KARKWA WIN POLARIS PRIZE
Indie rockers KARKWA are the toast of the Canadian music scene after land ing the coveted 2010 Polaris Prize.
The band’s fourth album, Les Chemins De Verre, scooped them the country ’s highest musical honour after it was declared the best release of the l ast 12 months.
The group saw off competition from acts including Caribou, The Besnard Lakes and Broken Social Scene to take the $20,000 (=C2=A313,300) cash pri ze.
