BARKER THRILLED TO BE BACK HOME IN FONTANA FOR EPICENTER FESTIVAL
Headlining this weekend’s (25-26Sep10) Epicenter Twenty Ten festival in F ontana, California will be extra special for BLINK-182 star TRAVIS BARKER because he attended the local high school.
The drummer and his band will play their only U.S. show of the year on Sunday night (26Sep10) when they hit the stage at the two-day event, and Barker admits he’s excited about going home.
The Fontana native says, "I lived there up until the time I was 16 or 1 7… I have memories of being in band at Fontana Junior High, entering hi gh school and drum line and going into jazz band - a lot of good and bad memories.
"Back then, my only goal was to make enough money to eat and have somew here to live and play drums. It was good to grow up there… My family st ill lives in the area so I’m always out there visiting them." Blink-182 will close the festival, which will also be headlined by Emin em, House of Pain, Kiss and Suicidal Tendencies.
