TAYLOR’S TWEET SENT FANS INTO A FRENZY FOR FREE BUS-TOP GIG

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:39 am

TAYLOR SWIFT was stunned by the turn-out of fans at her impromptu open-top bus gig in Hollywood last month (Oct10) - she only gave them an hour’s notice via a tweet.
The country star hit the streets of Los Angeles on top of a bus adorned with her face as part of a promotional tour for her new album Speak Now. The stunt was filmed for her TV special which aired in America on Thursday night (25Nov10).
And she admits she feared she’d be playing to just a handful of people outside the Kodak Theatre - but thousands showed up.
She says, "I didn’t say if we were performing or anything like that, I was very vague. I really didn’t know if anybody was gonna show up, or if maybe it would be like 50 people or something.
"We rolled up on this giant bus with my face on it and all of a sudden the streets are filled with people, the sidewalks are packed, there are people up on balconies.
"I have never experienced anything like that."

ARONOFSKY QUIZZED SPRINGSTEEN OVER ONE-LEGGED DOG LINE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:38 am

Moviemaker DARREN ARONOFSKY was so confused about a one-legged dog line in the song BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN wrote for his film THE WRESTLER, he confronted The Boss about the idea.
The director loved the theme song Springsteen wrote especially for his film, but couldn’t understand one line.
He says, "When we made The Wrestler I got to hang out a little bit with him and there’s a line in the song The Wrestler: ‘Like a one-legged dog walking down the street.’ When we were mixing the song Bruce wasn’t around and we were like, ‘What the hell’s a one-legged down walking down the street?’ "I could picture a three-legged dog or two-legged dog. So the night he won a Golden Globe for the song, I had a couple of drinks in me and I was sitting next to him and I was like, ‘With all humility and honour to who you are, what the hell is a one-legged dog walkin’ down the street?’ "He said, ‘Art often comes out of the mistakes and that’s when the poetry comes alive and you have to welcome them.’"

FELTON DISTANCES HIMSELF FROM POTTER LOVE CHILD RUMOURS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:37 am

HARRY POTTER star TOM FELTON has laughed off internet rumours he has fathered a secret love child.
The British actor found himself embroiled in the scandal when an anonymous postcard featuring a photo of Felton alongside Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and four of their Deathly Hallows: Part 1 co-stars was posted online on 21 November (10).
The picture was accompanied by the caption: "One of these men is the father of the most amazing little girl in the world. He’s never met her. He never will. He probably can’t even remember my name." Speculation as to who the baby’s father could be was rife as Potter fans attempted to solve the mystery, but 23-year-old Felton, who is dating film assistant Jade Olivia, has denied any involvement in the claims.
Taking to his Twitter.com page, he writes, "My friend just found this on the web! Just to confirm that I can be cancelled out of this equation." His movie colleagues Oliver and James Phelps, who play twins George and Fred Weasley respectively, have also moved to distance themselves from the controversy.
Oliver writes on his Twitter blog, "Apart from making me laugh, I can honestly say it’s 100 per cent not me." James adds, "To clear things up, this isn’t me. Funny, but nothing to do with me." Radcliffe, Grint, Jason Isaacs and Alan Rickman, the other two actors featured on the postcard, have yet to comment on the claims, reports UsMagazine.com.

RODRIGUEZ HAPPY TO BE HOLLYWOOD BAD GIRL

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:18 pm

MICHELLE RODRIGUEZ has no qualms about carving out a career as Hollywood’s bad girl, insisting she would rather be typecast as "too hardcore" than play a sex object.
The actress made her debut playing a female boxer in 2000 drama Girlfight and has since made a name for herself portraying headstrong women in the Fast and the Furious franchise, Machete and Avatar.
But Rodriguez insists she’d sooner take on repetitive roles than be cast solely for her sex appeal.
She tells Britain’s Total Film, "My entire career is made up of those girl-power moments. I don’t mind typecasting because I know what the alternative is. I’m trying to create roles that are the perfect balance between man and woman. The scripts are all butch b**ches, all d**ed out, way too hardcore - but y’know, if it’s that or sucking some guy’s c**k in a movie… then give me the gun, honey.
"I’m not looking at what everyone else is doing. There’s tons of sex and hot girls - I could do that, but it’s done. Stick a fork in it!"

