MARTIN UPSET AUCTION HOUSE BOSSES WITH BOOK PLOT

Posted in: Uncategorized — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:13 pm

Bosses at top auction house Sotheby’s were a little unhappy about the premise of STEVE MARTIN’s new novel - because the respected firm features in a storyline about fraud.
The Pink Panther star’s An Object of Beauty follows a young art dealer who begins working for Sotheby’s in New York and moves on to open her own gallery.
But Sotheby’s executives were not happy to hear about one small part of the book, where one of their employees attempts to pull off a bidding scheme at the auction house.
Martin tells the New York Times, "They were a little nervous that a fraud takes place on the premises, but I convinced them that they come out to be heroes."
