COLLINS’ GUITARS UP FOR AUCTION
A guitar veteran singer/songwriter JUDY COLLINS used while composing her hit song WHO KNOWS WHERE THE TIME GOES is expected to fetch up to $30,000 (=C2=A320,000) when it goes up for auction next month (Oct10).
The 1939 instrument, also played by Collins while recording Whales and Nightingales, is one of eight guitars from her lengthy career included in the Christie’s sale in New York on 8 October (10).
Another custom-made 12-string guitar, decorated with a pearl inlay on t he neck, is estimated to go under the hammer for between $2,000 (=C2=A31, 330) and $4,000 (=C2=A32,670).
