CALLS TO RESTRICT JACKSON DEATH DRUG
MICHAEL JACKSON’s death is set to spark a clean-up of Hollywood - campaig ners are calling for tighter laws on the use of the powerful drug that ki lled him.
The Thriller star died in June last year (09) from a cardiac arrest aft er receiving a dose of the anaesthetic Propofol.
Now activists in California have launched a bid to overhaul legislation and restrict the use of the drug, according to TMZ.com.
A group of campaigners, who have all reportedly lost loved ones to Prop ofol, are calling for "Michael’s Law" and are handing out leaflets in Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, California urging residents to join their bid "to prevent doctors from making careless choices, and stop them from adm inistrating drugs that should not be administered outside of the hospital setting."
