FIRTH NERVOUS ABOUT QUEEN’S REACTION TO NEW MOVIE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:24 pm

British actor COLIN FIRTH felt a huge "responsibility" playing British monarch GEORGE VI in new movie THE KING’S SPEECH - because he was "constantly" worried about the reaction of the late King’s daughter, current ruler QUEEN ELIZABETH II.
The film tells the story of King George’s efforts to conquer his stammer after learning he was to take the thrown in the wake of his brother Edward VIII’s abdication in 1936.
And Firth admits he was nervous about what the current monarch would think of the project.
He tells Britain’s Daily Express, "Am I worried about what the Queen will think? I thought about it constantly. It is a huge responsibility to get it right. I listened to every speech the King made and watched all the old newsreels. I look nothing like him and it was the toughest role I’ve ever faced."
