GARRETT’S MISSING MILLIONS
Fallen pop star LEIF GARRETT is convinced he was cheated out of a multi-million dollar fortune because his finances were "badly" mismanaged at the height of his career.
The singer signed a deal with Atlantic Records in 1976 to record his first album, Leif Garrett, and became a sensation when 1979 hit I Was Made For Dancin’ topped America’s music charts.
The 48 year old - now more famous for his legal woes and his long-running battle with drug addiction - says he made a lot of money as a teen idol, but he hasn’t seen most of his earnings.
He tells U.S. breakfast programme Good Morning America, "I was completely ripped off badly. I saw very little of it."
