CANCER SURVIVOR SAUNDERS BACKS CHARITY
Cancer survivor JENNIFER SAUNDERS is helping other victims of the deadly disease by throwing her support behind a charity campaign.
The Absolutely Fabulous star was diagnosed with breast cancer last Octo ber (09), but remained silent about her struggle until she was given the all-clear by doctors in June (10).
The British funnywoman, 52, has now come out in support of Wallace Canc er Care, an organisation which provides free services to patients and the ir families, and Saunders turned out on Saturday (18Sep10) to fire the st arting pistol for the charity’s Chariots of Fire fundraising race in Camb ridge, England.
Saunders says, "I am very happy to be able to support Wallace Cancer Ca re. Having undergone treatment for breast cancer myself, I understand how important it is to have the kind of support and help Wallace Cancer Care provides."
