ROBERT DE NIRO has topped a gruesome new survey - he has ‘died’ on screen more times than any other Hollywood star.
The Taxi Driver legend has met a nasty end in 15 different movies, including Cape Fear, Jackie Brown, and Heat, topping a poll by ChaCha.com.
Second in the list is Bruce Willis, who has racked up 11 movie deaths, including two at the hands of his real-life ex-wife Demi Moore - in Mortal Thoughts and Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle.
Third place goes to Johnny Depp, with 10 onscreen deaths, including his blood-spattered exit in A Nightmare on Elm Street.
Dustin Hoffman, Al Pacino, and Jack Nicholson are tied with nine.
The top 10 is rounded out by Denzel Washington (eight), Christian Bale (eight), and George Clooney (five).

KELLY OSBOURNE has vowed to quit posting on microblogging website Twitter.com after an online war-of-words with her ex-boyfriend LUKE WORRALL.
The pop singer-turned-reality TV star dumped model Worrall in July (10), but admits she is still broken-hearted over their split.
She took to her page on Twitter on Tuesday (28Dec10) to launch a furious rant at Worrall, accusing him of sleeping with dozens of women since the break-up.
Worrall hit back, branding Osbourne’s claims "lies" and laughing when a fan congratulated him on his womanising ways - and Osbourne has now decided to quit the website as she is still in turmoil over her ex.
She writes, "Don’t think I have ever felt so stupid, he made a fool of me, going to be off Twitter for a while, never felt heart brake (sic) like this in my life."

SYLVESTER STALLONE can add pen manufacturer to his resume - he’s signed up as a consultant and public face of luxury writing company Montegrappa.
The Rocky star is an avid collector of high-quality writing instruments and always uses a Montegrappa marker to ink his name on movie contracts.
Now he’s taken his love of fine pens to another level - he’s agreed to act as brand ambassador for the prestigious Italian company, and provide creative input for a new range of pens lined up for production next year (11), according to TradeArabia.com.
In return, the Hollywood star receives a major stake in the company.

DARYL HALL is set to ring in the New Year in star-studded style with an Internet concert to remember.
The Hall & Oates star’s Live from Daryl’s House: A New Year’s Eve Special will feature performances from Rob Thomas, soul legend Smokey Robinson, Todd Rundgren, Sharon Jones and former Fall Out Boy frontman Patrick Stump, among others.
The show will also be broadcast on Chicago TV station WGN America.

The R&B star cuddles up to his model girlfriend Chrissy Teigen inside their apartment in the East Village neighbourhood for the latest edition of New York Magazine.
Legend admits he struggled to find a property which fit his requirements.
He reveals, "Most of the places you look at are cookie-cutter boxes. They don’t have any cool shapes. When I was drawing up my ideal thing in my head, it was a unique space in a newer building, with lots of light."

DURAN DURAN star SIMON LE BON celebrated his 25th wedding anniversary with his wife YASMIN on Monday (27Dec10), insisting he’s "lucky" they have such a good relationship.
The singer started dating the model after he saw her on the cover of a magazine and rang her modelling agency to track her down, before marrying the beauty on 27 December 1985.
Le Bon, who has three daughters with Yasmin, marked the milestone by taking to Twitter.com to thank fans for their congratulatory messages and to pay tribute to his partner.
He writes, "Yes 25th wedding anniv. (sic) today. Thx (thanks) to all wellwishers. I have to say that it’s been a mostly gone quite well (sic) if not always smoothly. Lucky! Singer FANTASIA BARRINO was forced to cancel a show in New York on Monday night (27Dec10) after heavy snow brought the city to a standstill.
Traffic ground to a halt on Sunday (26Dec10), while the heavy snowfall caused major airports to shut down and led to public transportation delays across the U.S. East Coast.
The former American Idol winner was due to perform a gig at the Big Apple’s Beacon Theatre on Monday, but because of the weather Barrino’s concert was axed and will be rescheduled for a later date.
But the icy conditions have not brought the lights down on Broadway - theatre bosses are reportedly forging ahead with all scheduled performances.

