Rapper 50 CENT has found a way to make money after a blizzard on Monday (27Dec10) - he’s shovelling snow from his neighbours’ driveways.
The hip-hop star’s Connecticut home was buried under thick snow after wintry weather hit America’s East Coast but he’s making the most of the adverse conditions, charging $100 (£67) to clear sidewalks in the area.
And 50 Cent proved he’s serious about his new business after posting photos of himself hard at work with a shovel on Twitter.com.
In a series of posts on his page, he writes: "I’m going out to shovel snow and see if I can make me a few extra dollars today. I’m charging more if they want to take pictures.
"I want a hundred dollars per house. I bet anybody I’ll make a grand moving snow today. I want a hundred dollars if your (sic) stuck. Ill get you out."

OPRAH WINFREY advised SARAH FERGUSON to turn down a stint on DANCING WITH THE STARS - urging her to "rehabilitate" herself before appearing on reality TV.
The Duchess of York hit headlines earlier this year (10) after she was caught allegedly offering access to her ex-husband Prince Andrew to an undercover reporter in exchange for payment.
The former royal family member was left shamed by the story, but was so cash-strapped that she considered appearing on various reality shows - until Winfrey persuaded her to focus on recovering from the scandal.
The TV queen then offered the Brit the chance to film Finding Sarah, a six-part documentary following her progress in therapy, as an alternative to an American reality programme.
Winfrey tells Parade.com, "She (Ferguson) started emailing me and at one point asked what did I think of her doing a celebrity chef show.
"I said, ‘That’s not going to help you. How are you going to rehabilitate yourself on a celebrity chef show? You should be working on yourself.’ "We had a real moment of connection, watching the tape of her trying to get £500,000 (for access to Prince Andrew). She said she didn’t want to go into bankruptcy. I said, ‘But when you look at that tape don’t you see a morally bankrupted person? The one thing you were trying to avoid, you already are.’ She said, ‘I never thought of it that way.’ I remember the last thing I said to her when I left that interview: ‘Don’t let me see you on Dancing With The Stars.’"

Actress KIRSTEN DUNST deliberately dresses down when she’s out in public to avoid attracting the attention of the paparazzi.
The Spider-Man star refuses to let her fame ruin simple pleasures such as shopping and eating with pals.
And she’s come up with a way to avoid flashbulbs when she’s out and about, after realising photographers are less inclined to take pictures of her when she is looking dishevelled.
She tells Black Book magazine, "Paparazzi don’t have as much interest in you when you’re not wearing big sunglasses and carrying a $5,000 bag. I have no interest in wearing a tracksuit every day like Madonna does, but I understand why she does it."

British actress/model ELIZABETH HURLEY and actor SIR MICHAEL CAINE have rushed to congratulate SIR ELTON JOHN after he became a first-time father on Christmas day (25Dec10).
The Rocket Man and his partner David Furnish welcomed little Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John via a surrogate mother over the holiday weekend (25-26Dec10).
The couple announced the happy news late on Monday (27Dec10), revealing they are "very proud and happy parents", and their pal Hurley is leading star tributes to the new arrival. KELLY OSBOURNE’s ex-boyfriend LUKE WORRALL has slammed allegations he’s bedded dozens of women since splitting from the reality TV star - insisting the claims are "lies".
The former singer dumped Worrall in July (10) amid allegations of his infidelity, and she admitted the heartbreak hit her hard.
But the split has now turned ugly - Osbourne took to the microblogging site on Monday (27Dec10) to rant about Worrall’s behaviour, alleging he’s slept with hundreds of girls this year (10) and was only ever interested in her money.
And Worrall was left unimpressed with the public rant, commenting on his own page: "Lies on Twitter awesome." The model then made light of the accusations after one of his followers wrote, "If I was your age and in your position I’d be sh**ging my brains out too - good on ya!", by responding: "Lol (laugh out loud)."

