GRAMMER’S WIFE FORCED HIM TO PUT ON UNDERWEAR

KELSEY GRAMMER had to be forced to don underwear on the set of his hit si tcom FRASIER after his co-stars reportedly complained to his wife CAMILLE about his lack of briefs.
The TV actor, who split from Camille Donatacci earlier this year (10), is said to have had a penchant for going commando during his years on the popular 1990s series, much to his castmates’ disdain.
And they became so disgusted by his failure to wear undergarments, they begged Camille to convince him to change his ways, according to FoxNews.
com.
The website claims Camille makes the revelation during next month’s (Oc t10) season premiere of U.S. reality show The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, after joining the programme over the summer (10) as her marriage f ell apart.
She reportedly says, "The cast of Frasier came to me and asked me to ge t him to wear underwear. They were sick of him not wearing any." Grammer has since moved on to date Kayte Walsh and the couple announced in August (10) it was expecting its first baby together. The child will be the actor’s fifth.

CARELL EYEING MOVIE MAGIC IN SIEGFRIED & ROY SPOOF

Funnyman STEVE CARELL is in talks to make movie magic in a new comedy loo sely based on famed Las Vegas illusionist duo Siegfried & Roy.
The comedian, who will wrap his final season on hit U.S. TV series The Office next March (11), is negotiating a deal with bosses at New Line Cin ema to star in new movie Burt Wonderstone.
Carell would play the title character, a Vegas magician who is one-half of a sensational two-man team, similar to Siegfried & Roy.
According to TheWrap.com, the film will chronicle Carell’s character as he rediscovers his love for magic after his partner dies in a risky stun t.
Real-life illusionists Roy Horn and Siegfried Fischbacher announced the ir retirement in April (10) - over six years after Horn was savaged on st age by his pet white tiger during a show. The incident left him partially paralysed.

LOTT’S DESIGNER CLOTHES SALE

British singer PIXIE LOTT is raising money for charity by selling off her collection of free designer clothes and handbags.
The Boys and Girls hitmaker regularly receives bundles of posh frocks a nd accessories from label bosses eager to link her to their brand.
But the pop star admits she now has too many clothes to wear - so she p lans to sell them off in aid of a good cause.
Lott tells Britain’s Sunday Times Magazine, "I get clothes and accessor ies from different brands delivered to my house every day. It’s lovely st uff, but I don’t get the chance to wear it all. I’m arranging to have a l ot of it sold and I’ll give the money to charity."

OSBOURNE USED COCAINE AS FOOT TREATMENT

Rocker OZZY OSBOURNE once poured cocaine on his toes in a bizarre attempt to cure his athlete’s foot.
The former Black Sabbath frontman occasionally suffers from the fungal infection and struggled to find a remedy while he was touring in the 1980 s.
And when the rock wildman was told his stash of cocaine was cut with fo ot powder - he rubbed it on his itching toes to ease his discomfort.
In his health column for Britain’s Sunday Times Magazine, Osbourne writ es, "Funnily enough, in the 1980s I used to cure athlete’s foot by pourin g cocaine on my toes. They cut the stuff with so much foot powder back th en, it was the best treatment you could find if you had an outbreak on th e road. The only problem was the price, which was around =C2=A33,000 a to e."

FOLLOWILL AD-LIBBED KINGS LYRICS

KINGS OF LEON frontman CALEB FOLLOWILL felt like a fraud during work on t he band’s new album COME AROUND SUNDOWN because he ad-libbed the lyrics t o most of the songs.
The singer didn’t write any words to the tracks, preferring instead to improvise during the group’s recording sessions.
Followill insists he intended to go back and change the lyrics to somet hing more meaningful, but the move was vetoed by his bandmates who liked the songs as they were.
He tells Uncut magazine, "I didn’t write lyrics. I went in and ad-libbe d, I free-floated everything. The closer it got to the end, I felt like, ‘Man, you didn’t do your job.’ "I kept thinking, ‘When I go back and redo the lyrics, then I’ll get it ‘. But when I went back in to try to do that, everyone was like, ‘What ar e you doing? You can’t change those lyrics. Those are the lyrics.’" (LR/N

BARAT FEARS BOOK WILL ANGER DOHERTY

British rocker CARL BARAT fears his upcoming memoirs will ruin his reform ed partnership with PETE DOHERTY - because he used the book to detail his pal’s outrageous behaviour.
The pair found fame in the U.K. as co-frontmen of The Libertines, but t he band split in 2004 after Barat fell out with drug addict Doherty over his erratic ways.
They eventually renewed their friendship and reformed the rock band to play sets at the Reading and Leeds festivals in the summer (10) - but Bar at fears their comeback could be marred by his tell-all book.
In Threepenny Memoir: The Lives of a Libertine - which is due for relea se later this month (Sep10) - Barat catalogues notorious incidents when D oherty burgled his apartment and faked his signature on cheques.
Barat tells The Observer Magazine, "His reputation precedes him, and I wanted to write without slinging mud. Obviously things he did really hurt me and if I felt bitter about something it was hard to write objectively .. I’m very scared that he’s going to misread it."

