RUFFALO’S WRESTLING CAREER CAME IN HANDY FOR HULK DIET

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:24 am

MARK RUFFALO is adjusting well to the gruelling training he is undergoing for his shirt-ripping new role as THE HULK - because he was once a high-school wrestling champ.
The 42-year-old actor is set to replace Edward Norton as Dr. Bruce Banner and his monstrous alter-ego in upcoming superhero movie The Avengers, and is already eating plenty and working out to get in shape.
But Ruffalo has been through the pain of toning up his body before - he followed in his dad’s footsteps and won medals as a student wrestler.
He tells E!Online, "They (film bosses) want me mean and lean, but they don’t want me big and buff. I gotta keep building and building and building. You have to eat to build muscle." "I was a wrestler. I’m used to starving myself. It’s easy for me. The last two weeks you just walk around spitting into a cup."

AGUILERA’S SON LOVES HOLE LEFT BY CHIN PIERCING

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:54 am

CHRISTINA AGUILERA’s two-year-old son is fixated on the pop star’s old chin piercing and likes to play with the small hole left by the removed jewellery.
The Beautiful singer admits she no longer sports a lot of the body piercings she flaunted during her youth and while the holes have mostly healed, there’s still evidence of one on her chin - and her son Max loves nothing better than to touch it.
Aguilera says, "Old piercings, I have many. He’s fascinated with a time and place in my life when I had a little hole in my chin and he sort of plays with the hole in my chin." The pop star insists she doesn’t regret any of her piercings and would not stand in the way of Max getting pierced when he’s older, but she hopes it’ll be several years before she has to face that decision - and her own big reveal about where all her piercings were.
She adds, "I want him to express himself as an individual and I’m OK with that. It’ll be a long time coming before he sees where I got all my piercings."

The Umbrella hitmaker regularly flaunts her assets in skimpy stage outfits or in sexy photoshoots and appears semi-nude in the artwork for her new album Loud.

She says, "I got a few offers to do Playboy actually. They want to pay you to be naked on the cover.
"If I’m gonna take my clothes off, it has to be in a classy way and my will, not a cheque. I wouldn’t take any money to do that."

CHER TOOK ON STREEP ROLE FOR NOVICE AGUILERA

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:51 am

CHER helped co-star CHRISTINA AGUILERA master her first acting role on the set of BURLESQUE by recalling the tricks MERYL STREEP used to guide her when she was a movie novice.
The Dirrty singer makes her acting debut in the upcoming musical, and Aguilera recently admitted she was terrified of starring alongside her idol Cher.
But the showbiz veteran knew just what to do to put the younger singer at ease and mentored her in the same way Streep did when Cher was a nervous newcomer on the set of 1983 drama Silkwood.
She tells movie website Collider.com, "She reminded me of the relationship that I had with Meryl Streep, when Meryl took me under her wing. The truth was that I didn’t have any idea where to stand, not that I know where to stand now. I just learned what downstage and upstage is.
"But, Christina worked so hard. She overcame a lot. She came on the set with us, and that’s a little bit nerve-wracking when you’ve done nothing in film. I tried to put her at ease. As time went by, she felt a lot more comfortable." Aguilera has revealed Cher greeted her with a warm hug each day and the Believe singer admits she even messed up a scene or two so her co-star could have another opportunity to perform better.

PERRY’S AIDES ASK FOR BOOB JOB ON NEW POSTER

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:48 am

KATY PERRY’s bust has hit the headlines again after her handlers asked VH1 marketing men to tone down her assets for the poster advertising the upcoming Divas Salute The Troops TV special.
The newlywed Teenage Dream singer appears parachuting into the ad and her reps feared Perry’s sizeable chest would stir up fresh controversy - so they asked for a retouch, according to reports.
Her boobs were digitally toned down to appear smaller in the official poster for the 5 December (10) concert.
A source tells UsMagazine.com, "Her team thought her boobs looked too big." It’s not the first time Perry’s breasts have caused her problems - Sesame Street bosses were forced to axe her performance of Hot N Cold last month (Oct10) on the kids show when parents complained about her busty look.

