An effort to pardon late THE DOORS rocker JIM MORRISON on 41-year-old indecency charges in Florida looks set to be approved in time for Christmas (10) after state Governor CHARLIE CRIST agreed to lead the vote.
Morrison was arrested in Miami for indecent exposure at a 1969 concert, but Governor Crist insists it’s time for lawmakers to forgive and forget.
He tells Rolling Stone magazine, "After reviewing the case and getting briefed on it, it seems like a real injustice was done. It seemed to me that it would be a tragedy to have this be the lasting legacy of his life. I just wanted to give an opportunity for forgiveness." The pardon will go through after a formal clemency meeting on 9 December (10). Crist does not expect any opposition.
He adds, "I used to be attorney general and my predecessor taught me that it’s very important to prosecute the guilty, but it may even be more important to exonerate the innocent." The pardon will be one of Crist’s final acts as Florida Governor - his term expires on 4 January (11).

LIAM GALLAGHER has joined the celebrities fighting to keep fabled London venue The 100 Club alive and he is considering launching his new band BEADY EYE there.
The former Oasis frontman has sent a handwritten note to the organisers of a new campaign to raise vital funds for the club, which has staged landmark gigs featuring The Kinks, Sex Pistols and the Rolling Stones.
Gallagher performed at the venue in 1994 with Oasis and admits he has been thinking about performing there again with his new band.
He writes, "It’s a real shame. Fancied playing there again with the mighty Beady Eye." The Some Might Say singer has joined rockers Mick Jagger, Mick Jones and Ray Davies among those who have publicly supported the bid to keep the club open.
Venue bosses need to raise $750,000 (£500,000) from a series of upcoming benefit shows to save the 100 Club from closure.

The latest HARRY POTTER film has become the franchise’s most popular - as far as advanced ticket sales are concerned.
Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows - Part 1 has jumped ahead of 2009’s Harry Potter & the Half Blood Prince to become MovieTickets.com’s number four advance ticket seller of all-time.

Quirky movie star SEAN YOUNG had the presenters and crew of news show ACCESS HOLLYWOOD scratching their heads on Thursday morning (18Nov10) when she showed up for an interview with her pet bunny.
The actress was promoting her upcoming stint on TV challenge Skating With The Stars and told hosts Billy Bush and Kit Hoover her rabbit, called Bunny, had asked to join her for the chat.
After joking, "You can never get enough good accessories in Hollywood," Young revealed, "She said to me, ‘I’d like to go!’ I talk to the bunny." Tapping her head with a finger, the eccentric star added, "It’s all here; it’s mental."

Films about quirky British artist BANKSY and disgraced former New York Governor ELIOT SPITZER have been named among the 15 documentaries shortlisted for Oscar consideration.
Banksy’s Exit through the Gift Shop and Client 9: The Rise and Fall of Eliot Spitzer will compete with Gasland, The Lottery, Enemies of The People and Genius Within: The Inner Life of Glenn Gould, among others, for an Academy Awards nomination in January (11).
The Best Documentary Feature Oscar will be presented at the 83rd Academy Awards on 27 February (11).

Actress MARISSA JARET WINOKUR has begun the surrogacy process to become a mother for the second time.
The star, who appeared in hit Broadway musical Hairspray, welcomed son Zev in 2008 via surrogate after beating cervical cancer.
Winokur and her husband Judah Miller are keen to give Zev a little brother or sister and have already met with experts to help expand their family.
Revealing the news on U.S. TV’s The Talk on Thursday (18Nov10), she says, "We’re in the process, we’ve met with the surrogate agencies, we’ve started the shots. We’re moving forward, it’s a long process."

Hollywood tough guy STEVEN SEAGAL has stepped into the Ultimate Fighting cage - the movie star is training QUINTON ‘RAMPAGE’ JACKSON’s upcoming opponent.
Jackson, who starred in The A-Team remake, is looking to get his Ultimate Fighting Championship career back on track following his recent cage smackdown at the hands of Rashad Evans, but he will have his work cut out when he meets Lyoto Machida on Saturday (20Nov10) in Detroit, Michigan.

