AKON has a stash of recordings he made with the late MICHAEL JACKSON, but he’s threatened to "burn" the tapes because he doesn’t want to release any music which was left "unfinished".
The R&B star’s duet with the Thriller hitmaker, Hold My Hand, is set to become the first single from Jackson’s upcoming posthumous album Michael.
Akon admits he has plenty of other recordings they made together, but he doesn’t want to hang on to them in case he is tempted to rework them - because his idol wouldn’t have wanted him to release incomplete tracks.
He tells MTV.com, "Me and Mike worked on a lot of concepts before he passed. Hold My Hand was one of the records that was actually fully complete - the rest of the records are incomplete.
"They’re just ideas, concepts, harmonies and stuff like that which the world will probably never see because I wouldn’t want to put it out unfinished - so I might just burn it after this interview, ‘cos I might just get tempted to do a remix! "I know at the end of the day if it wasn’t fully complete, I don’t think he would see it released that way. I probably wouldn’t ever put myself in a position to make that choice."

JENNY MCCARTHY has branded headline-grabbing actor CHARLIE SHEEN a "class act" after working with him on TWO AND A HALF MEN.
Sheen has been embroiled in controversy since he allegedly ransacked his New York hotel room during a night of passion with adult star Capri Anderson last month (Oct10). Anderson has since lodged a harassment complaint against Sheen, who responded by accusing her of extortion.
McCarthy vowed to remain "open-minded" before joining Sheen on the sitcom’s set to reprise her guest role as a con artist - and she insists she was impressed by his professionalism, despite his ongoing personal problems.
She tells Access Hollywood, "(Sheen was) awesome, really amazing, everyone was. You know, I’ve got to tell you, he’s one of my favourite actors I’ve ever worked with - class act, on it, funny, down to earth, real.
"What I’ve learned in this business is to never have (an) assumption about anything, be open-minded and I always am. I’ve done the show before, and he was awesome, really, really awesome."

The TV mogul behind CHARLIE SHEEN’s sitcom TWO AND A HALF MEN has praised the troubled actor for his professionalism on set - insisting the star never lets his "personal issues" affect his work.
Sheen’s tumultuous private life has hit headlines on a regular basis throughout this year (10) after a Christmas Day (09) fight with his now-estranged wife Brooke Mueller left him facing criminal charges.
The actor subsequently took some time off from the show to battle addiction issues in rehab and he became front page news once again last month (Oct10) when police were called to investigate reports he trashed his New York hotel room. The night ended with the star being admitted to hospital after allegedly suffering "an adverse reaction to medication".
But the show’s creator Chuck Lorre insists he treasures his lead actor despite his highly-publicised problems, because he "built" the whole series around Sheen.
And Lorre is adamant the actor never brings his private problems into the workplace.
He tells the Hollywood Reporter, "We built a show around him… He’s a worker amongst workers. His personal issues don’t come onto the stage, and he’s been a good partner for a long time."

CHARLIE SHEEN offered to pay a model $20,000 (£13,300) in cash to "cover everything" just hours after he reportedly trashed a hotel room in New York, according to a new report.
The Two And A Half Men actor made headlines last month (Oct10) when police were called to his suite at the Plaza Hotel in the Big Apple amid claims he wrecked a room during a night with Capri Anderson.
On Monday (22Nov10), Anderson broke her silence in a series of TV interviews, claiming she locked herself in the bathroom as Sheen hurled items around the room in a rage.
Sheen hit back, with his lawyers alleging Anderson used the incident to try to extort up to $1 million (£666,000) from the star - but a series of explosive new text messages obtained by TMZ.com is set to blow the lid on the aftermath of the incident.
In the exchange of messages, said to be between cell phones owned by Sheen and Anderson, the actor allegedly writes, "All I need is an Acct (account) number etc and I will wire u 20k if u think that will cover everything… I really feel bad, u are as cool and sexy and as sweet and fun and friendly as they get!… deal with me directly and I promise u kind lady, all will be restored and set straight." When Anderson tells Sheen she does not have a bank account, he reportedly replies, "Oh, well in that case, lemme (let me) put together a plan to get u square and flush. Can u tok (talk) for a sec now sweetie?" He later adds, "Good news! My asst (assistant) Rick is good friends with a cat (man) named Mark (surname withheld) in NY, he will get the wire, cash that b**ch, and deliver it to u where ever it’s convenient… I’ll get the ball rollin in am (the morning), and have data for u asap after that." Anderson then asks if the money can be left with bank staff for her to collect, and Sheen allegedly replies, "Of course, whatever makes u feel better." No money changed hands between Sheen and Anderson following the discussion.