WYCLEF SINGS ABOUT POLITICAL DISAPPOINTMENT

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:48 am

WYCLEF JEAN has turned his failed bid to run for President of Haiti into a series of new songs.
The hip-hop star was barred from the political race in his homeland because he does not maintain a property there, and now he has condensed his disappointment into a new six-track EP, called If I Were President: My Haitian Experience.
And the rapper hopes his new political anthem Election Time, which leads the release, will inspire citizens to vote in the upcoming elections.
He says, "It means the rebirth of my country. It means that the young people can bring about change. I would want to tell the youth of Haiti to go out and vote. We have had a long history of dictatorship in Haiti. It’s not a Haitian right to vote that we are talking about. We are talking about a world right. Take your right. Your true weapon is your voting card. Use your weapon and use it wisely."

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:45 am

Prison life is getting to rapper T.I. - and he still has another 11 months to serve.
The hip-hop star, real name Clifford Joseph Harris, Jr., surrendered to authorities in Arkansas at the beginning of the month (Nov10) and is currently serving a year behind bars for violating his parole on illegal weapons charges.
And T.I. is struggling with his latest loss of freedom - as he reveals in a letter to fans on his website.
The statement reads, "I don’ t know what effect this will have on my life moving forward but I’m certainly sick and mother f**king tired of going to jail, juve, prison, the pen, correctional facilities or whatever else you want to call it.
"I’d have been better off doing a 5-10 year bid one time than going in time and time again for days, weeks and months for the last 15 years of my life." But the star insists this prison stint will be his last: "If an hour in the dark is worth a second in the sun then pass me my mother f**kin’ shades, cause I’m ready to cash my darkest hours in…ASAP!!!"

BROWN GETS TOP MARKS FOR PROBATION PROGRESS

GYLLENHAAL LIKES RUNNING BAREFOOT

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:45 am

Actor JAKE GYLLENHAAL has a marathon on his mind after developing a love for running barefoot from his brother-in-law PETER SARSGAARD.
The sporty star picked up the hobby after spending time with his sister Maggie’s actor husband at their home in Brooklyn, New York and he now exercises in special gym shoes designed with super-thin soles.
He says, "I like barefoot running. My brother-in-law is a big barefoot runner, he runs barefoot in Brooklyn occasionally.
"I run with minimalist shoes, which are shoes which basically protect you from getting any sort of disease, or a pin in your foot or glass in your foot, which actually helps your running style because when you run with thick heels, I think a lot of people are eventually prone to injury. You run as fast as your body can handle.
And Gyllenhaal reveals he’s set himself a new life goal - he wants to one day complete a marathon.
He adds, "I have not run a marathon (but) yes, I would like to."

ANDERSON USED SIMPSON CLOTHING TO PORTRAY SOCIALITE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:42 am

Actress GILLIAN ANDERSON wore items from American socialite WALLIS SIMPSON’s personal wardrobe in a bid to capture the essence of the historical icon for a new British TV series.
The X-Files star admits she has turned down opportunities to play the late Duchess of Windsor in the past, but fell in love with writer William Boyd’s Any Human Heart script and signed on.
Wracked with nerves about the role - her first real-life character - Anderson went to great lengths to make sure she was properly portraying the wife of British royal Edward VIII.
She studied up on Simpson and then insisted on perfecting her voice, walk and mannerisms.
The actress says, "Getting the voice helped. I worked with a fantastic voice coach and that brought a lot of her personality out. Plus the costume department found pieces of clothing that actually belonged to Wallis so I felt like I was really living the part." But Anderson is still nervous about what Brits will think of her portrayal when the series begins on Sunday (21Nov10).
She adds, "I was more nervous doing this than anything I’ve done before… Everyone has such strong ideas about who she is and what she represents, but I had to knuckle down and do my work and give a flavour of who I saw her as. She’s portrayed as an ogress by the press, but I wanted to make her more complicated than that."

