THE KINKS star RAY DAVIES is furious with his estranged brother and former bandmate DAVE after the star refused to reunite for a memorial in honour of their former bassist, PETE QUAIFE.
The feuding siblings haven’t worked together since The Kinks split in 1996 and frontman Ray admits they are barely on speaking terms.
And he claims the guitarist even snubbed his offer to reform for a tribute concert for Quaife, who died in June (10).
Ray tells Uncut magazine, "(I) don’t talk to him (Dave). We email each other occasionally. I’m going to do a memorial event for Pete somewhere in Muswell Hill (north London) and I’d like to involve Dave but he won’t do it.
"Dave’s a very proud man. I don’t know what his problem is apart from pride. But that’s so trivial when someone has died. If fiction is anything to go by even the mafia get together and make up when someone dies. If only for the funeral."

Australian model MIRANDA KERR is urging fans to log off social-networking sites for one day to raise awareness for autism charities.
The Victoria’s Secret beauty will avoid her Twitter.com page on 1 November (10) as part of the Communication Shutdown campaign, which aims to highlight the challenges facing autism patients.
And she’s urging social media users around the world to join her, declaring in a post on Twitter: "My Twitter will be shut down next Monday."

Actress BRYCE DALLAS HOWARD has been secretly psychic since she was a child - she predicted her mother was having twin girls weeks before a hospital scan revealed the double bundle of joy.
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse star, daughter of director Ron Howard, admits a sixth sense runs in her famous family, and she knew early on in her mum Cheryl’s pregnancy that she was about to become a big sister to Jocelyn and Paige in 1985, when she was just three years old.
She explains, "My family has these psychic abilities. (Father Ron) is pretty intuitive, but he’s not psychic.
"But when I was three, I’d told my mum - she’d just found out she was pregnant she knew what she was having, but ultimately they ended up having twin girls - ‘Oh I’m so excited about my sisters.’ And my mum was like, ‘What are you talking about?’ and she asked me to draw a picture, so I drew this picture of her with these two figures in it and later on in the pregnancy they had a scan and found out it was twins, and then found out it was twin girls - it was uncanny for them!" And Howard isn’t the only one of Ron’s kids to share the psychic vision.
She adds, "With my sister, …sometimes she’ll just walk down the street and just kinda know what’s going on in their lives, like this person’s going through a divorce…"

CLINT EASTWOOD fails to understand why movie directors retire in their twilight years - because he plans to continue working until at least the age of 100.
The Dirty Harry star turned 80 in May (10), but he has no interest in retirement and he’s determined to spend at least two more decades behind the camera.
He says, "I’m always sort of shocked when directors retire. I figure your best years should be at a point when you’ve got a lot of so-called knowledge.
"There’s a Portuguese director, Manoel de Oliveira, who’s still making films and he’s over 100. I plan to do the same."

STAR TREK actor ZACHARY QUINTO jumped at the chance to showcase his skills on the New York stage in new play ANGELS IN AMERICA, because he wants to establish himself as a top theatre star.
Quinto makes his Big Apple stage debut when the show opens on Thursday (28Oct10) at the Peter Norton Space, and the 33 year old admits his move away from Hollywood was a significant one.
He tells the New York Times, "This is hopefully a declaration of my intention to have theatre be a much more significant part of my career from this point forward.
"I look at the work that I’ve done so far as an investment to that end." And director Michael Greif is confident his performance as Louis Ironson, a man who leaves his AIDS-suffering lover when he needs him most, will lead to an influx of other theatre roles.
He says, "He starts with the most extraordinary instrument for a stage actor, that incredibly expressive voice. But he also has this physical dexterity. He expresses everything fully through his body."

GORDON RAMSAY has suffered a kitchen nightmare after a mouse was spotted running though one of his London restaurants.
Pest control officers were called to the TV chef’s Maze Grill eaterie after diners spotted a rodent scurrying under a table, hotly pursued by worried staff.
Diner David Moreton says, "It was extraordinary to think a mouse was loose in one of London’s best restaurants. My wife can’t stand them and was absolutely terrified. It totally ruined her night." A spokesperson for Gordon Ramsay Holdings Ltd explains, "We have apologised. Pest controllers have since given us a clean bill of health." It’s the latest setback for the Hell’s Kitchen star - last week (ends24Oct10) his father-in-law Chris Hutcheson stepped down as CEO of Ramsay’s business empire.
The chef was also dealt another blow in August (10) when he received three outstanding U.S. tax bills, with one totalling $484,500 (£323,000).

MATT STONE and TREY PARKER have apologised to the bosses of a comedy website for lifting dialogue from an online short for an episode of SOUTH PARK.
The episode titled Insheeption, which aired in the U.S. on Wednesday (20Oct10), poked fun at summer blockbuster Inception and featured similar wording to a CollegeHumor.com video, Inception Characters Don’t Understand Inception.
Both featured the identical line: "Sometimes my thoughts of my dead wife manifest themselves as trains." Stone claims he and co-creator Parker turned to the parody clip because they couldn’t get hold of the Leonardo DiCaprio film and mistakenly assumed the line was actually featured in Inception.
He tells the New York Times, "It’s just because we do the show in six days, and we’re stupid and we just threw it together. But in the end, there are some lines that we had to call and apologise for." The clip’s co-writer Dan Gurewitch insists Stone was "extremely nice and apologetic" over the matter.