Pop stars including RIHANNA, the JONAS BROTHERS, and LEONA LEWIS have spoken out to show their support for an awards scheme honouring children who have battled cancer.
British charity Cancer Research UK launched its annual Little Star Awards earlier this month (Nov10), to give special recognition to under-18s who have bravely fought the killer disease.
And several stars have thrown their support behind the campaign, insisting it’s essential to raise awareness of research and improve survival rates.
Umbrella hitmaker Rihanna says, "The children that the Little Star awards celebrate really are special. They’ve been through so much at such a young age and the way they cope with it is a real inspiration to me. I’m so honoured to be able to support this campaign. I know that incredible advances have been made in treatments for children’s cancer, but we still need to do more to raise awareness and improve survival even more." The Jonas Brothers say, "We are delighted to be supporting Cancer Research UK’s Little Star Awards. It’s so important to recognise the bravery of children who have been diagnosed with cancer - every one of them is a hero to us." And Bleeding Love singer Lewis adds, "I am delighted to be helping to celebrate the courage of children with cancer by backing Cancer Research UK’s Little Star Awards. More children than ever before are surviving cancer thanks to research and I believe the awards are a great way of raising awareness and highlighting the progress that is being made."

ANGELINA JOLIE is shooting her new movie twice so she can release the film in two languages.
The Hollywood actress has stepped behind the camera to make her directorial debut with the currently untitled picture, a love story set against the backdrop of the Bosnian war.
Jolie has been filming in eastern Europe with local actors and admits she’s made them shoot all of their scenes twice, so they end up with two complete films - one in English and one in the stars’ native language.
She tells Hungarian website Vasarnapi Hirek, "We shot two complete films. I was only able to do it because the actors were so fluent in English so they were willing to work hard and do the scenes in two languages.
"It’s shot in colour but it could transfer to black and white. We haven’t decided that. We put a series of pictures together in black and white and it was beautiful." And Jolie hopes film fans don’t find the story "too heavy" because she wants the movie to be "accessible" to all.
She adds, "The important thing is I want to make sure that we make a film for people who just want to go to the movies to watch a love story. To not be put off by anything that seems too heavy. We want to walk that fine line to make it accessible to everybody because it’s important for as many people to see it (as possible)."

MISCHA BARTON’s car has broken down again, leaving the actress stranded for the third time in six months.
The O.C. star’s beloved bright blue Cadillac suffered engine problems on Monday (22Nov10) as she drove through Los Angeles.
The car ground to a halt in the middle of the city’s busy Robertson Boulevard, but she was able to steer the unreliable vehicle to a nearby garage in Beverly Hills.
Barton left the car with mechanics and walked to her destination.
She bought the car in February (10) for $15,000 (£10,000) and the vehicle suffered two major breakdowns over the summer(10).

PRINCE WILLIAM and his bride-to-be KATE MIDDLETON chose an extra-special date for their nuptials - the day of the Feast of St Catherine.
The couple announced on Tuesday (23Nov10) they will wed at London’s Westminster Abbey on 29 April next year (11) following their engagement last month (Oct10).
And it later emerged they chose a date that reflects Middleton’s real first name Catherine - 29 April is the date of the Feast of Saint Catherine of Siena, lauded as one of the greatest female saints of the Catholic Church.
William’s private secretary Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton says, "They’re on cloud nine like any other newly engaged couple and they’re now getting stuck into organising their wedding. They are completely over the moon - I’ve never seen two happier people which is fabulous.
"The couple have chosen to be married at Westminster Abbey on the Feast of St Catherine on Friday 29th April. The couple were moved to choose the venue because of its staggering beauty, its 1,000 years of royal history and its relative intimacy despite its size." It has also been confirmed Brits will be able to enjoy the wedding in full - the U.K. government has declared 29 April, 2011 a national holiday.