PERRY TO JOIN THE SIMPSONS

KATY PERRY is swapping SESAME STREET for THE SIMPSONS - the singer has si gned up to star in a special live action episode of the longrunning TV co medy.
The pop star was due to make a cameo appearance in the hit kids’ show a longside beloved character Elmo later this year (10), but the sketch was scrapped following a swathe of complaints from parents over her skimpy ou tfit.
Now Perry has found herself a role in the more adult The Simpsons, in a Christmas episode which will see the famous family transformed into pupp ets.
Perry will play herself in the unusual live action sequence and lead th e cast in a spoof rendition of classic carol The 12 Days of Christmas.
The Simpsons executive producer Al Jean confirmed the news to Entertain ment Weekly magazine and poked fun at Perry’s dismissal from Sesame Stree t.
He says, "In the wake of Elmo’s terrible betrayal, The Simpsons puppets wish to announce they stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Katy Perry." (LR/E

RAMONE’S SIGN MOVED

A sign in New York City commemorating late punk legend JOEY RAMONE has be en moved following a series of thefts.
The corner of Bowery and East 2nd Street in Manhattan was renamed Joey Ramone Place in 2003 as a lasting tribute to the singer, who lived nearby and played at the local CBGB music club during his early years with the Ramones.
City officials have been forced to replace the sign on numerous occasio ns because determined fans keep stealing it, and following the latest the ft they have now moved it to 20 feet (six metres) above street level in a bid to deter the vandals.
But the star’s bandmate Marky Ramone fears fans will have trouble spott ing the sign now it is so far off the ground.
He tells the New York Post, "He (Joey) would have appreciated the disti nction, but maybe they should find a better way to attach it. Now you hav e to be an NBA (basketball) player to see it.
"Every time I turn down 2nd Street, I look up and say, ‘Hey Joey, you b elong up there.’ It’s a really nice tribute to a frontman who started the genre we call punk rock." Joey Ramone died in 2001.

SLASH CONSIDERED ROSE FOR SOLO ALBUM

SLASH considered ending his longrunning feud with former GUNS N’ ROSES ba ndmate AXL ROSE during the making of his solo album - because he was desp erate for the singer to join him in the studio.
The guitarist quit the legendary band in the 1990s after a famous falli ng out with Rose and hasn’t spoken to his former friend in years.
But Slash admits that while he was recruiting singers to lend vocals to tracks on his recent self-titled solo record, he thought about asking Ro se to help.
He tells Classic Rock, "When I was in the middle of this process there were a lot of singers’ names who flew through my mind during the process.
You are living in ‘Singer Land’ so all you are thinking about is singers .. The thought of him crossed my mind at one point. I thought, ‘Axl could sing the shit out of any of these songs’." But Slash "never made the call" and jokingly cites Gun N’ Roses’ long-g estating album Chinese Democracy, which took more than a decade to make, as his reasoning.

BARNES SHOCKED BY LOVE CHILDREN DISCOVERY

Scottish rocker JIMMY BARNES has spoken of his shock at discovering he is the father of two grown-up daughters.
The musician is dad to four children with his wife, Jane, as well as a son from a previous relationship, but recently found out he is also fathe r to two daughters with two different women and only met the girls this y ear (10).
Barnes went through the "correct procedure" to prove the women - Amanda Bennett, 36, and Megan Torzyn, 37, both from Adelaide, Australia - are d efinitely his biological children and admits he is delighted to have unex pectedly expanded his family.
The Cold Chisel singer, who moved to Australia as a child, says, "My ki ds are all so great that when I found out there were a couple more, I fel t they would be good people - and they’re lovely girls. My only regret is not knowing them when they were younger, but life is what it is and all things happen for a reason. At the time it was probably better for them t hat they didn’t know me, because I was pretty wild." Barnes also discovered his new-found daughter Bennett went to the same school as his grown-up son David Campbell and the pair knew each other du ring their formative years without ever realising they were related.
Bennett says, "The funny thing is that everyone knew David was Jimmy’s son, and we used to pay him out (ridicule him) for it. I remember telling him: ‘Yeah right, everyone’s a friend or a cousin or a son of Barnesy ar ound here’. And then I learned that I was his daughter!"

