WITHERSPOON BLOCKS OUT MOVIE SHOOT MEMORIES
REESE WITHERSPOON never watches her own movies because seeing herself on screen leaves her wracked with "self-hate".
The Walk the Line actress often attends red carpet premieres of her Hollywood films, but she avoids sitting through screenings and never sees her movies after they’ve gone on general release.
And she is so anxious about her onscreen performances, her brain automatically blocks out the memories of filming once the cameras stop rolling.
She says, "I have absolute amnesia about every movie I have ever made. I won’t watch them because if I did I would spiral into a state of self-hate but I sometimes catch the odd clip of something. I look at it and think, ‘I have absolutely no memory of that’. It’s really weird."
