Actress MELISSA LEO kept her character’s engagement ring from new movie WELCOME TO THE RILEYS because she quite liked the idea of playing JAMES GANDOLFINI’s wife.
The unwed Frozen River star admits she even wears the ring from time to time - because it brings back fond memories of working with The Sopranos star in New Orleans, Louisiana.
She tells WENN, "I still have the engagement ring that Lois wore that Jim’s character gave me and I still wear it quite a bit.
"He (Gandolfini) has that likability and we just hit it off. I felt that warmth from Jim right from the beginning… and I’ll always have a wife’s love for Jimmy. I’ll carry that ring with me for the rest of my days."

Former DEXTER star JULIE BENZ is looking for love three years after divorcing actor/comedian JOHN KASSIR - and this time she wants a younger man.
The 38-year-old actress was married for nine years and admits the thrill of being married to a man 15 years her senior quickly wore off - and now she wants someone her own age.
Benz says, "Under 35 is too young for me. I’m 38… (I want someone who is) the same age… I was married to someone older and it was appealing for a while, but it was a big age difference and I think the importance is to have someone you can grow with." Appearing on U.S. talk show Access Hollywood Live on Tuesday (26Oct10), Benz recruited fellow guest and Millionaire Matchmaker host Patti Stanger to help her snare a new man. Stanger suggested True Blood hunk Sam Trammell would be the perfect partner for the actress.
Benz said, "He’s hot, but he might be a little young."

Actress BRYCE DALLAS HOWARD stunned her family when she first took to the stage in a New York University production - because she was naked for much of the play.
The Spider-Man 3 star was so thrilled with her big role, she invited director dad Ron Howard and her family to the show - but couldn’t muster the strength to tell them what to expect.
She explains, "They (parents) invited my grandfather. What I kind of forgot to tell them was that I was actually naked onstage for 45 minutes.
"My dad was just like, ‘This is far too much,’ and my grandfather, afterwards, went to the director and was like, ‘I have a note for you… I think when Bryce is on stage, you should dim the lights.’"

Grier will play the estranged father of Amber Riley’s character Mercedes in a three-episode arc.

THE HANGOVER director TODD PHILLIPS is developing a new JOHN BELUSHI biopic - and ZACH GALIFIANAKIS is at the top of his leading men list.
The filmmaker is a longtime fan of the tragic comedy legend and admits he’s close to pre-production on the film of Belushi’s life.
He tells Details magazine he has yet to cast the film - but his The Hangover star Galifianakis is a favourite to play the wildman.
Phillips admits he’s surprised by Internet stories suggesting Seth Rogen will play Belushi: "They want Seth Rogen? That’s interesting. I honestly never even thought of that.
"Zach, obviously. I’ve thought of Zach because it’s Zach, and I think of him for everything."

A court has rejected a bid from MICHAEL JACKSON’s father to challenge the administrators of the late superstar’s estate Officials at the California Court of Appeal have ruled that the 82 year old has no right to intervene in the estate, affirming a probate judge’s ruling in November (09).
Joe Jackson had been fighting the decision in order to obtain more control over financial matters, despite the fact the singer had excluded him from his will in 2002.
The Thriller hitmaker died in June, 2009 and his estate has since amassed a $275 million (£183 million) fortune.

Pop legend SIR ELTON JOHN has abandoned the idea of becoming a dancefloor diva - because he’s too old to reinvent himself.
The Candle in the Wind hitmaker is a huge fan of dance music and admits he has been tempted to try his hand at a club anthem, but, at 63, he thinks he should stick to what he does best.
John says, "I’m always listening to new music. I really love electronic and dance stuff, like Royksopp and Robyn. But I could never do stuff like that because I’m 63 and too old. If I ever tried I wouldn’t be true to myself." But he is turning his back on pop - the British star recently announced we won’t be recording any more pop albums, insisting he wants to devote the rest of his career to tackling the blues.
He told USA Today newspaper, "I might collaborate with Lady Gaga or the Scissor Sisters on a single, but I’m not going to make pop albums anymore."

EVA LONGORIA PARKER and her basketball star husband TONY PARKER have been sued for negligence over a car crash in Hollywood last week (20Oct10).
Roman Gasparyan claims he was waiting to make a turn on Hollywood Boulevard when the Desperate Housewives star swerved into his vehicle while driving in the opposite direction.
The angry motorist is seeking unspecified damages, alleging he sustained damage to his BMW sports utility vehicle (SUV) as well as physical and mental suffering, according to the lawsuit filed on Tuesday (26Oct10) in Los Angeles Superior Court.
Parker was named in legal papers as he is the registered owner of the vehicle the actress was driving, reports TMZ.com.
A representative for Longoria Parker has previously dismissed Gasparyan’s suit, insisting there is "no truth" to his claims.

GAVIN ROSSDALE was left disappointed when he invited his former BUSH bandmates to reunite last year (09) - only drummer ROGER GOODRIDGE took him up on the offer.
The 90s chart-toppers reunited for a gig at the Epicenter Twenty Ten festival last month (Sep10) - eight years after they split - and have spent the last year recording tracks for a new album, which they’ll promote on tour in 2011.
But Rossdale has had to find replacements for guitarist Nigel Pulsford and bassist Dave Parsons, who refused to take part in the comeback. And he can’t understand why they declined.
Revealing he reformed Bush because he "couldn’t survive" as a solo artist, Rossdale tells Details magazine, "I rang them up and said, ‘I really want to do this. I’ve waited patiently for seven years, and now I realise I’m forsaking my own potential. I have to do it. I can’t survive making music under my solo name.’ "And I got two blessings and one acceptance. I can’t believe they didn’t want to do it. I just don’t get it. But sometimes it’s hard to see outside the prism of your own vision."

