TRUMP’S AIDE SERVES LEGAL PAPERS AFTER FASHION SHOW
An aide working for IVANA TRUMP’s lawyer was ejected from a fashion show in New York City on Thursday (16Sep10) as he attempted to serve legal pap ers to design bosses as part of an ongoing trademark dispute.
Donald Trump’s ex-wife ordered her attorney to fire off a cease and des ist letter to bosses at IVANAhelsinki ahead of their runway show demandin g they cancel the event over accusations they shouldn’t be using the name Ivana, which she has trademarked.
An aide attempted to gain access to the show to serve Finnish designer Ivana Helsinki with a summons and a complaint for trademark infringement, but the unnamed man was escorted out.
However, he later fulfilled his duty by waiting for the fashion house b oss outside an afterparty until the early hours of the morning when he wa s finally able to hand over the papers.
Trump’s lawyer Gary Lyman tells New York Post gossip column Page Six, " Personal service is the best kind. For all we knew, she could have left f or Finland the next morning."
