He tells Britain’s The Sun, "I have an imagination and ideas but when I started out, because I spoke the way I spoke and I dressed the way I dre ssed, people didn’t take me seriously. But I was never bitter about that.
"I understood why I was treated like that - because I sounded just like all the other kids in my generation that shouldn’t have been taken serio usly because they were f**king idiots.
"Kids on the streets could connect with what I was doing because I was speaking their language and writing about what they were doing. But the p eople outside of London who didn’t live in that environment and didn’t re alise it existed thought I was exaggerating it or glamorising it.
"So they completely got me wrong, wrote me off and judged me as this ig norant white rapper from a council estate, which I’m not. The next challe nge was to show those people that I was not a wannabe black man from a co uncil estate."

GIBB SHRUGS OFF ‘OPEN MARRIAGE’ RUMOURS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:18 pm

Former BEE GEES star ROBIN GIBB has played down rumours he enjoys an ‘ope n marriage’ - insisting he and wife DWINA are more "conservative" than mo st couples.
Reports suggesting the couple enjoy relations outside their 24-year mar riage hit the headlines last year (09) after the singer fathered a child with his 34-year-old housekeeper.
The news appeared to cement long-held speculation that the pair had oth er sexual partners, following comments Gibb made to U.S. shock jock DJ Ho ward Stern in the 1990s about the pair’s love of threesomes.
But Gibb has backtracked on his risque remarks, insisting he was only j oking with Stern and that he enjoys a "free relationship" with his wife r ather than a sexually liberated one.
He tells Britain’s Daily Mail, "It wasn’t a serious interview. Howard S tern was making up stories about his wife and other women, so I plugged i nto the joke. I was having fun in his world.
"We’ve never really said we have an open marriage. People like to imagi ne you’ve got a certain lifestyle, but it’s not quite like that at all…
We actually have a very conservative relationship - more so than the ave rage couple. We don’t drink or smoke. We’re not partying all the time. My idea of a good time is creating something and reading a good book.
"Look, we’re not stuffed shirts. We have a free relationship. We give e ach other time and space to pursue activities - that doesn’t mean other p eople. But people have got to see it in terms of freedom of sex, because that’s the way they think. The average person can’t get it into their hea d that you don’t have to be talking about the physical the whole time. Yo u can have individual freedom of space without that."

BECKHAM LAWYERS SERVE HOOKER WITH WRIT

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:12 pm

Lawyers working for soccer superstar DAVID BECKHAM have served a $25 mill ion (=C2=A316 million) writ on hooker IRMA NICI - accusing her of causing him "great mental anguish" with allegations they slept together.
Nici hit headlines around the world last week (begs20Sep10) when she se nsationally claimed Beckham had paid for her services on two occasions in 2007.
The sportsman immediately launched legal action against Nici and In Tou ch magazine, which published the story - and on Monday (27Sep10) a repres entative served papers on Nici in New York, alleging the former prostitut e has falsely accused Beckham of "criminal and adulterous activity".
The nine-page dossier states Nici’s allegations have "adversely affecte d him in his professional life as an athlete, endorser and charity spokes person" and imply that he risked the health of his wife - former Spice Gi rl Victoria - by bedding a sex worker.
Beckham is demanding a massive $25 million in damages for libel, slande r and intentional infliction of emotional distress, and is pressing for t he case to be heard in front of a jury.
The documents state, "The defamatory statements about Beckham are libel lous and slanderous. These statements falsely accuse Beckham of criminal and adulterous activity. The defamatory statements expose him to hatred, contempt, ridicule and obloquy because they inaccurately portray Beckham as an unfaithful husband who put his wife’s health at risk by engaging in sexual acts with prostitutes." A separate section adds, "Nici’s defamatory statements falsely portray Beckham as having engaged in immoral and criminal acts by soliciting pros titutes for extramarital affairs." A representative for the star initially served the papers by jamming th em underneath the windscreen wipers of Nici’s car as she tried to flee in New York on Monday afternoon - but she was later handed the writ at her lawyer’s offices.
A source tells Britain’s The Sun, "She looked totally unfussed as she l ooked through the writ for the first time. She just smiled and didn’t loo k bothered. It is yet another outrageous show from her."