MARK WAHLBERG has cleared up reports linking him to the lead role in a remake of THE CROW, insisting he has not been cast in the film.
The actor was said to have been in talks to reprise Brandon Lee’s character of Eric Draven in a new version of the 1994 comic book cult classic, but he admits he passed on the project.
He tells Cinematical.com, "We never committed to making the movie. They talked to me about it and there was a director attached who I was a fan of, and he’s no longer doing it. We just thought about it: ‘Is there something cool to be done there?’ But we’re not committed to making the movie." The original film, which starred martial arts legend Bruce Lee’s son Brandon, was marred by tragedy - Lee was accidentally shot and killed in North Carolina during the shoot.

CHRISTINA AGUILERA has a scary encounter every Halloween - she is visited by drunken fans of her home’s former owner, OZZY OSBOURNE.
The singer snapped up the Beverly Hills mansion in 2007 after Ozzy and his wife Sharon put the property on the market.
But Aguilera admits the couple’s antics on their MTV reality show The Osbournes ensures she’s constantly bombarded by fans of the rocker.
She says, "They had some shenanigans - there’s some crazy history with that house. People are ringing the doorbell and you don’t know if they’re Ozzy fans or my fans.
"Halloween is when you get the real drunk Ozzy fans and some crazy things happened that way. They threw like a turkey or a ham over to their neighbour’s yard (in the show) and sometimes we literally get people that throw food over to our front door and I’m like, ‘Do they hate me or do they hate Ozzy?’"

British singer CHERYL COLE is the celebrity most idolised by kids - beating out competition from LADY GAGA, BEYONCE, and DAVID BECKHAM in a new poll.
The Girls Aloud star topped a survey by online video network Parentchannel.tv to find the showbiz icon most children consider the perfect role model.
She polled almost a quarter of the votes, ahead of soccer ace Beckham in second with 14 per cent and Poker Face hitmaker Gaga, who was third with more than nine per cent.
Rapper Dizzee Rascal is fourth with 7.4 per cent, and Britney Spears comes in fifth with almost three per cent of the votes.

WILL SMITH became NICK CANNON’s money mentor when the star was a teenager - because he was wasting his pay cheques on "frivolous, unintelligent" purchases.
Cannon was a millionaire music star by the age of 18, but frittered the cash away on luxury cars and jewellery.
He worked with his friend Smith on a TV show in 2001 and Cannon learned a valuable lesson about money from his pal.
Cannon tells the Wall Street Journal, "I became a millionaire and went broke all before the age of 19. I spent it right away and did a lot of frivolous, unintelligent things with the money.
"I bought jewellery and Range Rovers… instead of buying property I was leasing the most expensive property, and then you turn around and you owe the government 44 per cent of what you made and you don’t understand that, even when people you tell that.
"One of those who was a mentor to me at that young age and opened a lot of doors was Will Smith. I remember when I was going to buy the Range Rover he said, ‘Man, don’t go buy that, you don’t need that’.
"He was someone who made $1 million and lost it at a young age, so you got to pay attention to the people who came before you."

DIANE KEATON and HARRISON FORD gained a new-found respect for TV presenters after attending a boot camp for newsreaders in preparation for their roles in MORNING GLORY.

They know how to make you comfortable, they know how to get you through the four to seven minutes they’re going to spend with you, they understand why you’ve come - to sell your movie. JLS star ASTON MERRYGOLD is planning to celebrate the band’s number one single LOVE YOU MORE with a new tattoo.
The four-piece topped the U.K. charts with the charity track, this year’s (10) Children in Need song, on Sunday (21Nov10) and Merrygold has vowed to get a new inking of a star to mark the feat.
He already sports a number of tattoos - and he reveals many of them are linked to momentous times in the British boyband.
