ROBERT DE NIRO, HOWARD STERN and JENNIFER LOPEZ’s husband MARC ANTHONY ar e among the stars who are licenced to carry a concealed weapon in New Yor k City, according to newly published records.
The trio is among a long list of celebrities who have been granted a pe rmit to keep a gun by city officials, which means they have been able to provide documentation to prove they are either under threat or often carr y large amounts of cash or valuables, reports the New York Daily News.
Anthony’s gun permit is registered under his real name - Marco Antonio Muniz - and means he is entitled to carry a loaded weapon.
Other stars to be granted the right to keep a gun include property mogu l Donald Trump and his son Donald, Jr.
Lawyer John Skylar Chambers tells the newspaper, "We have seen an incre ase in celebs seeking their own permits. They can get their own security, but with the internet, it is much easier to find people. They don’t want to find someone on their lawn at five in the morning."

CEE-LO GREEN is planning to make a brand new video for his expletive-lade n track F**K YOU just for 50 CENT after the rapper came forward as a fan.
The Gnarls Barkley frontman scored millions of hits on YouTube.com last month (Aug10) with the lewd song, which takes aim at a gold-digger ex-gi rlfriend.
The singer has completed a Motown-style promo to match the track for it s official release, but he’s willing to re-shoot the video so he can team up with 50 Cent, who recently paid tribute to the song in his own online version.
Green tells Britain’s Daily Star, "The song had only been out a couple of days so I took it as a compliment.

KELLY ROWLAND has saluted her former DESTINY’S CHILD bandmates by recordi ng a song with British rapper TINIE TEMPAH as a tribute to the defunct gi rl group.
The R&B band, which also launched the careers of Beyonce and Michelle W illiams, achieved stellar critical and commercial success before the sing ers parted ways in 2006.
Tempah is a longtime fan of the band and admits he recruited Rowland to sing on his track Invincible as a special tribute.
He says, "She’s like the coolest chick. The song we do, Invincible, is a very slow ballad type track, very R&B influenced. Rapper M.I.A. is set to fulfil her promise of a free show for New Yorkers - she’s lined up a mystery gig in Brooklyn.
The Paper Planes hitmaker was forced offstage early at the Hard NYC eve nt on Govenors Island in July (10) when a huge thunderstorm broke out, sp arking fears she could be electrocuted.
The early finish prompted criticism from some fans - and the British st ar responded by promising to play a free concert in the Big Apple for all ticketholders.
And now M.I.A. has made good on her vow - she’s lined up a show at the Brooklyn Bowl venue but has yet to reveal the date.
In a post on her Twitter.com page, she writes, "The Brooklyn Bowl! Conf irmed for NYC free show!" No further details were given but it’s believed the rapper - who is cur rently on tour and is due to play at New York’s Terminal 5 on Monday (27S ep10) - will perform at the venue in late September (10) or early October (10).

The Irish singer flashes the flesh as she writhes around in a tiny blac k dress in the promo for Insatiable, but TV viewers won’t be able to see the saucy scenes after the footage "failed" a standards test.
Coyle admits producers will now attempt to re-edit the video to make it suitable for TV audiences.

Movie tough guy RAY WINSTONE broke down in tears when he watched his daug hter JAIME’s latest movie - because the film reminded him of his own hard working mum.
Jaime Winstone stars in Made In Dagenham alongside Bob Hoskins and Rosa mund Pike, about a group of female workers in the 1960s who protest over sexual discrimination and launch a campaign for equal pay.
And the film was an emotional experience for the Sexy Beast actor, who is still fuming over his mother’s working environment when he was growing up.

British Olympic hero JAMES CRACKNELL has suffered severe memory loss sinc e cheating death in a bike accident in July (10) but he still has somethi ng to celebrate - his wife is expecting their third child.
The rowing ace was filming a cycling programme for the Discovery Channe l in the U.S. when he was hit by a truck in Arizona.
He has revealed the accident jolted his brain and he now suffers proble ms with concentration, memory and his temper - but Cracknell’s recuperati on was boosted with some good news when his wife Beverley Turner discover ed she is pregnant.
The gold medal-winning sportsman tells Britain’s Daily Telegraph, "When the truck’s wing mirror hit me on the back of the head some of the impac t was absorbed by my helmet… Although I was very disorientated and agit ated for some time, just knowing I’d been hit by a truck made me feel luc ky to be alive…
"There is a crucial window of three weeks from the accident to regainin g consistent memory. Within that window a full recovery is on the cards; outside of that and there are no guarantees. I have ‘islands of memory’ b ut no consistency, so there are no guarantees. I can’t drive and will hav e to be reassessed.
"I can’t drink for between six months and a year as the neurons in my b rain rejoin. I will never be able to work at the same pace as before or b e able to grasp complex theories. Although to be honest I’ve always tende d to steer clear of the latter." But Cracknell is adamant he will make a full recovery to be at his wife ’s side when she gives birth.
He adds, "I’m so proud of her and our unborn child for the way they hav e looked after each other and I’m determined to make sure I make a full r ecovery to be there for (my family)."

LEONARDO DiCAPRIO met with a leading Indian politician last week (begs20S ep10) as part of his campaign to preserve the world’s tiger population.
The Titanic star announced in May (10) he has pledged his support to th e World Wildlife Fund’s Save Tigers Now initiative, which aims to raise $ 20 million (=C2=A313 million) to help double the number of the species by 2022.

London Fashion Week has been plunged into scandal after a model alleged s he was raped after one of the shows.
Stars from across the globe flew in to the British capital to watch the world’s top models strut down the runway during the event, which ran fro m 17-21 September (10).
But the style celebration has been rocked after one of the models, who remains nameless, alleged she was sexually assaulted at a hotel after a d ay on the catwalk, according to the New York Post.
New York-based hairdresser Shawn Mount, 30, who is married to Chanel mo del Heidi Mount, was arrested on suspicion of rape.
He was bailed to return to a London police station in November (10). No charges have been filed.
A spokesperson from London’s Scotland Yard police department says, "We received a complaint of a serious sexual assault at 1.30am on September 2 0 at a central London hotel. The 24-year-old victim was referred to the H aven Centre (a victim support centre). A 30-year-old man was arrested on September 21 on suspicion of rape and bailed to return to a London police station in November. He has not been charged and we are still investigat ing."

Actress ILLEANA DOUGLAS has filed for a restraining order against a "ment ally ill" woman who has allegedly threatened to burn her "house down".
The Cape Fear star filed papers at Los Angeles County Superior Court on Thursday (23Sep10) asking a judge to keep the unnamed female, said to be a co-worker’s wife, away from her.
In the documents, Douglas claims the woman was recently detained by pol ice for an alleged attack on her husband and mistakenly believes the actr ess is the reason for her arrest.
Douglas goes on to allege the woman is "mentally ill" and has threatene d to "burn my house down" and "spend the rest of her life ‘getting me,’" according to TMZ.com.
