HILARY DUFF is ready to write her second novel - despite only releasing her debut book earlier this month (Oct10).
The singer/actress signed a deal to release her teen mystery tome Elixir earlier this year (10) and is currently on a book tour of the U.S. promoting her first literary work.
And after receiving great feedback from fans who have already devoured the story, Duff will sit down and begin writing her second title in a matter of weeks.
In a post on her Twitter.com page, she writes, "Can’t believe so many people have read the book already! Yipeeee! Starting the next one in two weeks." Elixir tells the tale of a photographer who uncovers the mystery of her father’s disappearance.

British rapper PROFESSOR GREEN turned his back on a life of crime after he was scared straight by a "swat squad" arrest.
The hip-hop star, real name Stephen Manderson, was raised in London’s tough Hackney area and worked as a drug dealer before he was signed to The Streets star Mike Skinner’s label.
And he’s convinced he would have turned into a hardened criminal if he hadn’t been arrested at the age of 21.
He recalls, "I was involved in stuff at the same time that I started making music. I wasn’t small time. It wasn’t a bit of petty cash. It was quite a serious thing. Then, in 2005 I was raided by a swat squad and I was arrested for something. That was my first arrest. They do things properly. I was arrested for suspicion of kidnap, false imprisonment and possession. But I got a ‘no further action’ because it was wrong place, wrong time.
"That happened as I was negotiating a deal with Mike Skinner’s label and that was a big wake-up call."

MADINA LAKE rocker MATTHEW LEONE is suffering vertigo and facial paralysis as he battles to recover from a devastating assault earlier this year (10).
The bassist was hospitalised in Chicago, Illinois in July (10) after he was beaten unconscious as he attempted to break up a violent domestic dispute between two strangers.
He underwent life-saving surgery to reduce swelling on his brain and treat his fractured skull - and the rocker has now revealed the full extent of his health issues as he recovers at home in Chicago.
Leone admits he’s "frustrated" that his brain functioning has been affected by the attack, leaving him prone to bouts of tiredness and unable to rejoin the band for live shows.
But he’s determined to return to full health and has already started playing his beloved bass, which he admits is keeping his spirit alive.
Leone tells Kerrang! magazine, "I get so frustrated with being sidelined from my life, my career, and my relationship, so from time to time I’ll try to act normal and then I have to go to bed for a few days.
"The toughest part is that I can’t tour or do anything physical at the moment, which is a huge bummer. I have several months of intense rehabilitation ahead of me and I’m just hoping for the best." Detailing the effects of the assault on his health, Leone adds: "I have good days and bad days. I have vertigo, part of my face is paralysed, and I have questionable memory and neurological function. My brain tissue is damaged badly, so my head will fill up with blood if I try to jog, or even lie down.
"I can’t open my mouth wide enough to take a reasonable bite of food. My motor skills are hanging in there, so I try to focus on the positive; I can play bass, I can walk and talk and, for now, that is satisfying."

GUNS N’ ROSES took to the stage in Manchester, England on Monday night (18Oct10) to a chorus of boos from infuriated fans who had been left waiting for more than 90 minutes.
The band is currently touring the U.K. but the shows have been marred by late appearances from the rockers, who are facing a massive $108,000 (£72,000) fine for breaking their curfew at London’s O2 Arena last Thursday (14Oct10). They were also forced offstage in Ireland recently after the irritated audience pelted them with bottles.
Axl Rose’s group delayed the start of yet another concert on Monday, kicking off their show at the M.E.N. Arena an hour-and-a-half behind schedule and playing more than two hours past their 11pm finish time.
The band was fiercely booed by the crowd, many of whom had to leave the show before the end to catch public transport home.
But a representative for the venue has revealed the band will probably escape a financial penalty over the incident as the arena holds a 24-hour entertainment licence.
The representative tells the Manchester Evening News, "The M.E.N Arena holds a 24-hour entertainment licence. However, to tie in with local transport links, we always ask that shows finish by 11pm. The majority of acts comply with this policy, however Guns N’ Roses have a well-publicised history of late performances of which their fans are fully aware. Last night’s late finish would have been no surprise to the majority of fans."

KATY PERRY has begged for privacy as she jets out to India to wed fiance RUSSELL BRAND - dispelling rumours they are already married.
The British funnyman sparked speculation he had wed the I Kissed a Girl hitmaker in secret after he was spotted out and about in London on Tuesday (19Oct10) wearing a gold band on his ring finger.
But friends of Brand insist it’s merely his favourite piece of jewellery which he often sports on the third finger of his left hand - and their planned ceremony in Jaipur, India on Saturday (23Oct10) is still scheduled to go ahead.
The couple was later pictured arriving at London’s Heathrow Airport to fly out of Britain - and hours later, Perry posted a message on her Twitter.com page asking for "respect" during their "private" moment and warning fans not to believe "false" rumours.

