GARRETT’S MISSING MILLIONS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:35 pm

Fallen pop star LEIF GARRETT is convinced he was cheated out of a multi-million dollar fortune because his finances were "badly" mismanaged at the height of his career.
The singer signed a deal with Atlantic Records in 1976 to record his first album, Leif Garrett, and became a sensation when 1979 hit I Was Made For Dancin’ topped America’s music charts.
The 48 year old - now more famous for his legal woes and his long-running battle with drug addiction - says he made a lot of money as a teen idol, but he hasn’t seen most of his earnings.
He tells U.S. breakfast programme Good Morning America, "I was completely ripped off badly. I saw very little of it."

SWIFT DOUBTS SHE WILL EVER MARRY

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:32 pm

Country star TAYLOR SWIFT is unsure if she will ever settle down - because she’s not convinced marriage is worth the struggle.
The Love Story hitmaker has enjoyed a string of romances with stars including Joe Jonas and Taylor Lautner, but admits she’s not keen on the idea of walking down the aisle.
However, Swift still hopes to find a partner worthy of a long term commitment.
She tells America’s Parade magazine: "I’ve seen marriages be really great, and I’ve seen them be not so great. I’ve seen that people have to really work through love and fight for it, and I’ve been in relationships where you have to fight for it. And is it worth it? "I don’t think that love can possibly be easy all the time, in fact, most of the time it’s going to be hard. I think it’s important to try to find someone who’s going to tell you, ‘This is worth it,’ when you’re scared, and tell you, ‘I’m never leaving you,’ when you’re doubting it. I think that’s the most important thing."

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:32 pm

Singer BRANDY has been single for six years and admits "it’s been a long time" since she last had sex.
The Never Say Never hitmaker, who is currently enjoying a stint on U.S. TV show Dancing With The Stars, has opened up about her disappointing love life, revealing she hasn’t had a boyfriend in years.
Brandy insists she rarely gets close to a man if she isn’t in a relationship and as a result, she has "abstained" from sex.
She tells Life & Style magazine, "I haven’t been with a man seriously and in love in six years. And, honestly, I tend to abstain if I’m not in a relationship. It’s been a long time (since I last had sex). We’re talking years." And the singer insists a mild flirtation with rapper Flo Rida didn’t lead to a romance: "I was very interested in him. I mean, how can you not be - he’s very attractive. But there was just something about us that didn’t click."

LEONE DIED ON OPERATING TABLE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:29 pm

MADINA LAKE rocker MATTHEW LEONE died several times on the operating table as surgeons battled to save him following a savage beating.
The bassist was attacked in his native Chicago, Illinois in July (10) after he intervened in a domestic dispute between two strangers.
Now he’s revealed he was so badly injured, he "flatlined" several times during surgery to his fractured skull - and experienced "peace and an energy" as his life slipped away.
Leone tells Kerrang! magazine, "I was 15 minutes away from (dying), and then the surgeons sawed my dome (head) open because I had extreme internal brain haemorrhaging… I also had a few flatlines on the operating table, resulting in some metaphysical experiences that were wildly interesting to see and feel.
"I didn’t see the pearly white gates with my mom and my bunnies waiting for me, but I did manage to see, feel and connect to a peace and an energy that I never knew existed - that affected me profoundly." Leone is suffering vertigo and partial facial paralysis as he recuperates from the incident, but he’s aiming to be back on stage with his Madina Lake bandmates early next year (11).
He adds, "I have some intense rehabilitation ahead of me and I may have some more surgery, but my goal is to be back onstage by February and in the U.K. by March, when we release the new album World War III. I can’t wait to tour again!"

STEWART NOT INTIMIDATED BY GANDOLFINI

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:26 pm

KRISTEN STEWART had no problems working with JAMES GANDOLFINI in WELCOME TO THE RILEYS - because she had never seen him portray a tough mafia boss in THE SOPRANOS.
In the new drama, Stewart plays a troubled stripper, Mallory, who is befriended by Gandolfini’s lonely character, Doug.
Stewart insists she wasn’t frightened by her heavyweight co-star - famed for his role as mobster Tony Soprano - because she hadn’t seen an episode of his hit show.
But the Twilight star admits she now understands why her colleagues were so terrified of Gandolfini after finally sitting down with a Sopranos DVD.
Appearing on U.S. TV show LIVE! with Regis & Kelly, Stewart explains, "Everybody was so intimidated by (Gandolfini), it was so weird. The director Jake Scott - I love the guy, he’s incredible - he told us to basically try to have the dynamic that Mowgli and Baloo have in the Jungle Book. If you can imagine him being that and then being intimidated by him it doesn’t really go.
"When (The Sopranos) first came out, it was a while ago. I knew him from movies. So I didn’t have that (fear). I’ve seen it now!"