A man accused of stalking AUDRINA PATRIDGE has been sentenced to two years behind bars and ordered to stay away from THE HILLS star for the next decade.
Zachary Loring was arrested outside Patridge’s Los Angeles home earlier this year (10) and pleaded no contest to a stalking charge in June (10).
He was found to be competent for state prison after undergoing a 90-day psychiatric evaluation and was sentenced in court on Thursday (18Nov10).
Loring was also banned from approaching Patridge and her family for the next 10 years, reports TMZ.com.
Police reports suggest he repeatedly visited the star at her home and left her a number of disturbing items, including drawings and poetry.

CHRISTINA AGUILERA is adapting well to life as a single mother following her break-up from husband JORDAN BRATMAN, admitting she’s found her "own rhythm of doing things".
The pop superstar’s shock split from the music executive hit the headlines last month (Oct10) and Aguilera promptly filed for divorce.
The estranged couple has remained silent about the reasons for the separation, but the Beautiful singer insists she’s growing used to bringing up their son Max on her own.
And Aguilera, whose own parents split when she was young, is making sure the two-year-old knows he’s her number one priority.
She tells U.S. talk show host Jay Leno, "He’s just the happiest guy ever and I wanna make sure he stays that way.
"More power to all the single mums out there. It’s hard, definitely. It’s hard just being a working mum and trying to balance everything on your plate. You find your own routine, your own rhythm of doing things and you know, I like to be the first thing he wakes up to in the morning and the last thing he goes to bed at night seeing and singing him his lullabies to him, and it means the world to me to be able to do that.

Singer/actress CHRISTINA AGUILERA was so desperate to lands a role alongside her idol CHER in new movie BURLESQUE she instructed movie bosses to "stalk" the pop icon until she agreed to sign up for the film.
The Genie in a Bottle hitmaker knew Cher would be perfect in the role of Tess and ordered producers to stop at nothing to snag her.
She says, "I was the first one to sign up to the movie and I knew when her name was brought up in conversations to play Tess, I was like, ‘Go after her, stalk her, sleep under her doorstep at night, she needs to be in this movie starring opposite me.’ "And so they did that and was like (to Cher), ‘She (Aguilera) loves you, she’s such a huge fan, she will drink your bath water, she would just die for you!’" Aguilera admits she was incredibly shy when the Believe superstar turned up onset for her first day of work, but managed to overcome her nerves to confess her love for Cher to the legend herself.
She adds, "I was a little embarrassed when I first met her. I walked up to her and I said, ‘Hi Cher, nice to meet you, I’m the obsessed stalker that wants to drink your bath water!’"

JAMES BOND star SIR ROGER MOORE is celebrating after persuading bosses at a British department store to remove foie gras from their fancy restaurant menu.
Harvey Nichols chiefs were urged to take action by the former 007 actor as part of his campaign against the delicacy on behalf of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.
Moore has previously convinced the company’s executives to stop selling foie gras, and after talks with PETA officials they also agreed to remove the dish from the menu at Harvey Nichols restaurants in the New Year.
The actor’s success has prompted him to increase pressure on other top U.K. stores, which list the pate as a menu item - his next target is Queen Elizabeth II’s favourite London store, Fortnum & Mason.
In a statement on the PETA website, Moore says, "It’s absolutely splendid news that Harvey Nichols has taken my appeal and that of other caring people into consideration and will be pulling foie gras from its menus.
"With British businesses like Harvey Nichols and Selfridges rejecting foie gras, I will now be turning my attention to a little shop in Piccadilly called Fortnum & Mason, which PETA informs me is resistant to appeals for compassion for cruelly force-fed birds!" Foie gras is a food product made of the liver of a duck or goose that has been specially fattened.

Veteran rapper FLAVOR FLAV has become the latest hip-hop star to enter the alcohol industry - he’s launching a range of flavoured vodkas.
The Public Enemy star has been working on Le Flav Spirits and is aiming to have the liquors on the market early next year (11).
He says, "I want you all to keep on the look out. It should be on the shelves by January… I’m coming out with a cherry vodka, a berry vodka, an olive vodka, a sweet tea vodka, a bubblegum vodka and a grape vodka." And Flav is already planning to expand the collection: "Also, I’m coming out with Le Flav Cognac and Chateaux Le Flav, which will be some bubbly (champagne)." The rapper is also giving fans something to nibble on - he wants to share his love of fried chicken too.
He adds, "Y’all heard of KFC, right? Well this is FFC, Flav’s Fried Chicken." Flav joins the likes of rap moguls Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, Dr. Dre and Ludacris in the liquor industry.