Rocker RAY DAVIES has called for the masterminds behind the 9/11 terror attacks to face a firing squad made up of members of the victims’ families.
The Kinks frontman wants the suspects being held at the Guantanamo Bay detention camp in Cuba to face the death penalty if they are found guilty of involvement in the September 11 atrocities.
And he wants soldiers and the families of those killed in the tragedy to act as executioner.
Davies tells Uncut magazine, "I think there should be a firing squad. They should give six people bullets. Well, two of them have got bullets and the others are all blanks.
"They’ll get - whoever the executioner is - a soldier, a relative of someone who was killed in 9/11, and a frequent flyer."

Troubled rapper T.I.’s legal woes have cost him a development deal with cognac company Remy Martin.
Earlier this year (10), the star signed a deal to launch his own signature Remy Martin cognac, but bosses have turned their backs on him after he was ordered to return to jail for violating his probation.
A spokesperson for the brand tells PerezHilton.com, "Sometimes the ‘road to redemption’ is a difficult path. Regrettably, we will not be able to continue collaborating with T.I. at this time. We wish T.I. well and hope he will devote his time and energy to staying the course." Last month (Sep10), the star, real name Clifford Harris Jr. and his wife were arrested and booked for felony possession of a controlled substance following a traffic stop in Los Angeles.
The arrest came just nine months after T.I. completed a jail sentence on weapons possession charges.
In a court hearing in his native Atlanta, Georgia on Friday (15Oct10), T.I.’s probation was revoked and he was sent back to prison for a further 11 months.

Actor BALTHAZAR GETTY is returning to hit family drama BROTHERS & SISTERS as part of the show’s 100th episode celebrations.
Getty’s character Tommy Walker was axed from the show as a regular last year (09) following his cheating scandal with British actress Sienna Miller, but he has returned as a guest star a handful of times.

U.S. TV chef JUAN-CARLOS CRUZ has pleaded no contest to solicitation of murder in his alleged plot to hire three homeless men to kill his wife.
The presenter, famed as the host of the Food Network’s healthy cooking show Calorie Commando, was arrested in California in May (10) on suspicion of solicitation to commit murder after he was caught out during a reported undercover operation.
According to TMZ.com, Cruz’s wife Jennifer Campbell wanted to die because she could not have kids but refused to take her own life due to religious beliefs. The TV star allegedly wanted his wife murdered as an act of mercy and planned to then take his own life.
Cruz initially pleaded not guilty but in court on Tuesday (26Oct10), it was announced that he had struck a deal with prosecutors to plead no contest.
He has reportedly agreed to accept nine years in prison. A judge will sentence him on 13 December (10).

SPIDER-MAN 3 star BRYCE DALLAS HOWARD wore her prom dress to win over her future husband at a party.
The actress fell for Seth Gabel the minute the couple met and she marked the momentous occasion by stating she would wed the actor in her journal.
So when she had an opportunity to meet him again at a friend’s party, she was determined to make an impression.
She says, "I stalked him for, like, eight months… I found out that he was going to be at this party… and I never go to parties.
"I was like, ‘I have to go there and win his heart and what does one wear for a party,’ so I wore my prom dress. I showed up and kind or, like, stuck out like a sore thumb. I felt, like, I was being really provocative and overtly sexual… and all I did was introduce myself to him, and he left with someone else."

RUPERT GRINT got a nasty shock when his character was aged in the final HARRY POTTER film - because he didn’t like what he saw.
The young Brit was initially amazed with the make-up and technology that allowed Ron Weasley to grow old before his very eyes - but then he realised he was looking at himself.

A representative for CHARLIE SHEEN has confirmed reports he was hospitalised on Tuesday morning (26Oct10), after suffering an "adverse allergic reaction" to medication.
Earlier reports suggested the 45-year-old actor was accompanied to a New York medical centre by his ex-wife Denise Richards, after cops were called to investigate an alleged disturbance in Sheen’s room at the plush Plaza Hotel.
According to the New York Post, hotel security staff called police after discovering Sheen nude and his suite in shambles. Tables and chairs were reportedly thrown around the room and a chandelier damaged.
Sheen told officers he had been "out partying" and returned to the Plaza with a woman, but flew into a rage when he discovered his wallet was missing, according to the newspaper.
A New York Police Department spokesman has now confirmed an ambulance carried an "emotionally disturbed person" from New York’s Plaza hotel to New York Downtown Hospital at 1:30am.
Sheen’s rep, Stan Rosenfield, has failed to comment on details of the alleged disturbance but confirms his client remains in hospital.
He tells CNN: "What we are able to determine is that Charlie had an adverse allergic reaction to some medication and was taken to the hospital, where he is expected to be released tomorrow." Late last year (09) Sheen was arrested in Aspen, Colorado after fighting with his now-estranged wife Brooke Mueller.

JANET JACKSON is fighting back against fans who have accused her of dropping music for movies - because she worked as an actress years before landing her first record deal.
The singer has been showing off her acting skills in recent years, including roles in Tyler Perry’s movie sequel Why Did I Get Married Too? and his upcoming drama For Colored Girls.
And while the Nasty hitmaker is adamant she will return to music, she’s reminding critics she got her first taste of fame with a role in 1970s U.S. sitcom Good Times - not with a record contract.
She says, "A lot of people feel I’ve given up my music for acting and they have to realise this was my first passion. This was my first career. I had a recording contract when I was 14 but I started acting when I was 10." And she’s been aching to return to acting ever since her former manager father, Joe Jackson, pushed her into music.
She adds, "I’m just really living out a dream I’ve had for a very long time. I never really wanted to be in music, I’m not complaining because it’s been very good to me but I did it because my father wanted me to, so I’m finally getting to do something."
