MINOGUE BUYS LONDON HOME WITH LOVER

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 4:39 pm

Pop star KYLIE MINOGUE has taken her romance with model lover ANDRES VELENCOSO SEGURA to the next level - the pair has bought a new house together in London.
The Australian singer has been dating the Spanish hunk for two years but was forced to deny reports they were heading for a split earlier this year (10).
And Minogue and Segura have now shown their commitment to each other by setting up home in a new property.
She tells Britain’s The Sun, "I’m so happy. This year has been full of lots of lovely sparkling new things. Me and Andres have just set up home in a new place. It’s slightly bigger. But we are having to furnish and decorate from scratch again. The new place is more appropriate for my current situation and my family. It feels like a new start in life. I had considered moving for ages and had looked at loads of places without finding anything I liked…
"It’s the sort of place where mum and dad can come and go. It’s so lovely to see the generations together. I’ve also got my own garden for the first time and I’m looking forward to trying a bit of gardening."

CAINE’S BOOK MIRRORED 9/11 HORROR BEFORE IT HAPPENED

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 4:39 pm

SIR MICHAEL CAINE abandoned plans to write his first novel in 2001 after watching in horror as his plot about a terrorist attack came to life during America’s 9/11 tragedy.
The Dark Knight star admits he was left speechless when he realised he had unwittingly predicted the atrocity in his own story about an attack in his native London.
In an interview with Britain’s BBC Radio 4, he says, "I had this plot where terrorists fly a plane into a London skyscraper.
"Then they did it in real life. I was stunned by that, so I stopped writing." Caine is now planning to pick up where he left off - so he can complete the fiction book, "a thriller about terrorism," by the time he turns 80 in 2013.
But the British acting icon warns fans not to expect too high a standard: "It’ll be for guys. It won’t be a great literary effort." Caine releases his second autobiography, The Elephant to Hollywood, this week (begs27Sep10).

LOHAN’S BROTHER BLAMES BAD FRIENDS FOR ACTRESS’ TROUBLES

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 4:36 pm

LINDSAY LOHAN’s younger brother has blamed the actress’ circle of "leechers" for hampering the star’s efforts to overcome her personal troubles after entering rehab for the second time in a month.
The Mean Girls star checked into a treatment centre in Southern California on Tuesday (28Sep10), four days after posting $300,000 (£200,000) bail to walk free from jail after failing two mandatory drug tests.
Lohan is expected to remain in rehab until her next hearing on 22 October (10) and her brother Michael, Jr. is confident the 24 year old will kick her drug demons - as long as she steers clear of the bad influences that have "clouded" her judgement so far.
He tells People.com, "I think that in the past, her vision has been blurred.
"People she was surrounded by - enablers, leeches, whatever you’d like to call it - made things very difficult. It’s quite strenuous to right your wrongs when the people around you help justify your actions. Therefore, cloudy judgment made it easy for her to neglect those trying to guide her.
"People with addictive tendencies do not get better overnight, so that cannot be expected. However, her commitment to her current recovery is a side effect of the realisation of her past mishaps." Michael, Jr., 22, insists Lindsay is well-aware she faces an uphill battle to stay sober and he and his family will support her every step of the way.
He says: "(She’s) well-aware that she’s at a crossroad in life, and is fully committed to ensuring a healthier future.
"She has made conscious efforts to improve her lifestyle behaviours and to treat this process with great care. In order to continue her healing process, she’s willing to take whatever steps necessary.
"We - her mother, brothers, and sister - have been there for Lindsay every step of the way, despite what trashy news reports. And (we) will continue to give her our support and strength during these arduous times." Lohan spent 23 days at a lockdown rehab this summer (10) after serving 13 days in jail for violating her probation on a 2007 DUI arrest.

RONSON NOT BOTHERED BY DEATH THREATS OVER SMITHS COVER

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 4:33 pm

Superproducer MARK RONSON was unfazed by the barrage of death threats he received after covering a song by British band THE SMITHS - because songwriters MORRISSEY and JOHNNY MARR sanctioned the track.
The DJ re-recorded the group’s 1987 song Stop Me If You Think You’ve Heard This One Before with singer Daniel Merriweather for his album Version.
Following the release of the track in 2007, both Ronson and Merriweather were targeted by angry devotees of the band, who sent them grisly warnings via the web.
But Ronson insists the threats didn’t bother him - because The Smiths frontman Morrissey and guitarist Marr were happy with his efforts.
He tells Britain’s NME Radio, "People took umbrage with the fact that I was taking these sacred cows of indie music and doing my own versions of them. If Morrissey and Johnny Marr give their consent I can’t be worried about what some 16 year old in his bedroom thinks.
"But I do like the fact that a 16 year old cares enough to send me a MySpace death threat. As long as he doesn’t follow through on it."

NAVARRO OFFERS ADVICE TO BULLIED TEENS IN OPEN LETTER

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 4:24 pm

Rocker DAVE NAVARRO has penned an open letter to bullied teens urging them not to consider taking their own life.
The Jane’s Addiction guitarist has faced a series of personal tragedies, including the murder of his mother, but is advising youngsters to stay strong following a series of suicides in the U.S. linked to schoolyard bullying.
Navarro was particularly disturbed after learning about the death of 15 year old Billy Lucas from Indiana, who allegedly took his own life earlier this month (Sep10) after he was taunted for being gay.
Now the rocker has reached out to victims of high school harassment, insisting they need to remain strong to pull through.
In an open letter posted on celebrity blogger Perez Hilton’s website, he writes, "You can get through this… The hard cold reality is that once you have chosen suicide, that’s it. No going back. Sure, there is a public outcry and MAYBE the bullies feel remorse for a while, but it all dies down, life goes on, the bullies let the memory fade and get on with their lives…
"Personally, I have seen a lot of darkness and tragedy that has felt insurmountable. The murder of my mother, my battle with drug addiction, the loss of friends and family. Utter depression and despair. Of course the thought of suicide has crossed my mind a time or two.
"Let me share this. THANK GOD I never took that action. The friends I have made, the experiences I have had, the laughter I have shared would have all been missed… To those of you contemplating such a course, please do us a favour. Seek counselling first. Find a network of people who have gone through what you are going through. Help others in even more turmoil than you. I am certain that you can find peace."

REYNOLDS SMASHED UP BURIED SET

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 4:21 pm

RYAN REYNOLDS "freaked" out the cast and crew on his tough new movie BURIED, after breaking down and wrecking the entire set.
The actor endured panic attacks after filming lengthy scenes locked in a coffin, and found the experience particularly disturbing when director Rodrigo Cortes started shouting orders while sand was poured on top of him.
Reynolds admits he didn’t handle the situation effectively - and had to apologise to the crew after lashing out and smashing up the set.
He tells Britain’s The Times, "I had a few moments on set which I think were understandable, but I’m not proud of them. One time, I just completely lost my mind. I saw red. It was a scene in which Rodrigo was yelling directions at me from off camera, sand was pouring into the coffin… and I’m trying to fix this flashlight, and I’m talking into the cellphone… and I just lost it. I smashed everything, literally everything.
"I spent the rest of the day apologising to everybody, because I think it really freaked them out. It was like we were all in there together, really. At the end of the shoot, I broke down sobbing: we all did."
