MEAT LOAF TURNS MOVIE MOGUL LANSING INTO A GOD FOR ALBUM ART

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:00 am

MEAT LOAF has revealed the animated woman on the cover of his new album HANG COOL TEDDY BEAR was inspired by former Paramount Studio boss SHERRY LANSING.
The rocker commissioned artist Julie Bell to create the artwork and gave her one simple idea - Lansing as a god.
Meat Loaf, who has turned his attention to movie and TV roles in recent years, tells Hustler magazine, "I saw this painting she (Bell) did called The Rose, which is an impressionist setting with a photorealistic woman sitting on some fantasy-looking thing. I told her I wanted the same thing with old school Hollywood as the backdrop… with this woman, based on Sherry Lansing, as the symbol of woman as God." Bell is the artist who was commissioned to create the album artwork for Meat Loaf’s Bat Out of Hell 3.

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:58 am

TAYLOR SWIFT made one fan’s trip to Nashville, Tennessee extra special - when she followed her through a shopping mall and confronted her in a video game store.
The Love Story singer was out shopping when she spotted the fan wearing a Taylor Swift T-shirt and decided to make her day.
But she had no idea how big a deal her impromptu meeting would be.
She tells Parade magazine, "I was driving near the mall and I saw this girl with my tour T-shirt on. She was probably 11. I made a U-turn and tried to follow her.
"I found her in a video game store and just kind of walked up to her and said, ‘Oh, hi. I wanted to meet you.’ She had no idea what to say for about three minutes.
"Then her mum walked over, burst into tears, and proceeded to tell me that they’d driven all the way from Austin, Texas, just to see where I was discovered."

DUFF TEXTED TOOTHLESS PHOTO TO HUSBAND-TO-BE ON WEDDING DAY

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:58 am

HILARY DUFF tested her husband-to-be’s true feelings on their wedding day when she took a photo of her new look and texted it to him hours before the couple exchanged vows.
The singer/actress was missing a tooth after it fell out over breakfast and she faced a last-minute dash to the dentist.
And amid all the tears and the stress, Duff decided it would be fun to text her ice hockey beau Mike Comrie a far-from-flattering shot of his bride.
She recalls, "I took a picture of my mouth with my missing tooth and sent it to Mike… He was like, ‘You’re joking, right?’ I was like, ‘Get ready to marry me!’" Apart from the tooth trouble, the wedding day was perfect - Duff and Comrie became husband and wife in Montecito, California on 14 August (10).

JAY-Z: ‘MODERN HIP-HOP LACKS EMOTION’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:58 am

JAY-Z has blasted modern hip-hop, accusing his rap contemporaries of lacking emotion in their music.
The music icon claims the genre is suffering because artists are more concerned about commercial success than expressing a voice in their lyrics.
The 99 problems hitmaker says, "We have to find our way back to true emotion. This is going to sound so sappy, but love is the only thing that stands the test of time. The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill was all about love. Andre 3000, The Love Below. Even NWA, at its core, that was about love for a neighbourhood.
"We’re chasing a lot of sounds now, but I’m not hearing anyone’s real voice. The emotion of where you are in your life. The mortgage scandal. People losing their jobs. I want to hear about that."

NEWTON IMPRESSED WITH PERRY’S FLOWER GIFTS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:57 am

THANDIE NEWTON was impressed with all the small things on the set of TYLER PERRY’s new movie FOR COLORED GIRLS - like the way the director delivered fresh flowers to her trailer every morning.
The British actress admits it was a pleasure working with Perry and she hopes she gets the chance to collaborate with the moviemaker again - because he really looks after his cast.
She tells WENN, "We had fresh cut flowers in our trailer every day that we worked. I used to take them home and then new ones would automatically arrive! It was amazing.
"It’s a dainty, small-in-the-scheme-of-things touch but, my goodness, you felt special and loved, appreciated and honoured. When you got on the set you just gave it your all because you felt appreciated.
"I sensed in his behaviour that he was saying to each of us, ‘Teach me about you,’ and that is sophisticated and very courageous to allow us to show him."

SLOAT INITIALLY TURNED DOWN PARANORMAL ACTIVITY SEQUEL DEAL

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:55 am

PARANORMAL ACTIVITY star MICAH SLOAT initially turned down the chance to return for the film’s sequel because he felt sure it would be an awful idea.
The actor became an overnight sensation when he starred in the low-budget 2007 horror film but he had serious reservations about agreeing to be part of the follow-up, which stormed to the top of the U.S. box office at the weekend (24Oct10).
He tells WENN, "When I was initially approached to be part of the sequel I thought, ‘There’s no way that I wanna be part of that trainwreck’.
"Along with most of the fans, I just thought it was going to be a money-grabbing, slapdash effort but when (screenwriters/producers) Oren (Peli) and Jason (Blum) signed on and Steven (Schneider) and (director) Tod Williams - and then I read the screenplay - I thought, ‘All the pieces are in place’.
"I got really excited at that point, and it’s a great film." And now Sloat is keeping an open mind about a third film - because he’s desperate to know what happens next.
He adds, "If the script is good and they ask me, I’m onboard, especially if the same team comes back to produce. There’s so many loose ends and threads hanging off the first two movies.
"We all wanna know what happens to the baby from the sequel… At the end of the sequel, that’s what you’re asking yourself and I wanna know myself. I’m kinda worried for the baby."

MUNN STRIPS FOR CIRCUS ELEPHANTS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:55 am

Outspoken actress OLIVIA MUNN has stripped for animal rights group PETA - in a bid to prompt circus fans to boycott family chain Ringling Brothers over its treatment of elephants.
The animal lover was brought to tears when she watched a video shot by undercover PETA staff at Ringling’s training facility and felt compelled to help the activists spread their message against the touring circus.
She says, "When you look at something like the circus and everyone’s laughing and there’s colour and there’s music and everything seems so great, but when you go right behind that door and elephants are in these crates all day long and then they’re getting shocked and beat just so they can get up and dance around on a ball… it was just so sickening." Munn has shot a ‘Boycott The Circus’ billboard for PETA, in which the actress sits naked in front of a shot of elephants in the wild, with the tagline, ‘As nature intended, let elephants be free’.