MATT DAMON was literally left tongue-tied while preparing for his role in TRUE GRIT - he clamped a rubber band in his mouth to play a character who struggles to speak.
In the Coen brothers’ Western movie, the actor stars as a Texas Ranger who suffers from a speech impediment after he is injured and loses part of his tongue.
And Damon managed to add a lisp to his Texan twang by learning to talk with elastic tied around his tongue.
He says, "To practise for the way you would talk with such an injury, I actually took one of my daughter’s ponytail bands and just wrapped it around my tongue. I’m sure the neighbours heard me and just shook their heads, thinking, ‘This whole Hollywood thing has really got to him.’ "I am a true nincompoop in this movie. It was so much fun."

PEACHES GELDOF has been left unimpressed with a British TV drama based on her father’s campaign to stage 1985 charity supergig LIVE AID, branding it "exhausting" to watch.
The story of how Bob Geldof and promoter Harvey Goldsmith put the massive event together, staged in London and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in just six months was dramatised for a BBC TV movie, When Harvey Met Bob, starring Domhnall Gleeson as the singer and Ian Hart as the promoter. It debuted on Sunday (26Dec10) - and Peaches was watching.
But the socialite/columnist was far from happy with the Christmas TV special - and she has taken aim at Gleeson’s portrayal of her father.
In a series of posts on her Twitter.com page, she writes, "The guy acting as my dad on When Harvey Met Bob on tv right now is beyond terrible. What is that ACCENT?! He’s not a leprechaun! "Just so everyone knows, my dad really isn’t this intense. Ever. Its kind of exhausting watching this. Aside from the awful acting."

Officials at English Heritage turned down the chance to save RINGO STARR’s birthplace from demolition after branding the house an "unremarkable building".
The organisation works to preserve areas of historical significance in Britain, and earlier this month (Dec10) the U.K.’s Minister for Tourism and Heritage, John Penrose, gave protected status to the pedestrian crossing featured on the cover of The Beatles’ Abbey Road album.
The decision was based on advice given to Penrose by bosses at English Heritage - and it has now emerged they also ruled a property in Liverpool, England where the Fab Four’s drummer was born does not "fulfil" the criteria needed to earn a preservation order.
That decision effectively gives the green light to a proposal by officials in Liverpool to demolish the property, at 9 Madryn Street.
According to architecture website BDOnline, the report from English Heritage states, "After examining all the papers on this file and other relevant information and having carefully considered the architectural and historic interest of this case, the criteria for listing are not fulfilled." A spokeswoman for English Heritage tells the website, "The zebra crossing has been listed… as a celebration of The Beatles’ renown, and for its phenomenally strong group value with the Abbey Road recording studios… We did not recommend 9 Madryn Street for listing, however, as it lacks the undeniable Beatles connection of other sites, and is an otherwise unremarkable building historically and architecturally."

TRICK DADDY is the latest star to fall foul of U.S. tax authorities - the rapper allegedly owes more than $157,000 (£105,000) in unpaid bills.
The hip-hop star, real name Maurice Young, has been named in three liens filed by Internal Revenue Service officers this year (10), citing delinquent federal tax debts amounting to $157,054 (£104,702) for income earned as far back as 2002.
And according to the Detroit News, the I’m A Thug hitmaker is facing more than just tax troubles - a bank foreclosed his Miami, Florida home in May (10).

ARETHA FRANKLIN’s representative has confirmed the legendary singer is alive and well after she became the latest victim of an internet death hoax.
The Queen of Soul underwent surgery at a hospital in Detroit, Michigan earlier this month (Dec10) to treat an undisclosed ailment, with subsequent reports suggesting she has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

COLIN FIRTH is keen to shed his serious movie image - he’d love to play "a transvestite or a stripper" on the big screen.

Actor WILLIAM FORSYTHE hopes teens see his new movie portrayal of serial killer JOHN WAYNE GACY - because it might make them think twice before befriending strangers.
Gacy, dubbed The Killer Clown, raped and murdered 33 teenage boys between 1972 and 1978.
Forsythe admits playing such a sick character in the film Dear Mr. Gacy was a real challenge, and he wants teenage boys to see the movie and steer clear of strangers.
He says, "I want teenagers to see this movie because it’s a story about being careful. Today in pop culture all these kids want to dabble in evil and be like these evil guys and put up the horns. I want kids to realise that there’s real evil out there.
"There’s a naivete that’s going on about evil that is so troubling in the world right now and that’s the reason I did the movie.
"I’ve had young people come up to me and go, ‘Dude, wow you played Gacy; he’s one of my heroes.’ I get so mad and look at them and say, ‘You gotta be kidding me. How would you like to have all 300 of his pounds sitting on you choking you out with your own underwear while he’s raping you and torturing you and murdering you slowly?’ "This guy is no hero. This was a disturbed monster."

