelly at private listening session for his new album 5.0. in October (10).
But the Hot In Herre star insists he’s now just close pals with Ashanti.
Nelly tells Rap-Up.com, "I’m married to my work… I’m not a person that wants to get married more than once. You see what I’m saying? If I’ma do it, I’ma do it and that’s it (sic). You’re dying if you leave me.
"I’m married to getting things in a certain situation right now and she’s married to getting things in a certain situation. So again, man, we enjoy each other’s company and love it."

Actresses DENISE RICHARDS and LISA RINNA have Twitter.com to thank for their new friendship - the social networking site brought them together.
The two stars knew each other through mutual friends but they didn’t realise they had so much in common until they started tweeting each other earlier this year (10).
And now, the two ladies have formed a "supper club" where their celebrity Twitter pals can meet face to face.
Rinna says, "This mums supper club that we do, it was all off of Twitter." Richards adds, "Each one of us hosts the actual dinner and we all bring a dish - it’s like pot luck… It’s very elaborate, we have fun and everything that’s said in the room stays in that house… It’s a nice group of very supportive women… I love it."

British funnywoman DAWN FRENCH is planning a family festive season despite her recent divorce from LENNY HENRY - the former couple is set to spend Christmas together.
The Harry Potter star separated from the comic in late 2009 and their divorce was finalised in October (10) on the grounds of Henry’s "unreasonable behaviour".
French has revealed they are still pals and even enjoyed a holiday together over the summer (10) - and they will be teaming up again over the holidays for the sake of their daughter Billie.

OPRAH WINFREY was once offered the chance to become a U.S. ambassador by former Secretary of State COLIN POWELL.
The politician and statesman was dining with the talk show queen at a party in Washington, D.C. five years ago (05) when he turned to Winfrey and asked her to consider a high office within the George W. Bush administration.

Former boxer ‘IRISH’ MICKY WARD is refusing to watch MARK WAHLBERG’s new movie about his tough life with his family - because he fears they’ll struggle with the way they’re portrayed in the film.
Wahlberg plays the tough guy in gritty movie The Fighter and while Ward himself is delighted with the film, he’s not sure his former crack addict brother and trainer, played by Christian Bale, and mother will be.
He says, "I’m sure it’s hard for Dicky (brother) to look at it and see the way he was… I don’t know how my sister and mother are going to feel, either. I’m not sitting next to them when they see it."

ANNIE LENNOX is determined to get back to the gym in 2011 after surgery on her spine in 2008 left her with a limp and a lack of physical confidence.
The Love is a Stranger singer has battled back from the pain of nerve damage, but admits it has been a struggle at times - and she did fear she’d never have the courage to exercise in public again.
She tells Woman & Home magazine, "My left leg was almost paralysed because of a condition called drop foot. I thought I was going to lose my foot. I absolutely didn’t want to be disabled but it was a very real possibility. I had physio (therapy) but spent a long time limping.
"Slowly, the range of movements are coming back. I’ve never liked exercise, but I’ll get there."

Opera singer KATHERINE JENKINS is eyeing a big screen role after falling in love with acting while filming sci-fi series DOCTOR WHO.
The Welsh star landed a part in the cult U.K. TV show’s Christmas special this year (10) and now she has her sights set on a musical movie to extend her experience in front of the cameras.
And she admits her new-found passion for acting has come from her experience on the Doctor Who set.
She says, "I’ve not had any training and I’ve not had any experience of that sort of thing and this is my first ever thing like this, but I suppose now I’ve done this and I really enjoyed myself… Everyone in the whole Doctor Who team was brilliant and so supportive… so by the end I’d had a ball.
"I think maybe that has now opened my mind to thinking ‘Okay, well if the right thing came along maybe I would do it again…’ I’d like to do a musical film, something like that… I don’t know what sort of thing but something that would involve singing."

MOTLEY CRUE star NIKKI SIXX has turned Santa for young cancer patients in North Carolina after stepping in to replace videogame systems stolen from a hospice.
Five consoles and equipment, used by kids undergoing life-saving cancer treatment, were taken from the Carolinas Medical Center on 4 December (10) and when the bassist-turned-radio presenter heard the news, he offered to help.
Sixx reached out to Sony, Disney, Activision and Nintendo and asked bosses to donate replacements.
A 45-year-old man has been arrested and charged with stealing the items.

JOSH FARRO has broken his silence following his split with rockers PARAMORE, revealing he and brother ZAC decided to quit the band because they were sick of singer HAYLEY WILLIAMS landing all the limelight for their success.
The Farro brothers, who founded the group with Williams and bassist Jeremy Davis in 2004, announced their show in Orlando, Florida on 12 December (10) was their last on Saturday (18Dec10).
Williams insisted she was not shocked by their departure, stating, "It hasn’t seemed as if they wanted to be around anymore." And Josh Farro has now come clean about why the siblings hated being involved in the band, claiming Williams was the only one the heads of the band’s record label cared about.
In a blog post, he writes, "We’ve always been treated as less important than Hayley… We toured for two and a half years building our fanbase, pretending to be a band that started naturally.
"In reality, what started as natural somehow morphed into a manufactured product of a major label, riding on the coattails of ‘Hayley’s dream.’" And Farro insists the changes that were made to the group’s latest album was the last straw for him and his brother.
He adds, "We fought her about how her lyrics misrepresented our band and what we stood for, but, in the end, she got her way. Instead of fighting her any longer, we decided to just roll over and let it go.
"Hayley claimed that this record reunited us as (a) band and made us grow closer together, when in reality, we were all growing further apart."
