LE BON TURNS THE AIR BLUE ON U.K. TV
DURAN DURAN star SIMON LE BON provoked an apology from a TV presenter on Friday (17Dec10) when he let slip a four-letter word during a live show.
The Rio hitmaker was being interviewed on panel show Loose Women and was recounting his early days in the music business with a punk band called Dog Days when he revealed they were once branded "dog s**t" by a venue promoter.
And although the singer tried to mutter the obscenity under his breath, panicked presenter Kate Thornton told viewers, "It’s a naughty word and we are sorry for Simon’s potty-mouth." But Le Bon was adamant he had not audibly cursed, adding: "I didn’t say it! I didn’t say it! I just said ‘Dog shh…’"