BEATLES fans have blasted a decision by English Heritage bosses not to save RINGO STARR’s birthplace from demolition - branding the ruling "a joke".
Earlier this month (Dec10), a preservation order was placed on the famous pedestrian crossing in London featured on the cover of the Fab Four’s 1969 album Abbey Road.
The decision was taken after English Heritage bosses advised the British government to save the crossing - but it later emerged they had also decided drummer Starr’s birthplace in Liverpool is not worth preserving.
The property - at 9 Madryn Street - is under threat of demolition, and now campaigners are urging officials to step in and save it before the bulldozers move in.
A spokesman for Save Britain’s Heritage tells architecture website BDOnline, "How is it possible to argue that (the) birthplace of Ringo Starr is less important than the Abbey Road crossing? Madryn Street, which Ringo frequently refers to in his own writings and lyrics, draws in thousands of visitors from across the globe.
"It is in an area desperately trying to cling on to its historic identity in the face enforced blight and threatened destruction. The house and neighbourhood embody the romance of the Beatles story."

TEENA MARIE’s mentor BERRY GORDY has spoken of his grief following the singer’s sudden death over the holiday weekend (25-26Dec10) - insisting he is "horrified" by the tragedy.
The soul legend, who signed to Gordy’s Motown record label in the late 1970s, passed away in her sleep at her home in Pasadena, California on Sunday (26Dec10). She was 54 years old.
Stars including Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, Mary J. Blige and Lenny Kravitz led tributes to Marie after the news broke, and now her longtime friend and former boss Gordy spoken of his heartache.
He says in a statement, "I am horrified by the sudden death of my darling Teena Marie. She was my ‘baby,’ always true to herself, always true to her heart. When I first auditioned her she was so awesome she blew me away… She had so much soul - the only thing white about her was her skin. She was a powerhouse performer, writer, producer and arranger. Anyone who ever saw her perform, alone or with Rick James, will never forget how exciting music can be.
"My heart goes out to her sweet, sweet daughter, Alia Rose, her family, friends and fans. Teena Marie will always be a part of the Motown family. We will all miss her."

MILEY CYRUS is facing fresh controversy after a set of photographs which appear to show her in a compromising position with a female friend leaked online.
The Hannah Montana star is pictured lying on a sofa in a revealing black mini-dress, as a girl, believed to be her assistant, pulls at the fabric and pretends to lick the star’s breast.
Another snap shows the 18 year old surrounded by scantily-clad men, pulling up a white t-shirt to reveal her bra.
The leaked pictures are the latest blow for the former child star, coming just weeks after she was caught on camera allegedly smoking hallucinogenic legal high Salvia from a bong.
Cyrus was previously hit by a saucy picture scandal back in 2008 when provocative shots of the teenager posing in her underwear hit the internet after a hacker allegedly accessed her email account.

Soul star BERNARD WILSON has died at the age of 64.
The singer, best known as a member of Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes, passed away on Sunday (26Dec10) at the Kresson View nursing home in Voorhees, New Jersey after suffering undisclosed medical complications.
He is known to have suffered a major stroke in 2009, as well as a heart attack earlier this year (10).
Wilson shot to fame alongside singers Teddy Pendergrass and Harold Melvin in the 1970s soul group, producing iconic hits including If You Don’t Know Me By Now.
His death means Lloyd Parks is now the only surviving member of the band - Pendergrass died earlier this year (10) and Melvin passed away in 1997.
Wilson’s cousin, Faith Peace-Mazzccua, tells Philly.com, "He was always singing and getting papers and writing down stuff… We used to say, ‘He left home a pauper, and came home a millionaire’."

Embattled rapper DMX has been transferred to a mental health unit at the prison where he is currently serving a 12-month sentence for probation violation.
The hip-hop star, real name Earl Simmons, was busted by cops at an Arizona club in November (10) after slipping up in his sobriety battle by using cocaine and consuming alcohol during a gig. He was also accused of driving on a suspended licence and failing to check in with his probation officer.
DMX initially denied the allegations, but later entered a guilty plea to a charge of felony probation violation and was sentenced to a year behind bars.
At the sentencing hearing earlier this month (16Dec10), Judge Christine Mulleneaux expressed concern he is suffering from an undiagnosed mental condition, and on 20 December (10), DMX was admitted to the Flamenco Mental Health Unit inside the Alahambra Prison complex, reports AllHipHop.com.
He has also been barred from having any visitors for 30 days while he is treated in the unit.

