RIHANNA is planning to hit the studio with British singer CHERYL COLE to record a new duet.
The Umbrella hitmaker recently lavished praise on the Girls Aloud star, calling her "the most beautiful woman I have ever seen".
The Bajan singer has reached out to Cole and put forward plans for a collaboration, and Cole admits she was stunned when she heard Rihanna’s suggestion.
She tells Britain’s Daily Mirror, "I couldn’t believe it when I heard Rihanna wanted to work with me. When I found out she wanted to collaborate, I got goosebumps all over." And Cole reveals they are planning to release a duet next year (11), adding: "We’re definitely doing something together next year. I’m totally up for it."

Media mogul OPRAH WINFREY is set to return to the big screen with two Oscar-winners after signing up to star in a new movie with SANDRA BULLOCK and MERYL STREEP.
The TV host, who was herself nominated for an Academy Award for her role in 1985’s The Color Purple, will appear in a currently-untitled new comedy created by Sex and The City writer Michael Patrick King.
Winfrey, Bullock and Meryl Streep will star in the film set around a home-shopping TV channel, following the three ladies who "make their way through the maze of mania that surrounds marketing, marriages and the media," according to a statement from the Universal film studio.
The role will be Winfrey’s first onscreen part since 1999’s Beloved.

The mother of ROD STEWART’s lovechild has spoken out about her long lost daughter - insisting she "doesn’t care" about the child she gave up for adoption.
The singer was just 17 years old when his girlfriend Susannah Boffey gave birth and the young couple decided to put the baby up for adoption.
Stewart has been in contact with his daughter, Sarah Streeter, in recent years and they are attempting to build a relationship.
The girl’s mother, now Susannah Hourde, has now opened up about the daughter she never knew, admitting she doesn’t want any contact with her because it would be "impossible" for them to reconcile.
She tells Britain’s Daily Mail, "I don’t care about Sarah any more. I used to but I don’t now… I think it’s almost impossible that we will be reconciled now. It’s all been so tough. There were attempted reconciliations and they didn’t go very well. It has all been very hard." And Hourde insists she is "very bored" of seeing Stewart’s private life in the news.
She adds, "I don’t see why his having another baby is news. I find the whole thing rather tedious. I am very bored of hearing about Rod. It’s really something I’d like to put behind me."

HAPPY MONDAYS star BEZ was threatened with arrest on Friday (22Oct10) after protesting in court when his appeal against an assault conviction was rejected.
In August (10), the British dancer/percussionist was found guilty of attacking his ex-girlfriend Monica Ward during a domestic dispute and was jailed for a month when he refused to carry out his community service sentence.
Bez - real name Mark Berry - walked free last month (Sep10) after serving just two weeks of his month-long sentence and he returned to court in Manchester, England on Friday (22Oct10) in a bid to have his conviction overturned.
The appeal at Manchester Crown Court was turned down and Bez reacted angrily, shouting at the judge and refusing to pay $750 (£500) court costs.
He yelled, "That’s a load of rubbish! It’s a joke. I’m going to take this to a higher court. I’m not paying nothing, I don’t give a s**t." Judge Roger Dutton criticised the star’s unruly behaviour and threatened to have him arrested unless he calmed down.
He said, "Mr Berry - be quiet. I’m rapidly losing my cool with you. You’re shouting and ranting. You’re making an exhibition of yourself… It seems you’re illustrating the sort of mood you get into when you’re angry. Stop it…
"I would be very careful what you choose to say. If you express yourself in that way again I will have you arrested." After the hearing Bez said in a statement, "I am disappointed at the appeal ruling and have undertaken this appeal to clear my name, nothing more." His solicitor, Peter Eatherall, adds, "Bez is Bez, there is nothing behind the curtain, that is how he is and what he is. But he is not a violent man."

