MUSICIAN CHRISTOPHERSON DIES AT 55

British musician and visual artist PETER ‘SLEAZY’ CHRISTOPHERSON has died, aged 55.
Christopherson, who has designed iconic artwork on albums for artists including Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin, passed away in his sleep at his home in Bangkok, Thailand on Wednesday (24Nov10).
The songwriter played in numerous bands throughout the 1970s and 1980s, including Coil and Throbbing Gristle, before moving on to visual arts.
He also notably took the first promotional photographs for the Sex Pistols and created a controversial window display for Malcolm Mclaren and designer Vivienne Westwood’s shop, SEX.
Christopherson and his Throbbing Gristle bandmate Genesis P-Orridge created psychedelic artistic group Psychic TV in the 1980s, while he was also a partner in album cover design group Hipgnosis.
He reformed Throbbing Gristle in 2004.