Actress SADIE FROST needed emergency medical treatment at the weekend (16-17Oct10) after nearly hacking off her finger while preparing a family meal.
Jude Law’s ex-wife was chopping ingredients for a meal on Sunday (17Oct10) when she slashed the digit, which was left hanging off.
The actress was taken to a London hospital where doctors saved her finger with 10 stitches, according to Britain’s The Sun.
The accident has forced Frost to scrap all upcoming work commitments on doctors’ orders.
A spokesperson for the star tells the publication, "Sadie has been told to rest and put all working commitments on hold."

TRANSFORMERS star RACHAEL TAYLOR relied on the support of her mother and girl pals to help her move on from the alleged abuse she suffered at the hands of ex-fiance MATTHEW NEWTON.
The actress broke off the engagement over the summer (10) and ordered her lawyer to go to court in her native Australia to apply for an apprehended violence order (AVO) against the star.
Taylor alleges she suffered several "unprovoked violent assaults" at the hands of the Underbelly: A Tale of Two Cities actor during a vacation in Italy in August (10).
And she reveals she turned to her female inner-circle after her ordeal in a bid to overcome the troubled relationship.

Former supermodel PAULINA PORIZKOVA has described the pain and frustration of losing her looks in the ageing process - insisting she has felt "invisible" since she turned 40 years old.
Porizkova shot to fame in the 1980s and became one of the world’s highest paid models, gracing the covers of the most high profile fashion magazines and spending seven years as the face of cosmetics giant Estee Lauder.
The 45 year old has stepped away from modelling in recent years, turning to TV instead with a regular role as a judge on America’s Next Top Model and a stint on Dancing With The Stars.
Porizkova now admits she misses her days as a model and feels "sad" her beauty has faded.
She tells the New York Post, "Nothing ages as poorly as a beautiful woman’s ego. When you have used your beauty to get around, it’s like having extra cash in your pocket. I was so used to walking down the street and having the young guys passing by at least give me a flicker of a look. But once you’re over 40, you become invisible. You’re a brick in the building and it’s sad. It just feels like the sun went down a little bit. It got a little cloudy outside." But the former supermodel is adamant she would not consider cosmetic surgery to regain her youthful appearance, insisting her former catwalk pal Janice Dickinson looks worse since she went under the knife.
Porizkova adds, "She was one of the most beautiful girls you’ve ever seen in your whole life. Now she looks like a transvestite."

JOSEPH GORDON-LEVITT has cancelled a film event sponsored by his production company as he continues to mourn the death of his brother.
The Inception star was devastated when his older sibling Dan passed away earlier this month (Oct10) at the age of 36, and he paid tribute to his "super hero brother".
The actor was due to host Fall Formal for his online collaborative production site, HitRECord.org, at New York City’s Town Hall Theater on 28 October (10), but the event has been called off in the wake of the tragedy.
Gordon-Levitt has released a statement explaining the cancellation, admitting he is struggling to cope and feels "less than capable" of doing any work.
In a message on his website, he writes, "I have some regrettable news regarding the Fall Formal. As you might know, these past two weeks have been the worst of my life. To those contributing tribute RECords re: my brother Dan, you have my deepest gratitude.
"I’m eager to get back to work, but I also feel like I’ve just had an arm chopped off and so I’m finding myself less than capable these days.
"I’ve considered various possibilities on how to make the show happen another way - the Town Hall Theater has been so accommodating in figuring this out with us. But in the end, I just don’t feel up to it right now and have decided to cancel the show.
"Chin up, there’s still much to do and a bright future ahead." Tickets purchased for the gala will be refunded in full.

SIR MICK JAGGER’s ex-mistress LUCIANA MORAD is pregnant with her second child.
The Brazilian beauty, who is the mother of Jagger’s 11-year-old son Lucas, is expecting husband Marcelo de Carvalho’s baby. The couple wed in 2006.
The baby, due early in 2011, will be television presenter Morad and entertainment mogul de Carvalho’s first child together.
The TV boss has three children from his first marriage.
Morad’s romance with Jagger in the late 1990s, which resulted in her falling pregnant with the rocker’s son, has often been blamed for the break-up of the Rolling Stones star’s marriage to model Jerry Hall.

