KYLIE MINOGUE has defended her controversial ALL THE LOVERS video after the promo was banned in several Asian countries.
Censors throughout Asia complained that scenes featuring the Aussie singer dressed in white at the top of a pyramid of scantily-clad young gay and straight couples all kissing passionately were too hot for her young fans.
The film has been censored in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia, among others, because it was deemed too racy - but Minogue is firing back after the ruling, insisting the video is "touching and sensual".
She says, "I think yes it’s sexy but I also think its very touching and sensual and the message is love."

BLACK EYED PEAS star WILL.I.AM has kept his promise to record a duet with a contestant from SIMON COWELL’s THE X FACTOR - and he’s branded the track a "mega smasher".
The rapper helped his pal Cheryl Cole decide which acts she should take through to the TV contest’s live rounds and he recommended the Girls Aloud star should mentor 17-year-old Cher Lloyd - and even sang with her during the final earlier this month (Dec10).
Lloyd finished fourth in the series, but she’s still headed to the recording studio with will.i.am - and the rapper is delighted with their material.

GIRLS ALOUD star NADINE COYLE will be "haunted forever" by the face of an orphan she dreamed of adopting - because she’ll always "regret" allowing red tape to stop her from taking in the youngster.
The singer visited Thailand shortly after a tsunami struck on Boxing Day (26Dec) in 2004 and she met four-year-old Lui, whose parents died in the disaster.
Coyle hoped to adopt the boy, but she dropped the plans when the paperwork proved "too complex" - and the star is haunted by her decision.
She tells Britain’s The Sun, "He wouldn’t let go of me the whole week I was there. Even though I really wanted to rescue him and keep him safe it was just too complex to adopt him. I spoke to my family about it and my mum and dad said they were going to help me out.
"I’m going to be haunted forever by little Lui’s face. It just seems really, really stupid now that I let a load of complications stop it happening.
"It was literally a matter of life and death for him to find a new home. Now every Boxing Day when I’m sitting around with my family, I can’t help thinking about what’s happened to him. I wish I could track him down. It will always be the biggest regret of my life that I didn’t take him in."

STEPHEN DORFF is convinced his late mother is smiling down on his new movie SOMEWHERE - because she always wanted the BACKBEAT star to play a moody, vulnerable character on the big screen.
Dorff’s mother was tremendously proud of her son’s career but she didn’t care for his bad boy roles.
The movie star believes the lead role in Sofia Coppola’s new movie was a gift from his mum - because she would have enjoyed his portrayal of an actor living with his daughter at Hollywood’s fabled Chateau Marmont hotel.
He says, "I felt my mom through this role. My mom would always say, ‘You got to be more like Steve McQueen and play tough, flawed characters because that’s a part of you, but you have a weakness and a vulnerability.’ "She kept saying, ‘I don’t want to run out of the screenings anymore because you scare me in those movies!’ After she died I made a deal with my agent, saying ‘I want to get back to the filmmakers. I don’t just want to make money and do genre movies.’" And Dorff will always be grateful to Coppola for giving him the chance to show off his vulnerable side.
He tells WENN, "After Public Enemies I probably would’ve stopped acting for a long time. I lost someone who meant a lot to me so I wasn’t reading scripts and was in a really dark place. Then out of nowhere Sofia was like this butterfly who just dropped into my world and changed my life."

MICKEY ROURKE dotes on his one remaining pet dog - even though the pooch attacked the actor when they first met.
The Wrestler star has long loved Chihuahuas and regularly takes in new mutts from a rescue centre.
He was once the proud owner of seven of the dogs, but he reveals to British TV host Alan Carr: "I’m down to one." And Rourke admits he almost didn’t end up with little Jaws, after the pooch bit him during their first meeting at a shelter: "(The owner) said, ‘Oh no, you don’t want that one… we’re putting him to sleep.’ He’s growling and spitting and I say, ‘It’s ok, it’s ok’.
"I went to give him a kiss and he bit me here (above lip). I got two stitches. They think I’m going to sue them… I’m a little embarrassed cos the dog was (small) but it really hurt a lot. About a half hour later I said, ‘I’ll take him’.
"I’ve had him for five years now. I can pick him up - it took me six months to be able to pick him up. He’s not the friendliest thing on the planet."

A U.S. reality TV star has been arrested for beating up the father of her two-year-old daughter.
Teen Mom star Amber Portwood was charged with two felony counts of domestic battery, one felony count of neglect of a dependent and one misdemeanour count of domestic battery in Madison County, Indiana on Monday (27Dec10) after a series of alleged attacks on Gary Shirley.
The 20 year old was booked at the jail and placed on a 24-hour hold, according to UsMagazine.com. Portwood is expected to be released on Tuesday (28Dec10).

SIR ELTON JOHN and DAVID FURNISH became first-time fathers on Christmas Day (25Dec10) after welcoming a baby boy via a surrogate.
The couple announced the birth of little Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John late on Monday (27Dec10).
In a joint statement to UsMagazine.com, the pair gushed, "Zachary is healthy and doing really well, and we are very proud and happy parents.
"We are overwhelmed with happiness and joy at this very special moment." A representative for the couple has stated that Sir Elton and his partner intend to protect the privacy of their surrogate, but revealed the tot - who weighed seven pounds, 15 ounces (3.59 kilograms) at birth - was born in California.
The pair was denied the chance to adopt a 14-month-old HIV-positive child from the Ukraine in September 2009 because the pop star was deemed too old and was declared single by local officials.
Sir Elton fell in love with little Lev during a tour of an orphanage, but the Ukraine’s Family, Youth and Sports Minister Yuriy Pavlenko ruled adoption was out of the question for the rocker, who, at 62, was almost 20 years older than the country’s age limit for becoming a parent to an orphan.
Pavlenko also refused to acknowledge Sir Elton and Furnish’s legal civil union in Britain, and declared the Rocket Man was unmarried and, as such, could not adopt a Ukranian child.