SIGUR ROS star JONSI BIRGISSON has axed a series of in-store concerts across America after branding the intimate gigs "uncomfortable".
The Icelandic singer/guitarist scheduled six acoustic performances at record shops across the U.S. as part of his ongoing North American tour to promote his solo album Go.
The rocker played his first show at Origami Vinyl in Los Angeles last Sunday (17Oct10), but found the experience of performing so close to fans so unnerving, he has scrapped the rest of the dates.
A statement from his management reads, "Jonsi was always sceptical about how it (the in-store shows) would pan out in reality. Standing there nose-to-nose with fans in the cold light of day the other day in Origami Records, Los Angeles, he had the sudden and undeniable realisation that this is not the environment in which he flourishes.
"Arguably it was the most uncomfortable experience of his 10 years in the public eye, and as a result we are unwilling to put him in the line of fire again." The rest of the star’s headline shows, including concerts in Utah, Texas, Georgia and New York, will go ahead as planned.

Rocker SUFJAN STEVENS was forced to halt the recording of his new album last year (09) after he was struck down by a "mysterious and debilitating" illness.
The musician refuses to reveal details of his condition, but admits he had to stop work on The Age Of Adz and take several months off as he battled the ailment.
He tells Exclaim.ca, "I probably shouldn’t go into the gory details of what I went through. But I will say that I did get very sick last year and had some serious health issues that were really confusing and mysterious and debilitating.
"For several months, I couldn’t really work and was forced to focus on my physicality and restoring myself. It took several months before I could even get back to working again and writing music." And Stevens reveals that when he did step back into the studio, he found the pressure of finishing the record "really overwhelming".
He adds, "I was really, really desperate to get better because I had started so much music. I had begun all of these projects and was recording a lot. Then when I went back to it, I found it really overwhelming and I didn’t know how to approach it."

Residents of T.I.’s hometown have filed a court motion asking a judge to overturn the rapper’s recent jail sentence and send him to rehab instead.
The hip-hop star, who hails from Atlanta, Georgia, was handed an 11-month jail sentence last week (15Oct10) for breaching his probation following an arrest in Los Angeles, which saw him and his wife Tameka ‘Tiny’ Cottle booked on drug possession charges.
T.I. completed a prison stint on weapons charges last year (09) and is expected to head back to jail when he surrenders to authorities within the next two weeks.
But new court documents filed by "Citizens of the State of Atlanta Georgia" are asking officials to grant the star a reprieve and swap his jail time for a stint in a drug treatment centre, according to TMZ.com.
T.I.’s lawyers have confirmed they know nothing about the legal papers and have no plans to appeal the rapper’s sentence.

AEROSMITH frontman STEVEN TYLER has confirmed he plans to continue working with the band while filming TV talent show AMERICAN IDOL, insisting he is prepared to "juggle" his two jobs.
The singer was recently announced as the latest addition to the show’s judging panel alongside Jennifer Lopez, following the departure of Simon Cowell, Ellen DeGeneres and Kara DioGuardi, and he is currently overseeing the audition process for the next series.
News of Tyler’s appointment sparked outrage among his Aerosmith bandmates, who feared the American Idol job would ruin their plans to tour and record a new album.
Tyler has now spoken out to assure fans he has not abandoned the group, and will continue recording with Aerosmith while he films Idol.
He tells the CBS Interactive Music Group, "We’re gonna work on it (the album) while I’m doing Idol. Idol’s two days a week. So I’m gonna be living in L.A. at the time. So the band’ll come back and forth and we’ll work on it." Tyler admits his relationship with his bandmates did become strained at one point, but he’s convinced the group will be able to return "stronger" than ever.
He adds, "There was some tension (with my bandmates). And in all good marriages… I’m married to four men. I mean, you think women are bad… So it’s a marriage, and there’s a lot of ups and downs, and we went through a period there - a slow period - where everybody was not feeling so good. But you know, I’m a fighter. I’ve got my own ups and downs… But this did nothing but bring the band together and make it stronger. I can only speak for myself. As you see, I’m doing Idol. I can juggle a lot of balls, so it’s all looking good." Tyler previously fell out with his bandmates last year (09) when he unexpectedly quit the band. The remaining members decided to audition for a new singer so they could continue plans for a tour and a new album, but Tyler’s lawyers blocked the move and he subsequently rejoined them.