MORIARTY JOINED DE NIRO’S BINGES

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:15 pm

CATHY MORIARTY showed ROBERT DE NIRO moral support by joining him in junk food binges on the set of RAGING BULL - but quit when she piled on the pounds.
De Niro famously put on five stone (70 pounds) to play fallen boxer Jake LaMotta in the 1980 movie, and Moriarty - who played his wife, Vikki - gorged on her favourite cheesecake and milkshakes to support her co-star’s efforts.
But the actress, who was just 18 when she was cast in the role, eventually had to leave De Niro to binge on his own - because the fatty diet was ruining her figure.
She tells BlackBookMag.com, "I played (Vikki) from ages 15 to 35, so it was kind of hard. But it was a hell of a lot harder for Bob to gain all of that weight. As he transitioned, he started drinking milkshakes and eating cheesecake, which I loved having also. Then I realised my a** was getting fat and I told him he had to gain the weight by himself!"

PALTROW’S DAUGHTER PLEADED FOR PIERCED EARS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:13 pm

GWYNETH PALTROW allowed her daughter APPLE to get her ears pierced at the age of five because the youngster spent years begging for the style statement.
The actress’ eldest child with husband Chris Martin was desperate to wear earrings after discovering Spanish children have their ears pierced as babies.
And the six year old relentlessly pleaded with her parents until they allowed her to sport real studs in her ears.
Paltrow tells Hello! Canada, "We’re strict with them to an extent, but we also try to be respectful of who they are and work with them when they really want something.
"For instance, Apple had been wanting to get her ears pierced from the age of two. Our nanny is Spanish and in Spain girls get their ears pierced when they’re born. Apple would see little Spanish girls and say, ‘Why can’t I have my ears pierced, too?’ So when she was five we let her have her ears pierced.’"

PINK FLOYD SCRAP SECRET CHARITY REUNION SHOW

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:10 pm

A rare PINK FLOYD reunion show has been scrapped after the bandmates learned British socialite JEMIMA KHAN was hosting the gig.
Roger Waters, David Gilmour and Nick Mason were all set to come together for the charity show until they discovered where it was to be held.
Mason tells British newspaper The Independent, "That particular event wasn’t right for a reformation of Pink Floyd. I said I would do it, but it was a charity event for suits, and it felt wrong to turn a small thing into a big deal just because Jemima Khan was in attendance.
"Why play for a lot of posh totty (women) instead of some of the other things we should save that up for." It would have been the group’s first reunion in five years.
Reunion rumours have been rife since Waters and Gilmour put aside their longtime feud to perform together at an exclusive charity event in England in July (10).

HUDGENS ENJOYED GRUELLING SUCKER PUNCH TRAINING

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:10 pm

HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL star VANESSA HUDGENS was surprised by her own strength as she trained for new action movie SUCKER PUNCH - she could lift more than her own body weight.

The petite star trained with a team of experienced Navy officers for the role but admits she eventually grew to enjoy the punishing fitness regime after excelling in her gym sessions.
She tells Britain’s Total Film, "I really loved it (training). One of the most valuable things I learned was this thing we call ‘finding the beast’ when you’re working out and you’re at the point where you think you’re going to give up.
"It’s that moment of turning your mind off that just makes you power through and know that you can do anything. I was deadlifting like 180 pounds!"

RYDER FELT PAIN THROUGH AGE OF INNOCENCE CORSET

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:07 pm

WINONA RYDER has credited her tight corsets with fuelling her performance in THE AGE OF INNOCENCE by allowing her to channel her character’s emotional turmoil.
The actress insists her restrictive costume allowed her to give an authentic performance as a socialite engaged to a lawyer, played by Daniel Day-Lewis, in the 1993 period drama.
And despite feeling uncomfortable throughout the entire shoot, Ryder admits she is grateful for the painful garments.
She tells Britain’s Total Film magazine, "The corsets are a tremendous help to the performance, because you’re playing a repressed person and you can feel the pain that they endured. My waist had to be 19 inches and they had to measure me every day. I would be on the floor and they would pull the strings until it was 19 inches.
"Daniel would wear his clothes home, he was very in character and I was like, ‘You have no idea the pain I’m in right now!’ But if I did it again I would want it the same way because it made my performance."