GAGA’S GRANDFATHER DIES

LADY GAGA is in mourning following the death of her beloved grandfather o n Friday (24Sep10).
The pop superstar jetted back to her native New York last week (ends26S ep10) to visit 88-year-old Joseph Germanotta at the Lincoln Park nursing home in New Jersey on Wednesday (22Sep10).
Joseph sadly passed away two days after his famous granddaughter’s visi t.
Gaga previously spoke out about her grandfather’s health troubles at a show in Nottingham, England earlier this year (10), telling the crowd, "I don’t always talk about my personal life but my grandpa’s sick. I’m real ly close with my grandpa and he’s really sick and he’s in the States and my dad’s with him. So I was, like, crying all day, really sad. So I thoug ht I would be honest and tell you that’s what’s going on… It’s been one of those tough things that my grandpa’s too old to come to my show." Germanotta’s obituary, published in the New Jersey Star-Ledger, asked f or donations to be made in lieu of flowers to the Michael J. Fox Foundati on for Parkinson’s Research.

RYCROFT MISINFORMED ABOUT BABY’S SEX

Pregnant U.S. TV star MELISSA RYCROFT was given a shock when doctors admi tted they wrongly identified the sex of her baby.
The Bachelor star is expecting her first child with husband Tye Strickl and and admits she "got all excited" after medics revealed the gender of the child she’s expecting.
But the 27 year old was stunned when she returned to the clinic a few w eeks later, only to be told there had been an error.
Rycroft reveals doctors got the results wrong and she is still waiting to find out the truth.
She explains to People.com, "We got our first report, got all excited a nd then we went back a few weeks later and it was a conflicting report. W e’re (still) not sure, hopefully in the next week or two we’ll get 100 pe r cent confirmation."

KATHERINE HEIGL has opened up about the worst date of her life - a cheap dinner with her former fitness instructor who saw the romantic night out as a career opportunity.

WINSTONE’S HEARTACHE OVER HOOKER ROLE

British actress JAIME WINSTONE had a harrowing time researching her role as a murdered prostitute - she met with the woman’s devastated family to perfect the character.
Winstone, daughter of The Departed star Ray Winstone, took on the part of Anneli Alderton in Five Daughters, a BBC drama telling the story of fi ve sex workers murdered by serial killer Steve Wright in England in 2006.
And preparing for the role left the young actress distraught after she held talks with Alderton’s relatives to get a greater understanding of th e woman she was playing.
Winstone tells Britain’s Sunday Express, "That was different because my character, Anneli Alderton, was a real person and suffered so much. The script was very well written but I wanted to know a bit more about her so I had some contact with the family.
"I was so concerned about getting it right for them. I think we all wan ted to show that these girls weren’t just prostitutes - they were people.
I did feel quite upset then. I thought of my mum, her mum and what these girls went through." Wright was jailed for life in 2008 after being found guilty of all five murders.

Garcia tells Britain’s Sunday Times Magazine, "Dominik was the first an d she suffered more protectiveness from me than the others. She never had a key: she’d have to ring the bell when she came home after a date - I w anted to see what condition she was in.
"She never had a steady boyfriend in school; I didn’t think it was heal thy at that age… So I’d joke: ‘When a boy comes to pick you up it wasn’ t my job to like them. It was my job to make them fear me. If they proved to be the love of your life, fine: otherwise they’d need to feel the wra th of the father.’" And his City Island star daughter confesses her dad’s behaviour had an odd effect on her love life: "As a teenager I wasn’t allowed to do anythi ng: I had a curfew; I wasn’t allowed a key to my house; I couldn’t have p arties.
"The first time I brought a serious boyfriend home I was in my twenties .. I wanted to visit this boy in college and Dad said: ‘I don’t know… wh ere are you sleeping? In a hotel?’ And I said: ‘No, I’m sleeping in his h ouse. Look, I’m 23!’"

FUSSY DUHAMEL WAS ‘SCARED OF DATING’

MOORE LAUGHS OFF BLINDNESS RUMOUR

DEMI MOORE has laughed off a rumour she has been left partially blind fol lowing a botched operation - insisting she often wears glasses as she suf fered from a lazy eye as a child.
The Hollywood actress was answering questions from her fans on Friday ( 24Sep10) during a chat on her Twitter.com page, and when one follower ask ed her about the blindness rumours she opened up about her previous sight problems, admitting she spent years wearing an embarrassing eye patch.

HATHAWAY’S JEWELS RAISE $44,000

Jewellery given to ANNE HATHAWAY by her convict ex-boyfriend RAFFAELLO FO LLIERI has helped raise more than $44,000 (=C2=A329,333) at auction to pa y back the conman’s victims.
The Italian businessman was jailed for four-and-a-half years in Decembe r 2008 after pleading guilty to 14 counts of wire fraud, conspiracy and m oney laundering.
The Hollywood actress, who dumped Follieri shortly before his arrest, w as forced to hand over all the expensive gifts he had lavished on her dur ing their four-year relationship for prosecutors to use as evidence in th e case.