Moviemaker JAMES CAMERON has confirmed he’s in talks to make a 3D CLEOPATRA movie with ANGELINA JOLIE as his leading lady.
The Avatar and Titanic director tells the New York Times he wants Jolie to play the Egyptian queen in an epic new blockbuster.
He says, "There’s a Cleopatra project in the works, meaning that it’s been in development at Sony. And it’s a subject that’s always fascinated me.
"It sounds hot, doesn’t it? I mean, Angelina Jolie and Cleopatra? To me, that’s like a slam dunk. Whether I wind up doing it or not, I think it’s going to be a great project." Jolie, who is currently making her directorial debut in Europe with a controversial new war film, recently told UsMagazine.com she "would be honoured" to play Cleopatra when rumours of the project first circulated.

Moviemaker TYLER PERRY has revealed opening up about his hellish and abusive childhood on pal OPRAH WINFREY’s TV show was like a therapy session.
In a taped chat with Winfrey, which will air on her show in America on Wednesday (20Oct10), the actor/director choked back tears and struggled to compose himself as he talked about his violent upbringing publicly for the first time.
Perry first revealed all about his troubled youth in a post on his website last year (09) and he told Winfrey it was Mo’Nique’s Oscar-winning portrayal of a violent mum in Precious that brought all the bad memories flooding back.
He said, "Mo’Nique’s character is my father… Every word (he said to me) was, ‘You stupid motherf**ker…’ He hated me so much and I couldn’t understand why." As well as regular beatings from his father, Perry has revealed he was sexually assaulted by male and female family friends - and he opened up about a suicide attempt, telling Winfrey he slit his wrists: "I was suicidal because I thought, ‘What is the point of living?’" Regular trips to church with his desperate mother eventually gave him the faith he needed to survive.
Speaking after his chat with Oprah, the Why Did I Get Married? director told reporters he’s glad he opened up: "That was the only person that I felt comfortable enough to talk (to) about so much sensitive stuff… I really had a cathartic cleanse. It was good for me."

DAVID ARQUETTE is taking his mind off the breakdown of his marriage to COURTENEY COX by leading a campaign against a suspension of California’s greenhouse gas emissions law.
The Scream star, who announced his split from Cox earlier this month (Oct10), is starring in a series of online promos in protest against Proposition 23 - which will halt the state’s 2006 law promising to reduce greenhouse gases by 2020.
In the video, titled Don’t Mess With California, Arquette plays the role of California and lashes out at a group of thugs representing the oil barons who have allegedly funded Proposition 23.
Producers of the promo are hoping the online format will win over young voters who are not drawn in by traditional advertisements.

JENNIFER LOPEZ temporarily moved her family in with her best friend LEAH REMINI last Christmas (09) after finding herself in between homes while her new Los Angeles mansion was under renovation.
The Get Right hitmaker and her husband Marc Anthony own properties across the U.S., but they were briefly without a home on the west coast late last year - so actress Remini and her husband Angelo Pagan opened their place up to the superstar couple for the holidays.
Explaining the living situation to the ladies of new U.S. daytime show The Talk on Tuesday (19Oct10), on which Remini is a co-host, Lopez explained, "We were moving into another house which we just moved into this year and so our other house was all messed up and over Christmas last year and through the holidays.
"We were homeless for like, three months I would say. Not homeless - we went to our place in New York. Marc has a place in New York, but then we had to come back here (to Los Angeles) for work and it’s a big operation - it’s me, it’s the twins, it’s the nanny." But Lopez embarrassed the King of Queens star when she admitted Remini’s obsession with cleanliness and neatness had started to drive her mad.
She added, "Everything is meticulous (in Remini’s house) which can be a lot sometimes… You leave a cup (on the table), she picks it up…
"She tries to create the most beautiful experience for you in her home (but) we only stayed there for a little while."

MATTHEW MCCONAUGHEY has made his music video directorial debut after taking charge of country star JAMEY JOHNSON’s new promo for PLAYING THE PART.
The Sahara star jumped behind the camera to call the shots on the set in late September (10), and he’s thrilled with the end product.
He says, "Jamey and this song both have a great sense of humour, so I wanted the video to have a wink to it.
"For any video, if you like the song, you should like it even more after you see the video. I wanted this video to support the lyrics, and elevate the song… I started out with a 250-pound stripper leaving work in the morning, and ended up with a man in a gorilla suit getting fired from a used tyre store." Music fan McConaughey, who has his own record label, first tracked down Johnson after falling for his In Color ballad.
He recalls, "It was echoing from this tiny radio… We didn’t know what artist it was, so we looked it up and it was Jamey. I went immediately and bought Jamey’s album and said, ‘This album is an instant classic.’" The two stars met at the 2009 Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas, where Johnson received the Song of the Year award for In Color.
McConaughey chuckles, "I met Jamey backstage, he hit on (my girlfriend) Camila (Alves), we shared a few laughs, and we stayed in touch." Alves then asked Johnson to perform at the actor’s surprise 40th birthday party.