LEANN RIMES and EDDIE CIBRIAN’s happy engagement news has been soured by scathing comments from the actor’s ex-wife, who has criticised her former partner for announcing his wedding plans to the world before telling his kids.
The couple became involved back in 2008 while they were both married - Rimes has since divorced dancer Dean Sheremet and Cibrian ended his union to Brandi Glanville.
The CSI: Miami star sealed his romance with Rimes by proposing over Christmas and she announced the engagement in a post on Twitter.com.
But the news has provoked an angry response from Glanville, who claims Cibrian failed to tell the former couple’s two sons about his plans to marry Rimes.
In a message sent to Cibrian on Twitter.com, Glanville writes, "Congrats! (Again) Thanku (sic) for announcing this to the press before telling our kids. As u leave 4 vaca (vacation), once again, I got this!"

The Alice In Wonderland star, who has two kids with director Tim Burton, uses her housework to relieve tension and admits she finds doing chores and acting in films more helpful than seeing a psychologist.
She says, "I’ve discovered the therapy of cleaning. I used to be retarded domestically but now I understand that if you put your house in order, it gets your head in order as well. I know all about (cleaning product) Cillit Bang, which I use on the cooker.
"I’ve done therapy and it was helpful, but with acting I dream every day, scream and get the tensions out. And you’re paid for that rather than paying for a therapist."

Iconic films including THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK, THE EXORCIST and SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER are to be preserved as American national treasures with an induction into the Library of Congress’ National Film Registry.
Twenty five films have been selected to be stored in the national archives as part of an annual drive to preserve movies with artistic, cultural or historical significance.
George Lucas’ 1980 sci-fi sequel is among the 2010 inductees and will join the Star Wars film in the archive, while Saturday Night Fever, starring a disco-dancing John Travolta, horror classic The Exorcist, and political thriller All the President’s Men also make the list.
A poignant addition to the archives this year (10) is Airplane!, just a month after the death of its star Leslie Nielsen, while The Pink Panther is also included. The film’s writer/director Blake Edwards died earlier this month (Dec10).

Movie bosses behind THE HANGOVER sequel have confirmed a stuntman injured in a horrific onset accident has been moved to a hospital in the Thai capital of Bangkok where he is receiving "advanced care".
Australian action star Scott McLean, whose movie credits include The Matrix and Ghost Rider, was filming a daring road stunt in Thailand on 17 December (10) when a truck and a car collided.
He was taken to a local medical centre to receive treatment for his injuries and later moved to a hospital in Bangkok, where he was reportedly placed in a medically-induced coma.
Bosses at the Warner Bros. film studio have now released a statement which reads, "There was an accident involving a truck and a car on the second unit set of The Hangover Part II near Bangkok, Thailand… A stuntman was injured during the filming of this sequence. The truck and car were both driven by stunt drivers. An ambulance immediately took the injured stuntman to the local hospital, and he has since been transported to a hospital in Bangkok where advanced care is being provided. We are awaiting further details concerning his condition."

Pregnant actress NATALIE PORTMAN has yet another reason to celebrate this week (beg27Dec10) - her new movie BLACK SWAN has picked up seven nominations from the Online Film Critics Society.
Portman announced on Monday (27Dec10) she is expecting her first child and also confirmed her engagement to choreographer Benjamin Millepied, who she met on the set of Black Swan.
The movie has already picked up a number of important awards nominations, including nods at the upcoming Golden Globes, and now it is now set to lead the Online Film Critics Society 2010 prize-giving.
Portman is nominated in the Best Actress category, while her co-star Mila Kunis is up for the Best Supporting Actress trophy and Darren Aronofsky is nominated for Best Director. The dark thriller is also leading the Best Film category, as well as scoring nods for best original screenplay, cinematography and editing.
The Social Network garnered six nominations and will compete with Black Swan - along with Inception, Toy Story 3, True Grit and Winter’s Bone - for the Best Film prize The winners will be announced on 3 January (11).

Early lyrics written by AMY WINEHOUSE during her school years have reportedly been found in a trash can in London.
The Back to Black hitmaker scrawled song ideas in her notebooks when she was a youngster, and the items were recently discovered in a garbage bin, according to Britain’s The Sun.
The newspaper has published excerpts from Winehouse’s personal musings - including an entry entitled "When I do record deal…" detailing her dreams of living "like the bombshell I really am".
Winehouse also reportedly penned lyrics such as, "I’m digging myself into a hole/These days I’ll just work when once I had so much soul".
It is not known when or how the lyrics were found.
