BUBLE PLAYS BIEBER IN NEW VIDEO

Even Canadian crooner MICHAEL BUBLE has ‘Bieber Fever’ - he’s set to port ray the teen pop sensation in a new video.
The singer dons a number of outrageous disguises as he mimics Justin Bi eber and movie icons Clint Eastwood and James Dean in the promo for new s ong Hollywood.
In the video, Buble portrays a cast of famous figures while strolling t hrough various movie sets on a Hollywood back lot.
The video was shot by award-winning director Rich Lee, the man behind E minem’s explosive Not Afraid promo.
Buble says, "You can see how much fun I had playing these characters. T his video is about celebrity culture and people’s dreams about fame… An d of course a reminder that it’s important to remember what’s real and wh at isn’t."

BARRINO ANNOUNCES U.S. TOUR WEEKS AFTER SUICIDE ATTEMPT

Troubled singer FANTASIA BARRINO will hit the road for a U.S. tour in Nov ember (10) - three months after her failed suicide attempt.
The former American Idol star survived a drug overdose on 9 August (10) and later shocked fans by revealing the scare wasn’t an accident and she meant to take her own life.
Barrino was quick to move forward with her music career; she took the f irst step toward putting the incident behind her with a Las Vegas concert on 27 August (10) - her first performance after the suicide attempt - an d the singer is pushing through her personal struggles by diving back int o work.
Barrino will kick off the 30-city Back to Me tour in Richmond, Virginia on 4 November (10).
Announcing the news, she says, "I’m so excited about this tour and havi ng the chance to connect with my fans, the people that love me and have b een supporting me through everything. This tour is going to be a real spe cial, intimate experience for them and for me."

DOHERTY CHARGED WITH COCAINE POSSESSION

British rocker PETE DOHERTY has been charged with cocaine possession foll owing an investigation into the death of filmmaker ROBIN WHITEHEAD.
Whitehead, who was working on a documentary about the troubled Libertin es star, was found dead from a suspected drug overdose in an apartment in Hackney, London in January (10).
Doherty and two friends, Peter Wolfe and Alan Wass, have each been char ged with possession, while Wolfe has also been charged with supplying coc aine.
All three men are due to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court on 18 Octo ber (10).
Doherty was one of four people questioned following the death of the 27 year old.

PITT’S AMERICAN GIRL TRIP WAS A BIRTHDAY PARTY

BRAD PITT’s odd American Girl Place store visit, which brought Los Angele s shopping mall The Grove to a standstill on Saturday (25Sep10), has been explained - he was attending a birthday party with daughter ZAHARA.
The movie star caused chaos when he suddenly stepped out of an SUV and headed into the store - and now Life & Style magazine has the lowdown on his visit.
Pitt was there to attend a sixth birthday party thrown by rocker pal Ch ris Cornell for his daughter Toni, who is best friends with Zahara.
A source tells the magazine, "It was just Brad, Zahara, the Cornell fam ily and one other little girl. The three girls were inseparable." And even though the store is designed to give little girls the experien ce of their life, Pitt appeared to enjoy his visit.
The source adds, "Brad went around the store holding Zahara’s hand and looking at the dolls and dresses. The staff explained the dolls’ historie s, and Brad and Z were just lapping it up. Brad was very attentive to Zah ara. He’s a great dad."

COOPER REFORMS SYNTH POP HEAVY METAL ACT

MAMMA MIA! star DOMINIC COOPER has reformed his teenage rock band DAGMAR after teaming up with his bandmate brother to pen new tracks for his late st film TAMARA DREWE.
The British actor plays brooding rock star Ben Sergeant in the film and he got a taste for performing again as he took to the stage at the 2009 End of The Road festival to shoot a concert scene with his fictitious pun k band Swipe for the film.
That, and the chance to co-write the band’s songs with his brother Nath an, gave Cooper a hunger to get back into music.
He tells WENN, "I formed a band with my brother; Dagmar we were called.
I was copying my brother. He was always in bands and I was always a bit jealous.
"It was a mix of 80s synth and heavy metal. It was a terrible combinati on. The band wasn’t very successful but we’re getting back together. It w as very fun to be part of a real band in Tamara Drewe.
"My brother wrote all the music for the band Swipe in the film. It was great to finally collaborate with him and write some music because it was important to feel that the band was very believable… It had to be real and catchy and I knew that my brother had been writing a lot of music, a nd he got songs together very quickly.
"To perform with him on stage in the film in front of an audience who w ere obligated to enjoy our music was very exciting."