AXED OUTLAW FACING LAWSUIT

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:26 pm

TV bosses behind JIMMY SMITS’ cancelled drama series OUTLAW are facing legal action from an attorney who alleges he pitched a similar idea to executives at the NBC network in 2007.
Lawyer Larry Klayman claims to have joined forces with producer Cary Brokaw, former L.A. Law writer John Romano and Fox Television Studios executive Dave Madden to meet with NBC bosses to discuss the idea of a show based on a crusading attorney.
Klayman alleges Outlaw, which starred Smits as a Supreme Court Justice starting up his own law firm, was based on his concept and insists he even suggested the same name.
He is now considering taking legal action over the allegations, telling the New York Daily News, "I’m going to try to negotiate first, (but) I wouldn’t be Larry Klayman if I didn’t bring a lawsuit." Outlaw was axed earlier this month (Oct10) after just weeks on-air amid declining ratings.

WILLIS IS A PUSHOVER FOR DAUGHTERS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:23 pm

DIE HARD tough guy BRUCE WILLIS is not allowed to scare off young men who want to date his daughters - his girls refuse to let their "embarrassing" dad anywhere near their boyfriends.
The Hollywood action man and his ex-wife Demi Moore are parents to three girls, 22-year-old Rumer, 19-year-old Scout and Tallulah Belle, 16.
Willis always dreamed of the day when he could intimidate their suitors, but admits his daughters are in charge when it comes to their love lives.
He says, "I thought I’d get the opportunity to throw these kids around, slamming them up against the wall and crushing them. But my children dispelled that notion. They said, ‘No Dad, stop embarrassing us’ and the next thing you know they’re all in the pool whooping it up.
"I am so archaic when it comes to that. I’d like to think of myself as old-fashioned but there’s no place for it with my three girls. They just say I don’t understand what the dating world is like."

MAN WHO RUSHED YANKEE FIELD ‘OBSESSED WITH DIAZ’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:23 pm

A man who rushed the field at New York’s Yankee Stadium on Monday (18Oct10) wanted to confront baseball star ALEX RODRIGUEZ about his relationship with CAMERON DIAZ, according to a new report.
Grim LeRogue - who legally changed his named from Joe Rogan - was tackled by security guards after running from the stands and on to the pitch during the Yankees game.
According to the New York Post, the 33-year-old Bronx native was carrying photos of Rodriguez with an X drawn over his face, a gun pointed at his head and the message: "You have to go bud, you’ve ruined too many of our white queens".
Sources tell the publication LeRogue has an obsession with the infielder’s on-off girlfriend Diaz and held a picture of the blonde star with the inscription "We will be together soon" during the stunt.
LeRogue is also said to have been carrying several other worrying pictures - one image of Osama bin Laden allegedly bore the vow "I will serve you", while a photo of singer Whitney Houston was captioned "Whitney Bin Laden".

ELTON’S MUM PROFITS IN AUCTION

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:23 pm

SIR ELTON JOHN’s elderly mother raised $39,000 (£25,970) on Tuesday (19Oct10) by selling off her prized collection of the singer’s memorabilia.
Sheila Farebrother decided to put the treasures she has collected over four decades up for auction after downsizing into a smaller home.
The items included more than 100 gold and platinum discs, tour jackets and backstage passes the Rocket Man gave her.
A music box shaped like a piano, a gift from the rocker, fetched $1,886 (£1,257) while her personal record collection sold for $1,099 (£732).
Farebrother tells Sky News, "I am delighted with the success of the sale. His fans have been able to buy a slice of Elton history and the whole event has brought back some wonderful memories.
"When his career as a performer began to take off I would go along to his concerts and my main concern was that he wouldn’t forget any of his lyrics. It wasn’t until the concert in Madison Square Garden in 1974 when John Lennon made an appearance on stage and sang with Elton that I realised he had become a world superstar."

FOX STILL HAS FOND MEMORIES OF DATING KISS IDOL STANLEY

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:20 pm

Model-turned-singer and actress SAMANTHA FOX will always be grateful to KISS star PAUL STANLEY for showing her a great time during their brief fling in the late 1980s.
The Crazy Crazy Nights singer fell for the former topless model after meeting her in a New York recording studio, where she was recording an album with hip-hop act Full Force, and invited the busty Brit to tour with him - as his lover.
The romance fizzled out when Fox returned to Europe and lived as a tax exile in Spain - but she’ll always look back at the fast fling she had with her own rock hero.
She tells RockConfidential.com, "He ended up showing me the America I didn’t know… Paul was doing a short tour of the States (and) in between (recording) the album I went on tour with him and saw how he did things - the rock ‘n’ roll way. I had a great time with Paul and learned a lot from him. He’s a very talented guy.
"We had a great love affair. I went on tour for six months on a bus with a band. Me and Paul tried to see each other when we could. He was then on tour with KISS. After that tour I became a tax exile… (and) I went to live in Spain for a year and our love affair just kind of fizzled out.
"There were no arguments or bad feelings. It was just a case of being apart. I have great memories of Paul. He’s a really nice guy."
