KWANTEN STUDIES MANSON FOR NEW MOVIE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:03 pm

TRUE BLOOD star RYAN KWANTEN has become a CHARLES MANSON expert as he prepares to play the convicted serial killer and cult leader in a new biopic.
The Aussie star admits he thought he knew the Manson story but has come to realise most of the information he had on the sick killer was either bogus or a stretch of his own imagination.
He tells WENN, "I’m discovering that the little that I knew about him was amplified by my imagination and I became carried me away to places that weren’t necessarily based in fact.
"I think a lot of people have done that with Manson, so it’s interesting to sort of go in and realise why he had such a collection of followers." And one of Kwanten’s big realisations about the real Manson is the serial killer’s height, or rather lack of it: "He’s a lot smaller than me; he was only 5′2” or 5′3”."

CAREY & CANNON OPEN UP ABOUT MISCARRIAGE MISERY

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:30 pm

Pregnant MARIAH CAREY and her husband NICK CANNON have opened up about the heartache of miscarriage after losing their first baby in 2008.
The couple broke the baby news on U.S. TV early on Thursday (28Oct10) and took time to talk about the miscarriage misery that ruined Christmas two years ago.
Carey and Cannon were just about to fly out to meet family and friends at their Aspen, Colorado retreat - and reveal they were about to become parents - when a last-minute doctors appointment floored them.
Speaking on U.S. news show Access Hollywood Live, Cannon recalls, "Literally, the day we were supposed to travel to Aspen we had an ultrasound… and unfortunately that was a time where he (doctor) said, ‘I’m sorry but the pregnancy is unsuccessful.’" The actor/entertainer admits he marvelled at his wife’s strength throughout that Christmas - as he put on a brave face, so as not to alert anyone to what had happened.
Cannon adds, "Even though it was emotional for both of us, that’s when I really saw the strength in this woman right here. She just handled it so well. And then to get on a plane and have to spend Christmas with friends and family, and no one knew. I felt like everybody was kind of speculating.
"Literally, in a magazine, it said, ‘They’re gonna let everyone know during the holiday.’" "She was so festive and smiling, obviously for the cameras, and spending time with everyone - and then, literally, at night, (she was) crying herself to sleep." Meanwhile, Carey insists the miscarriage helped the couple grow as people and turned them into an invincible force of nature: "It was really sad. We had really to absorb this… We really learned a lot just as people.
"It was even more of, like, preparing us to do this because of the way it happened so quickly at first. I think I was sort of in shock ‘cos I didn’t expect it (pregnancy)… and then when that happened and I wasn’t able to even talk to anybody about it, that was not OK, that was not easy.
"I’ve never really been a very forthcoming person about my personal stuff; it’s just not my thing. But, honestly, to me, this type of thing is like, ‘Ew, weird! Why do I have to talk about this in front of the world?’ "It’s even strange for me to talk to people I know about it, because I just never did. It kind of shook us both and took us to a place that was really dark and difficult."