American football star JUNIOR SEAU will not face any charges following his arrest on suspicion of domestic violence after an alleged altercation with his girlfriend.
The former San Diego Chargers star hit the headlines on Monday (18Oct10) when he was briefly detained by California police investigating allegations of assault.
The case was handed to the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office but on Friday (22Oct10), officials decided not to press charges against Seau due to lack of evidence.
The District Attorney says, "As with every case we review, we have an ethical duty to file charges only when we believe we can prove them beyond a reasonable doubt." Seau was also hospitalised on Monday when he drove his car off a cliff, hours after his arrest.
He was treated overnight for cuts and bruises and was discharged on Tuesday morning (19Oct10).
The star is not believed to have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol, but results from a blood test taken after the accident are pending.

British actor SEAN BEAN has opened up about his recent marriage breakdown, admitting he has been "concentrating on work" to take his mind off the painful split.
The GoldenEye star is single again after separating from his fourth wife, Georgina Sutcliffe, over the summer (10).
She filed divorce papers in August (10) in a bid to bring their two-year union to an official end.
Bean reveals he is doing his best to move on from the break-up, but hasn’t given up hope of finding love again.
He says, "I’m OK about it all really, but I’m just concentrating on working hard at the moment. It seems I’m young, free and single again. I wouldn’t say what has happened has put me off women, and as for marrying again, well I just can’t say."

BRADLEY WHITFORD’s 18-year marriage to JANE KACZMAREK is officially over - the former couple’s divorce has been finalised.
The West Wing star and the Malcolm In The Middle actress filed for a legal separation over the summer (Jun10) and their union was officially dissolved this week (ends24Oct10).
The former couple split their assets evenly and will share custody of their three children, according to TMZ.com.
In an interview with the San Jose Mercury News, which was published earlier this month (Oct10), Kaczmarek admitted she has a new boyfriend and is looking forward to moving on with her life.
She said, "The good thing is you realise you have the chance to completely redefine yourself and start your life over, whether you want to or not. That has also, in a funny way, reinvigorated my desire to act again…
"I now have a house, my children, and I’m dating a nice fellow… My kids have a great dad… Brad was the love of my life. We were happy for a long, long time. I don’t know. Things evolve, right?"

RANDY QUAID and his wife EVI have told immigration officials in Canada they plan to seek asylum in the country because they fear their lives are "in danger" in the U.S.
The Quaids became wanted criminals after they failed to show up for an arraignment hearing in California on Monday (18Oct10), relating to their recent brush with the law for allegedly squatting in a Montecito home they once owned.
A judge issued a warrant for their arrest and they were detained in Vancouver, Canada four days later.
The couple has now been released after posting nearly $10,000 (£6,667) bail each, but the case has taken a bizarre twist after they requested asylum at a Canadian immigration hearing.
Evi Quaid told officials of the Immigration and Refugee Board that they have fled persecution in their native America and want to apply for refugee status in Canada.
She said, "We feel our lives are in danger. Randy has known eight close friends murdered in odd, strange manners… We feel that we’re next." During the break in proceedings, the Quaids’ lawyer, Brian Tsuji, read a short, single-sentence statement from the couple to reporters, which only added to the mystery surrounding the case.
Their attorney said, "Yes, we are requesting asylum from Hollywood star whackers."

Married life for RUSSELL BRAND and KATY PERRY will get off to a rocky start this weekend (23-24Oct10) - the funnyman is set to be questioned by Indian police over an alleged assault on a group of photographers during a safari trip.
The British comic was enjoying an outdoor adventure in the Ranthambhore region of India with his family and friends on the eve of the couple’s wedding on Saturday (23Oct10).
But the festivities soured when the star’s bodyguards allegedly clashed with a group of photographers, who were following the party and taking pictures.
The snappers claim a member of Brand’s entourage approached their vehicle, punched the driver in the face and stole his car keys.
Photographer Mustafa Quraishi was then allegedly beaten as he attempted to retrieve the keys, while two other men claim to have been assaulted as they came to his rescue.
The incident has now been reported to the Ranthambhore police force, who have confirmed they plan to question Brand and any other witnesses who were present.
A statement from Ranthambhore police reads, "The photographers have filed an official complaint of assault and all witnesses, including Mr. Brand, will be questioned about this. Police officers will be going to the hotel… to advise the alleged perpetrators of an arrest and that a case has been filed.
"It is certainly not a good thing because an Indian photographer has been beaten up in his own country by a foreigner. The photographer would like an apology and if the perpetrator is willing to apologise then we can take back the case."