British actor PATRICK WESTWOOD has been found guilty of harassment after "bullying" a gay neighbour in a series of arguments.
The 85 year old, who starred with Sir Michael Caine in The Last Valley, avoided jail time after a judge at Kingston Crown Court handed him a two-year supervision order.
Westwood is said to have provoked and humiliated homosexual Barrie Boxell, the manager of his apartment building in Wandsworth, south London.
The judge found him guilty of harassment and breaching restraining orders, telling him: "You made this man’s life an absolute misery. It was premeditated bullying."

EMINEM has beaten rap rivals JAY-Z and KANYE WEST to land the title of Hottest MC in the Game in a new MTV poll.
The honour tops a hugely successful comeback year for the Stan hitmaker, who bounced back from a deep depression and drug addiction to dominate charts around the world with his album Recovery and hit singles Not Afraid, No Love and Love The Way You Lie with Rihanna.

Rap superstar KANYE WEST sent concert-goers in Brooklyn, New York into a frenzy in the early hours of Sunday (24Oct10) when he played a surprise set of his new material as part of the Offline Festival.
The event, staged by Pitchfork Media, was held at Brooklyn Bowl and Saturday’s (23Oct10) show was headlined by DJ A-Trak to celebrate the three year anniversary of Fool’s Gold Records.
But A-Trak had a big treat in store for fans, bringing out West for a four-song set at around 2.30am on Sunday.
The hip-hop star drew screams from the crowd when he ran out on stage and launched into Monster, his new star-studded collaboration with Jay-Z, Rick Ross and Nicki Minaj. He also performed Power, Devil in a New Dress and Runaway, much to the audience’s delight.
And rap fans got more than their $10 (£7) ticket’s worth at the show - A-Trak then introduced Wu-Tang Clan star GZA to the stage for another performance.

HALLE BERRY went public with her romance with OLIVIER MARTINEZ on Saturday (23Oct10) when the new couple walked the red carpet at a charity gala in Hollywood.

Director MATTHEW WILDER has renewed his vow to stand by LINDSAY LOHAN as she endures a further three months in drug rehab, insisting he has no plans to replace her as the lead in his LINDA LOVELACE biopic.
The filmmaker hired the Mean Girls star to play the troubled porn legend in Inferno earlier this year (10), but production on the project was pushed back when Lohan was jailed for breaching her probation over the summer (10).
Shooting was scheduled to begin in November (10) - but filming on the movie has now been stalled after Lohan was ordered to spend the next three months continuing treatment at California’s Betty Ford Clinic during a court hearing on Friday (22Oct10).
But Wilder has promised to support his leading star as she conquers her demons.
He tells the New York Daily News, "We’re not replacing her with another person.
"She’s good and productive and thinking about life beyond (rehab). I think she feels a little cooped up there, but she’s OK." The news will be a major relief for Lohan - in court documents filed by her probation officer, she admits she "can not afford to continue to pay for the treatment programme and she needs to work".
The extra three months at the Betty Ford Clinic is expected to cost the actress an estimated $63,000 (£42,000).

COURTNEY LOVE is making RUSSELL SIMMONS grovel for her forgiveness - she has been ignoring the hip-hop mogul’s calls to apologise for branding her a "crackhead" after she posted nude images of herself online.
The Hole frontwoman was left red-faced after accidentally uploading raunchy photos meant for a lover on social networking website Twitter.com earlier this month (Oct10).
Simmons joked about the scandal last week (19Oct10), telling the New York Post his pal, who has a history of drug abuse, must have been under the influence when she sent the explicit photos to the public.
He told the New York Post, "I think she is a sweet girl… It’s probably exciting to be a crackhead." Love hit back at Simmons and insisted she was "insulted" by his comment - and the rap icon has been trying to make amends since.
He took to his own Twitter.com page on Friday (22Oct10), writing, "Gotta lay off green juice (fast), allowed the media to string my words together and insult friend Courtney Love." But Simmons is struggling to contact Love to make a personal apology.
He tells the newspaper, "My joke about Courtney Love was more about me than Courtney. She is a talented, sweet girl who, like me and everyone else, is in constant reform. I’ve been calling her but haven’t been able to reach her yet. I hope she still considers me a friend."

LED ZEPPELIN legend JIMMY PAGE is in high demand - his limited edition photo biography has sold out prior to its official release, despite carrying a price tag of $740 (£495).
The book, simply titled Jimmy Page, features more than 650 photographs charting the guitarist’s life and career, including rare and unseen shots of the star, as well as snaps he took himself.
Only 2,500 copies of the biography are being released later this year (10), but fans looking to buy the tome in stores will be disappointed - it’s sold out through pre-orders from Genesis Publications.
The collector’s item, bound in leather and wrapped in silk, is signed and numbered by Page himself.

STEVIE WONDER helped to boost donations for PAUL NEWMAN’s summer camp organisation by an extra $100,000 (£66,700) on Thursday (21Oct10) - when a private bidder handed over the staggering amount for an intimate performance by the soul icon.