Two previously unknown violin compositions by ANTONIO VIVALDI have been unearthed in the U.K.
The sonatas were recently discovered among a 180-page portfolio owned by late businessman Gerald Coke, which were donated to the Foundling Museum in London in 2008.
Museum officials only realised the significance of the pieces when they began to catalogue the papers, which date back to the 18th century.
They have been authenticated by Vivaldi expert Michael Talbot, a visiting professor of music at Britain’s Liverpool Hope University, and one of the lost pieces, Sonata in C, will be performed at the school as part of the Cornerstone Festival on Sunday (22Nov10).

CHER considered suicide after learning the truth about her husband SONNY BONO’s womanising ways.
The superstar now feels she and her former partner should never have been husband and wife - and his secret affairs made her miserable.
She tells Parade magazine, "Stardom made Sonny a huge womaniser. One woman, or even five, was not enough for him. I found all this out afterward. I asked him, ‘How did you manage the logistics?’ "I was trusting and faithful with him. The truth is, I’m not so sure we should’ve ever been husband and wife." Feeling trapped and depressed, she considered taking her own life in the early 1970s: "I thought about jumping off a hotel balcony. Then I thought, ‘No, I can just leave him’. When I told Sonny, he said, ‘If you leave me, America will hate you and you won’t have a job.’ "I went, ‘You know what, Sonny? I just don’t care!’"

HARRY POTTER villain TOM FELTON is heading for another major movie franchise after confirming he’s signed on for the PLANET OF THE APES prequel.
But the Brit won’t be aping it up on screen in the film - he’ll play a human in the film.
He tells WENN, "It’s called Rise of The Apes and it is a fantastic story and explanation of how the apes from Planet of the Apes came to power. It’s definitely one of the best scripts I’ve ever read.
"The first question my friends asked was, ‘Are you playing a human?’ and when I said yes they were quite disappointed - because they wanted to see me as a monkey. We’ve got Andy Serkis, from Lord of The Rings, playing the lead ape all with motion capture. It’s really pushing the boundaries of Avatar-style CGI, so it’s gonna really set a new precedent I think.
"In the film my character’s father owns a primate facility. Of course I’m not the kindest man to my residents and I torture them with a whole host of weapons."

Comedian DANE COOK is preparing to make his Broadway debut next year (11) in an upcoming production of NEIL LABUTE’s FAT PIG.
Ashton Kutcher had been in talks to lead the project last year (09), but negotiations reportedly fell through and now Cook will tread the boards as a bachelor who falls in love with a plus-size girl.
Actor Josh Hamilton has signed on as Cook’s co-star, while other roles have yet to be cast.
The comedy was last staged off-Broadway in 2004 and enjoyed a successful run in London’s West End in 2009.

Property mogul-turned-reality TV star DONALD TRUMP is seriously considering running for U.S. president in 2012, because he wants to show the world America is not a country "led by fools".
The businessman admits there is some truth to rumours of his political aspirations and he’s mulling over the idea of entering the race for the White House when current leader Barack Obama’s first term in office is up in two years’ time.
In an interview on U.S. TV’s Good Morning America, he says, "I am thinking about things. I’m looking at this country and what’s happened in terms of respect. And the respect for this country is just not there.
"I have many people from China that I do business with; they laugh at us. They feel we’re fools, and almost being led by fools. And they can’t believe what they’re getting away with.
"I’d love to see some positive things for this country. When people say they don’t respect our country… We cannot let the rest of the world beat us up, we’re like a whipping post right now." If Trump does decide to launch a bid for the presidency, he will stay true to his current political allegiance and run as a Republican - and he insists he’d be willing to stand against former 2008 vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, should she announce her own intentions to run for office once again.
He adds, "I’ve seen what she’s done. Do not underestimate her. I would take her on. Don’t get me wrong, I like her, but I’d take her on." But Trump will be keeping the media guessing about whether he will run for president until next summer (11): "I’d make a decision probably by June."