NICOLE KIDMAN has had to toughen up as global women’s organisation UNIFem’s goodwill ambassador - so she can sit and listen to rape victims’ stories without sobbing.
The Aussie actress admits she was overcome with emotion when she took her first overseas assignment with the United Nations offshoot group in Kosovo, and she had to be taken aside by aid workers and told to stop crying.
The Oscar winner recalls, "I’m a terrible person sometimes for this because I can become so emotionally involved.
"In Kosovo, I had to be taken aside and told, ‘This is gonna be a very emotional path for the rest of your life. You’re gonna see and hear things you should never see or hear.’" Kidman tells CNN the victims themselves have given her the strength to cope with the terrible stories she hears while visiting shelters.
She adds, "They have such courage… They have big dreams. I wanna help… (but) I certainly feel and it brings me to my knees."

OPRAH WINFREY and pal TYLER PERRY have stormed to the top of Forbes magazine’s end-of-year rich list.
Oprah takes the top spot on the newly-released Hollywood’s 20 Highest-Earning of 2010 with an estimated $315 million (£210 million) windfall, while filmmaker Perry comes in third with $125 million (£83.3 million).
The success of Avatar puts pioneering director James Cameron in second place with an estimated $210 million (£140 million) 2010 haul, while his peers Steven Spielberg, Jerry Bruckheimer, George Lucas and Michael Bay also make the top 10.
The highest musician on the list is Beyonce, who lands ahead of Lady Gaga and Britney Spears on the coveted list at number nine with an $87 million (£58 million) 2010 windfall. Spears came in at 13, while Gaga closely followed at 14.

British singer LILY ALLEN is ending 2010 on a happy note after boyfriend SAM COOPER proposed on Christmas Day (25Dec10), according to a U.K. report.
The Smile hitmaker announced in August (10) she was expecting her first baby with the decorator but the couple was left devastated when Allen lost the baby six months into her pregnancy in October (10).
Allen has rarely been seen in public since the tragedy but now the 25 year old is seeing in the New Year (11) as a bride-to-be after Cooper reportedly proposed while they spent Christmas on holiday in Bali.
A source tells Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper, "It all came out of the blue - but Lily was overwhelmed and they are both overjoyed… Lily was telling everyone that she and Sam had just got engaged (and) they could not keep the smiles off their faces. It couldn’t have been more romantic. The resort is just so peaceful and picturesque." The couple has been dating since the summer of 2009.

HALLE BERRY has convinced bosses at cosmetics firm Revlon to fund renovations at a Los Angeles shelter for domestic abuse victims.
The actress has been a longtime supporter and volunteer at the Jenessee Center and when shelter bosses asked her if she could help them with a costly makeover, she jumped at the chance to be a big part of the facility’s new look.
Revlon bosses agreed to pay for half the $500,000 (£333,300) renovation as a thanks to Berry for being the company’s spokesmodel for the past 15 years, and the Oscar winner insists the help she has been able to give the shelter means more to her than any movie she has starred in.
As part of CNN Christmas TV special Big Stars, Big Giving, Berry gave host Alina Cho a tour of the facility, cooing about the renovation of apartments there for abused women and their children.
She told Cho, "Many times if people can’t see it, they can’t believe it. This is a way for them to see it." And Berry insists she owes it to her once-abused mother to do everything she can for the Jenessee Center and the women and children who seek sanctuary from domestic violence at the facility.
She experienced what many of them are going through when she was growing up.
Berry recalls, "My father one time threw our little dog against the wall and the dog bit his tongue in half. That’s frightening for a child to see that kind of abuse… (but) there wasn’t a Jenessee Center for my mom."

British rockers BLOC PARTY served up a festive treat for fans over Christmas - the quartet ended its 16-month hiatus.
The celebrated band, fronted by Kele Okereke, posted a studio snapshot of the get-together on the band’s Twitter.com page with the accompanying message: "Merry Christmas from the Bloc".

LENNY KRAVITZ has recorded a touching tribute to TEENA MARIE, insisting he "would not be here" if the singer/songwriter had not saved him from "living on the street" when he was a teenager.

Kravitz, 46, has opened up about his bond with Marie, revealing she took him in when he was a teen - and he’s convinced his life would have been very different without the late singer’s care and nurturing.
In a sombre video tribute posted on YouTube.com on Monday (27Dec10), the Fly Away hitmaker says, "I woke up to the tragic news that my longterm friend Teena Marie passed away.
"I just want to say that Teena Marie was a treasure. A genius. Composer, arranger, singer, musician. Unique… underrated by far.
"I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for Teena. She took me in when I was around 16… I was just a musician on the street, I was living from pillar to post. She took me in, she gave me a bedroom, she fed me, she cooked for me, she took care of me. She gave me instruments to play, she took me to all her recording sessions. She took me to concerts. She nurtured me and helped me to become who I am.
"I would not be here (without her). She changed my life not only as an artist but as a person who truly loved me for who I was. Teena… I will always love and respect you. Thank you for being my friend. Thank you Father, for the life of Teena Marie."
