COURT YARD HOUNDS SCRAP AUSTRALIAN SHOWS
DIXIE CHICKS spin-off band COURT YARD HOUNDS have pulled out of a series of shows in Australia.
The duo is comprised of Dixie Chicks sisters Martie Maguire and Emily R obison who formed the group while the band is on hiatus.
But they have postponed plans to make their debut Down Under next month (Oct10) by quitting the A Taste of Lilith tour, an all-female series of shows based on the North American Lilith Fair trek.
The singers are said to have pulled out after the tour dates were chang ed. The shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane will feature other artists including Lilith Fair co-founder Sarah McLachlan, Kate Miller-He idke and The Verses.
The news is the latest setback for the girls-only tour, which saw the N orth American leg marred by poor ticket sales and artist drop-outs. (LR/W
