LOHAN COMEDY MOVIE IN THE WORKS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:19 pm

The life of troubled actress LINDSAY LOHAN has inspired the plot of a new comedy movie starring JOAN COLLINS and LYDIA HEARST.
Dogs in Pocketbooks is based on the Mean Girls star’s colourful past, which has seen her in and out of jail and rehab over the last few years.
Socialite-turned-actress Hearst will take on the lead role of a young star making her way in Hollywood, while Collins will play a high-powered agent in the picture, which begins filming in February (11).
Collins tells New York Post gossip column Page Six, "The script is a hoot - a satire on the crazed hysteria surrounding showbiz celebrities. I’m playing an aggressive, sexy, powerful woman. For a change." Screenwriter Charles Casillo adds, "Lydia will play a bratty movie goddess in and out of rehab, in trouble with the law, and hounded by greedy agents, predatory paparazzi, off-the-wall stalkers and crazed media - a role obviously based on Lindsay Lohan. I spent a lot of time casting for the right actress for this screwball comedy, but Lydia is perfect… We looked at a lot of actresses for this role, and I was really knocked out.
"(The movie) is in no way mean-spirited towards Lindsay. It’s the kind of thing she has spoofed about herself in the past. It’s more of a satire about the crazy people around her and the situations they generate. It satirises the obsession with modern celebrity."

There are four of us in the band and nobody has any plans to go out alone." Bandmate Kian Egan adds, "We won’t be doing this when we’re 60 years old but for now we’re happy in all areas of our career in Westlife."

SEVIGNY HATES ‘IT’ GIRLS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:16 pm

Edgy actress CHLOE SEVIGNY has taken aim at PEACHES GELDOF and the other modern ‘It’ girls - because they’re nothing like the iconic socialites of the past.
The Boys Don’t Cry star insists the term ‘It’ girl is used "too loosely" and discredits the likes of actress Clara Bow.
Sevigny rages, "Today the term is used to describe, say, Peaches Geldof - a girl who doesn’t do anything but is just sort of around.
"The original It girl was the 1920s movie star Clara Bow; then in the 1960s, with Edie Sedgwick and (Andy) Warhol, It girls turned into socialites, ladies of leisure, people who had it just for being fabulous. But Edie was just a rich drug addict, and when I got called the It girl everyone thought I was that too… I felt I was doing stuff, not just being a socialite."
