DESCHANEL FILES SUIT AGAINST SHOE DESIGNER
Actress ZOOEY DESCHANEL has filed a multi-million dollar lawsuit against a shoe company alleging she signed a deal to promote the brand, but wasn’t paid for her efforts.
The (500) Days of Summer star lodged papers at Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday (17Dec10), claiming her agent brokered a $2 million (£1.3 million) endorsement deal with Steve Madden to become the face of the footwear firm.
The contract was later amended to a $1.5 million (£1 million) pay out, but the actress alleges she has yet to receive any money from the company.
Deschanel’s lawsuit is seeking the $1.5 million (£1 million) plus interest and legal costs, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
