DOUGLAS CONTINUES TO VISIT INCARCERATED SON

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:36 pm

Cancer-fighting MICHAEL DOUGLAS is working on his relationship with his jailed son CAMERON by making three-hour trips to visit him behind bars.
The Wall Street actor was diagnosed with throat cancer in August (10), just months after 31-year-old Cameron was handed a five-year prison term on drug charges.
But Douglas is determined to support his son despite his own struggle with gruelling radiation and chemotherapy treatment - and regularly makes trips from his home in New York to Lewisburg Federal Prison Camp in Pennsylvania.
The father and son meet in the prison visitors’ room in the grounds, according to official documents obtained by Britain’s People newspaper.
Douglas’ publicist Allen Burry says, "Michael is still visiting with Cameron. He is not going every day and not as often as he would like but he is still visiting with him."

And I was actually scared to speak to Joanna because I was a North Londoner. But she was wonderful, bless her." And Stewart admits he regrets breaking up with Lumley so he could chase other girls, adding: "It’s horrible. The only way I can defend myself is I was going through the cards. And she admits the repeated verbal abuse made her suicidal.
She tells Britain’s News of the World, "When I was 17 I did think about doing something nasty. It was all psychological. I was damaged. I had to get help from a professional. I also had to see a doctor who gave me treatment…
"In my case it was a small group of teenage girls that put me to that place. They’re the worst kind. It can really hold you back and damage you. Mental bullying is the worst kind of bullying." Now the singer is urging anyone victimised by bullies to reach out for professional help.

FRANCO PLEASED WITH ARM AMPUTATION SCENE AS FILM FANS FAINT

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:24 pm

JAMES FRANCO has applauded the delicate way his 127 HOURS director dealt with his character’s arm amputation scene in the film after learning people at screenings have been passing out.
The Spider-Man star plays real-life adventurer Aron Ralston, who had to cut off his arm with a penknife to free himself from a boulder after falling down a crevice on a hiking trip in Utah.
And he admits the pivotal scene in the new film could have been a bloodbath that led to theatres full of fainting fans had director Danny Boyle not been careful about what he shot and how much gore he showed.
Franco says, "Danny really had to balance that scene. You can go too far and just have it be gratuitous gore, and it’s almost like a horror movie.
"Or you can cut away and make it maybe a little more watchable, but then that takes away from what Aron went through." Ralston himself is thrilled with the scene and the film on the whole, revealing, "Out of the six screenings I’ve personally been at, I think there’s been a total of, like, seven faintings."