Four-times world surfing champion STEPHANIE GILMORE has been hospitalised after she was attacked by a man with a metal pole outside her home in Australia.
The 22 year old suffered a fractured wrist and cuts to her head and hand as she fought off the assailant outside her apartment in Tweed Heads, New South Wales on Monday night (27Dec10).
She was treated at a local hospital and a man was reportedly arrested at the scene later that night, according to Australia’s Gold Coast Bulletin.
The unnamed man was charged with a number of offences including wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. He was refused bail in a hearing at Tweed Heads Local Court on Tuesday morning (28Dec10) and is due to reappear via video link from Grafton Correctional Centre on 10 January (11).

British funnyman MATT LUCAS has been forced to defend his latest sketch show with comedy partner DAVID WALLIAMS following a raft of complaints about racial elements of the programme.
The Little Britain duo is back on the small screen in new series Come Fly With Me, based around a fictional U.K. airport, and Lucas and Walliams dress up as a number of characters from different ethnicities to score laughs.
In the episode which aired in Britain on Christmas Day (25Dec10), Lucas is seen with a darkened face and a beard playing a Muslim airport worker called Taaj. He also adopts a West Indian accent to portray a black woman called Precious, while Walliams is seen in a number of guises including as a Middle Eastern employee called Moses.
But the characters have sparked numerous complaints online and some fans have even addressed Lucas directly about their concerns by posting messages on his Twitter.com page.
One fan wrote, "Do you not think that blacking up and adopting an accent is a bit Bernard Manning, and more importantly not funny." The message prompted Lucas to respond, "Like in Little Britain, we try to reflect, affectionately, the multi-cultural Britain we love. No offence is intended." A spokesman for the BBC adds, "The characters are representative of all of Britain. Of course no offence is intended."

TIM BURTON is refusing to undergo an operation to fix a deviated septum in his nose, even though his snoring infuriates his partner HELENA BONHAM CARTER.
The Hollywood couple lives together in London in two adjoining houses which are interconnected so they can spend time apart, and Bonham Carter admits Burton’s snoring is one of the reasons why she likes having her own space.
The actress reveals a nasal septum deviation is to blame for Burton’s snores, but he won’t undergo surgery to fix the problem.
She says, "Tim does snore, and that’s an element (of our living situation). We’ve tried lots of remedies that don’t work. He has a deviated septum and doesn’t want an operation."

Actor SEAN PENN, filmmaker PAUL HAGGIS and movie mogul HARVEY WEINSTEIN are backing an Amnesty International campaign to free two Iranian directors who were sentenced to six years in prison earlier this month (Dec10).
Jafar Panahi, a vocal supporter of the country’s opposition leader Mir-Hossein Mousavi, was arrested in March (10) and was recently convicted of campaigning against Iran’s government. Panahi was handed the punishment alongside fellow filmmaker Mohammad Rasoulof, who was also jailed for six years.
Martin Scorsese urged Hollywood to "campaign aggressively" for their release, and Penn, Haggis and Weinstein have now joined calls for the pair’s freedom by signing Amnesty International’s petition backing the moviemakers.
Haggis, the co-founder of Artists for Peace and Justice, says, "As someone who has often gotten in trouble for opening his mouth, it is hard to fathom the idea of being incarcerated for six years simply for speaking my mind, or to be banned from making films for 20 years.
"If this happened to me, I would hope my colleagues would speak out in my name, as we are compelled to speak out in Jafar’s. I urge the Iranian authorities to overturn Mr. Panahi’s inhumane and unjust sentence.
"I ask that people across the world join Sean Penn, Harvey Weinstein and myself in signing the Amnesty International petition calling for the immediate reversal of the sentence against Jafar Panahi and Mohammad Rasoulof."