JONES GETS THREE YEARS PROBATION FOR SEX OFFENDER VIOLATION

FERRIS BUELLER’S DAY OFF star JEFFREY JONES has been sentenced to three y ears probation for failing to update his sex offender registration last y ear (09).
The actor was arrested in 2003 after he was caught in possession of chi ld pornography and for employing a 14-year-old boy to pose for inappropri ate images.
The possession of child pornography charge was subsequently dropped aft er Jones pleaded no contest to inducing a minor to pose for sexually expl icit photographs. He was sentenced to five years’ probation and ordered t o register as a sex offender every year.
But Jones was taken into custody in June (10) after allegedly failing t o update the register on his 63rd birthday on 28 September (09).
He was freed on $20,000 (GBP13,330) bail and appeared in a Los Angeles court one year later on Tuesday (28Sep10), when he pleaded guilty to the charge of failing to update his sex offender registration.
Jones was also ordered to complete 250 hours of community service in a roadside clean-up programme.

TARANTINO’S ‘ROAST’ POSTPONED AFTER MENKE’S DEATH

QUENTIN TARANTINO has postponed his upcoming induction into New York’s le gendary Friars Club following the death of his longtime friend and film e ditor SALLY MENKE.
The Pulp Fiction director was set to become the organisation’s latest f igure of fun at the annual ‘roast’ on Friday (01Oct10), with Uma Thurman, Eli Roth and Patricia Arquette all expected to rip into Tarantino with t raditional mocking tributes.
But the event at the New York Hilton has been delayed following Menke’s untimely demise.
A statement released on Tuesday afternoon reads, "The Friars roast of Q uentin Tarantino, scheduled for Friday (Oct 1st) in New York, has been po stponed due to the death today of Sally Menke - longtime editor, collabor ator and dear friend of Mr. Tarantino." The film editor was hiking with her dog in Beachwood Canyon in the swel tering Los Angeles heat on Monday (27Sep10) and alarms were raised when s he failed to return home.
Authorities discovered Menke’s body in the early hours of Tuesday (28Se p10).
Menke, 56, worked on all of Tarantino’s movies, and picked up Oscar nom inations for her work on Pulp Fiction and last year’s (09) Inglorious Bas terds.
A cause of death has yet to be determined.
A new date for Tarantino’s Friars Club roast is expected to be announce d in the coming weeks.

The actor has been dating writer/actress Lauren Miller since 2004. Both are 28.
A source close to the couple tells Life & Style magazine, "He surprised her with the proposal. She’d started giving up hope that he would ever p op the question." Rogen is sure to be one happy man - he previously stated, "I have a gir lfriend who is far prettier than I should have."

LOHAN BACK IN REHAB

LINDSAY LOHAN has checked into a rehabilitation facility in Southern Cali fornia in a desperate bid to kick her drug demons once and for all.
The Mean Girls star, who has been in and out of jail and rehab in recen t weeks, was placed behind bars for a 30-day sentence without bail on Fri day (24Sep10) after violating her probation and failing two mandatory dru g tests.
Her attorney appealed Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Elden S. Fox’s s urprise decision and won Lohan the right to walk free hours later after p osting $300,000 (=C2=A3200,000) bail.
And the troubled star is hoping to overcome her personal problems by th e time she is next due in court on 22 October (10) - by voluntarily admit ting herself into a treatment centre on Tuesday (29Sep10), according to T MZ.com.

LIL KIM OPENS SECOND SALON

Rapper LIL KIM is expanding her venture into hair and beauty - she’s laun ched a new salon in North Carolina.
The Lady Marmalade hitmaker opened the first Salon Se Swa branch in Ral eigh in 2004 with her cousin Katrise Jones and the pair has now turned th e store into a chain, opening their second branch in Charlotte.
The star’s family and friends helped the two celebrate their success by joining in a champagne toast and ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday (25 Sep10) to officially open the salon.

WEINBERG PARTS WAYS WITH O’BRIEN BEFORE LAUNCH OF NEW SHOW

BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN’s E STREET BAND drummer MAX WEINBERG has stepped down a s bandleader for U.S. TV comedian CONAN O’BRIEN, weeks before the funnyma n launches his new late night show.
Weinberg, who led O’Brien’s Late Night and Tonight Show bands for 17 ye ars, won’t be joining the star when he launches his new programme on Amer ica’s TBS network on 8 November (10).
In a statement to the New York Post, Weinberg described the split as "m utual", adding, "I wish Conan and his show the best, and I do look forwar d to dropping by." Jimmy Vivino, the O’Brien band’s longtime guitarist/keyboardist, will r eplace Weinberg as bandleader. A new drummer has yet to be announced.