GIBSON’S PUBLICIST ADDS WEIGHT TO MOVIE STAR’S CUSTODY BATTLE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:42 am

MEL GIBSON’s longtime publicist has offered his take on the movie star’s ex-lover in a declaration filed to help his client win his ongoing custody battle for his baby daughter LUCIA.
Revered Hollywood PR Alan Nierob, who has represented Gibson for almost 15 years, suggests Oksana Grigorieva was a publicity-hungry girlfriend.
In legal papers obtained by TMZ.com, Nierob writes, "In my opinion she enjoyed press events more than most of my clients’ spouses and significant others." And he also recalls being around the Russian singer after the alleged fight between her and Gibson, which sparked the beginning of the end of their romance.
He recalls she was "joking, laughing and extremely happy" at a dinner three weeks after the reported fight.
The news breaks the day after Grigorieva appeared on U.S. news show Larry King Live and revealed she lived in fear of her ex towards the end of their romance - and didn’t think he was a good father.
This claim Nierob also dismisses, stating, "On a multitude of other occasions, Miss Grigorieva commented to me that she believed Mr. Gibson was a ‘great’ father to Lucia."

RADCLIFFE TAKING DANCE LESSONS FOR BROADWAY MUSICAL BOW

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:18 pm

HARRY POTTER star DANIEL RADCLIFFE is taking dance lessons to make sure he doesn’t "screw up" onstage in the musical HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS on Broadway.
The young Brit was reminded just how awful his dancing is when he had to shuffle around to a Nick Cave tune with co-star Emma Watson in the new Potter film, Deathly Hallows - Part 1, and he’s determined to look like a professional by the time he takes his Broadway bow in 2011.
He tells WENN, "Emma is actually quite a good dancer, so it was for me to muddle through. I’m a c**p dancer but next year on Broadway for How To Succeed in Business I hope to see a large improvement… Dancing is something I’ve never done before.
"I’m taking lessons. Generally speaking, I’ve been doing about nine hours a week of training, so if I screw up it’s not for lack of trying. We start rehearsals in January, previewing in February and we open in March." Radcliffe admits he’s very excited about the thought of his first musical: "My part has never been played by somebody my age before. I think that makes it quite exciting. When someone in their 30s is playing it, he’s kind of a manipulative douche but when you’ve got somebody my age playing it you attribute it to youthful chutzpah."

METALLICA CLEAR UP BEACHBALL INCIDENT REPORTS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:15 pm

METALLICA have issued a statement in a bid to get to the truth of a story suggesting a little girl was kicked into the audience at a recent concert in Australia.
The youngster, who is the daughter of the band’s stage manager, took a tumble after guitarist Kirk Hammett accidentally kicked a beachball at her and knocked her off balance.
The rockers have confirmed the incident happened but the bandmates insist reports of the girl being kicked into the audience are ridiculous.
A statement from Metallica reads, "In the whacky (sic) world of rock’n'roll, sometimes stuff happens which looks even weirder than it really is! And with context being vital in these situations, we just wanted to address something which happened on the tour the other night regarding a large beachball, a band member’s foot and a little girl.
"Some of you will have seen on YouTube (or read in some reports) that Kirk knocked a small child offstage by kicking a beachball at her. That little lady… was thoroughly enjoying watching the beachballs drop from the rafters, Kirk was thoroughly enjoying kicking the beachballs off the stage and back into the crowd as has been done every night on the tour, and neither of them saw the other.
"The poor wee one happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. She wasn’t hurt. She didn’t go ‘flying several feet into the audience.’ And Kirk and she remain good buddies.
"It’s very cool that everyone showed concern and support though, so we just wanted to say it’s all good and thanks for asking."