KANYE WEST is full of respect for model SELITA EBANKS after working with the beauty on his new film RUNAWAY - because she believed in his vision when everyone else was abandoning the project.
The Gold Digger hitmaker shot the 35-minute movie over the summer (10) in Prague, Czech Republic - but admits he struggled to get the picture into production because of a lack of funding.
And he’s thankful for Ebanks for waiting around until he was ready to shoot.
He tells MTV show The Seven, "What I admire so much about her is she stuck with me when producers were pulling out. We didn’t have money, we had a problem without the money, (but) she stuck there and said, ‘Well, I believe in you.’" However, Ebanks confesses she almost didn’t sign up to star in the film, which chronicles West’s fictitious relationship with a girl who becomes a phoenix from outer space - because she wasn’t prepared to go naked.
She says, "I must say I was a little hesitant, only because originally the phoenix was meant to be nude, and as a woman we all have our insecurities and I was like, ‘No sir, that’s not gonna happen!’" But the model is happy she took on the role - and the filming experience was a relaxed one: "It was super easy, there was no director’s chair, no yelling." JAMIE LEE CURTIS lightened the mood as she honoured her late father TONY CURTIS at his memorial service earlier this month (Oct10) by imitating his famous deep voice.
The Some Like It Hot star passed away on 29 September (10) after suffering a cardiac arrest and more than 400 mourners turned out to pay their last respects at a private funeral in Las Vegas.
Tears were streaming down Jamie Lee’s face at the end of her touching memorial speech, but she insists it didn’t start that way.
Instead, the True Lies actress decided to greet grieving guests by showing off her impersonation of the acting legend - and she recreated the moment during her first TV interview since Curtis’ death - on U.S. chat show The Talk - on Friday (22Oct10).
She said, "I was asked to speak at the last minute and so I said, ‘Hello you beautiful people, you got dressed, how nice, it’s a privilege for me to see you.’ "He really was an invention, if you will. This was a guy who was in the navy. He was… a guy from the streets of New York and he became this other thing. He changed his name and he changed his whole life, and the invention of Tony Curtis was his life." Jamie Lee endured a difficult relationship with her late father following his bitter divorce from her actress mother Janet Leigh when she was a child, and she admits they never shared the traditional father/daughter bond.
But she learned to love him as the Hollywood icon he had become, and confesses her admiration for Curtis stemmed mainly from her love of his work.
Jamie Lee explained, "Children are complicated and messy, and he was not a father; he was not interested in being a father - and this is not a slam against him - …he did what he had to do from a financial standpoint, which was honourable of him to do, but he wasn’t an involved father. Therefore, I look at him much more from the perspective of being a fan of him. I was more of a fan of his work, of his spirit, of his joie de vivre (joy of living)… My mother was never a diva, my father was bigger than life, who lived in Vegas! "(There was) no (bond), not at all. Except for the fact that I inherited genetically a part of him. As I said at his funeral, I inherited his desperate need for attention… But I’m working through that!"

Comedian CHRIS ROCK is set to make his Broadway debut next year (11) in a new play about love, addiction and fidelity.
Rock will appear opposite Bobby Cannavale, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Annabella Sciorra and Yul Vazquez for a 14-week engagement of Stephen Adly Guirgis’ play The Motherf**ker With the Hat.
The play follows Cannavale’s character Jackie, a parolee who is newly sober, and his girlfriend, who is not. Rock will play Jackie’s sponsor.
Tony Award winner Anna D. Shapiro will direct the play, which is set to begin previews on 22 March (11).