RAP MOGUL BABY DISMISSES A MILLI LAWSUIT

LIL WAYNE’s record label boss BRYAN ‘BABY’ WILLIAMS has no intention of s ettling an unpaid royalties lawsuit with producer BANGLADESH - because th e beatmaker caused the stars legal problems by using an old sample withou t their knowledge.
The producer, real name Shondrae Crawford, filed a $500,000 (=C2=A3333, 300) suit against Wayne and executives at Cash Money Records in May (10), accusing them of failing to adequately compensate him for his work on th e rapper’s 2007 hit A Milli.
But Williams has dismissed Crawford’s claims, blaming him for causing t he label more headaches after they were sued for copyright infringement s temming from a track the producer used on A Milli.
The rap mogul tells the Los Angeles Times, "There is no merit to this c laim. Bangladesh incorporated a sample without informing Cash Money. (We have) successfully settled the copyright infringement claims that Banglad esh caused with other third parties and his producer and composition shar es were wiped out by the sample owners."

NEIL LAUNCHING CHARITY INITIATIVE FOR CANCER-STRICKEN KIDS

MOTLEY CRUE frontman VINCE NEIL is set to launch a charity initiative for child cancer patients in honour of his late daughter.
The rocker’s daughter Skylar, with ex-wife Sharise Ruddell, lost her ba ttle with a rare form of paediatric cancer called Wilms’ Tumor in 1995.
The grieving star set up the Skylar Neil Memorial Foundation to raise m oney for children diagnosed with the disease.
And now Neil has teamed up with The Pablove Foundation founder Jeff Cas telaz - who lost his own daughter, Pablo Thrailkill Castelaz, to the rare disease - for a new joint project to raise money and awareness for their respective organisations.
The pair will return to the centre where their kids were treated, the C hildren’s Hospital Los Angeles, to announce the effort on Tuesday (28Sep1 0).

URBAN AND PAISLEY TO RELAUNCH GRAND OLE OPRY

KEITH URBAN and BRAD PAISLEY will help to celebrate the reopening of coun try music mecca the Grand Ole Opry on Tuesday night (28Sep10), four month s after severe floods wreaked havoc on the fabled venue.
Opry bosses were forced to close down the Nashville, Tennessee auditori um in May (10) when heavy storms caused water to sweep through the venue and destroy the stage, dressing rooms and retail store.
They have spent an estimated $17 million (=C2=A311.3 million) on renova tions and now the building is set to relaunch with an all-star line-up le d by Urban and Paisley.
The duo will also be joined by the likes of Martina McBride, Blake Shel ton and Dierks Bentley for the show, titled Country Comes Home: An Opry C elebration, which will be broadcast live online.
The May (10) floods did little to dampen the spirit of the Opry and exe cutives insisted the show must go on, with scheduled performances taking place at various venues around Nashville while country music’s original h ome was restored to its former glory.

BON JOVI, COOPER AND DIAMOND AMONG HALL OF FAME NOMINEES

BON JOVI, ALICE COOPER and NEIL DIAMOND have landed nominations to be ind ucted into the prestigious Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as the class of 201 0.
The stars join fellow first-time nominees Dr. John and Donovan, while D onna Summer, Tom Waits and rap acts LL Cool J and the Beastie Boys will b e keeping their fingers crossed once more to be recognised as music royal ty with the industry’s highest honour.
The contenders for the 2010 Hall of Fame accolade were announced on Tue sday (28Sep10), but the artists will have to wait until December (10) to learn if they have been selected to go down in history, and the ceremony will take place in March (11) in New York.
The nomination will be a dream come true for Bon Jovi - last year (09), frontman Jon Bon Jovi insisted the hitmakers deserved to be honoured bes ide Elvis Presley and The Beatles after rocking out for 26 years.
He said, "I would really like to be (inducted). I intend to be, because , in all honestly, I would like to be a part of Elvis and the Beatles and The (Rolling) Stones’ history. We’ve sold a lot of records and influence d another generation of fans, and the music has got staying power." To qualify for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame recognition, acts must ha ve released its first songs at least 25 years ago.

RUSSELL BRAND NAMED WORST DRESSED MAN IN SHOWBIZ

Flamboyant funnyman RUSSELL BRAND needs to pick up some style tips before he marries KATY PERRY later this year (10) - he’s been voted the Worst D ressed Man in showbiz in an online poll.
The long-haired comedian’s penchant for medallions and black, chest-rev ealing outfits has earned him 31 per cent of votes in the WENN.com poll.
Brand is closely followed in second place by baseball cap-loving teen p op star Justin Bieber, whose legion of fans couldn’t stop him amassing 26 per cent of votes.
Simon Cowell, whose style was often mocked on his talent shows The X Fa ctor and American Idol, landed in third with 21 per cent, ahead of Idol r unner up Adam Lambert with 16 per cent.
Style icon Kanye West rounded out the poll in fifth place with just six per cent.
