BARRY MANILOW, JOHNNY MATHIS and MICHAEL BOLTON have signed up to sing wi th Brit ELAINE PAIGE on a new duets album.
The trio will join stars like Olivia Newton John, Billy Ocean, Neil Sed aka and Dionne Warwick to record classics with Memories singer Paige.
The project, tentatively titled Elaine & Friends, is being produced by music mogul Phil Ramone.
A statement from Paige reads, "I am very excited by this project. I hav e been waiting for this opportunity for 20 years to work with the legenda ry Phil Ramone. He is a true magician in the recording studio. And being able to sing with some of my idols, people I have admired for years, is a n absolute pleasure, a dream come true!"

Christmas has come really early for MARIAH CAREY - she has announced plan s to record a festive album for the 2010 holidays.
Carey’s Merry Christmas became one of the world’s best-selling Yuletide albums of all time after it was released in 1994, and now the singer has plans to follow-up the compilation with a new set of holiday classics.
The album, which is scheduled for an early November (10) release, will also feature six new songs and a new mix of her hit All I Want For Christ mas Is You.

PHIL COLLINS is still sore about his LIVE AID jam with LED ZEPPELIN 25 ye ars ago (85), revealing he almost walked off stage in Philadelphia, Penns ylvania mid-set.
Collins and Chic star Tony Thompson were drafted in as replacements for Led Zep’s late drummer John Bonham and even the the members of the rock supergroup accept it was a terrible gig.
Guitarist Jimmy Page blamed the replacement drummers for not learning t heir parts, but now Collins claims it was Page, Robert Plant and John Pau l Jones who ruined the experience.
The Genesis star, who performed at both London and Philadelphia’s Live Aid venues on the same day, tells Spin magazine, "They weren’t very good and I was made to feel a little uncomfortable by the dribbling Jimmy Page ..
"If I could have walked off, I would have - but then we’d be talking ab out why Phil Collins walked off from Led Zeppelin. So I just stayed there and bit my tongue."

Actor JERRY O’CONNELL had a parenting wake-up call while he was watching a documentary about anorexic twins - because he realised his affectionate terms for his daughters could scar them for life.
The former child star and his wife Rebecca Romijn had become accustomed to referring to their twins as "The Big One" and "The Small One" - becau se one is larger than the other - but a shocking TV special made them ret hink their nicknames.
The Stand By Me star explains, "I’d be like, ‘Hey, Big One, get over he re!’ Then one night my wife and I were watching a show called Interventio n - it was about people who have addiction issues.
"It was about two twins and they’re anorexic twins - it’s like one was heavier than the other and then she got an eating disorder and they’d try and out-skinny each other. It was awful.
"I was like, ‘Never again. I’ll never do it again.’ So now I’m like, ‘Y ou, the possibly a little bit, teeny bit bigger…’"

Officials in Arizona tourist hotspot Lake Havasu are hoping film fans don ‘t recognise the town as the fictional location of new movie PIRANHA 3D - and believe the area is the home of schools of flesh-eating fish.
Director Alexandre Aja turned the area into Lake Victoria for his disas ter film, which opens in America this weekend (beg20Aug10), but town lead ers are keen to point out there are no deadly fish in Lake Havasu.
Official Jeff Blumenfeld tells the Los Angeles Times, "We=E2=80=99re gr itting our teeth - we=E2=80=99re just hoping that the reaction is a good one for the city… We haven=E2=80=99t see any piranha."

JENNIFER ANISTON is refusing to let her feud with TV newsman BILL O’REILL Y peter out, insisting what the outspoken broadcaster said about her was deeply insulting.
The actress has already responded to O’Reilly’s recent on-air comments, in which he branded her "destructive to our society" for praising artifi cial insemination - the topic of her new film The Switch.
The news anchor took aim at Aniston on his show The O’Reilly Factor ear lier this month (Aug10) by accusing her of "diminishing the role of the d ad".
He ranted, "Dads bring a psychology to children that is in this society , I believe, under-emphasised. I think men get hosed all day long in the parental arena." Aniston fired back by telling People.com, "Of course, the ideal scenari o for parenting is obviously two parents of a mature age. Parenting is on e of the hardest jobs on earth.
"And, of course, many women dream of finding Prince Charming, but for t hose who’ve not yet found their Bill O’Reilly, I’m just glad science has provided a few other options." And she isn’t leaving it there - during a breakfast TV chat in America on Thursday (19Aug10), Aniston added, "I never actually thought that my n ame and that name (Bill O’Reilly) would ever be in one sentence.
"He said I was actually glorifying 12-year-olds going out there and get ting knocked up and doing it by themselves - because that’s what I like t o preach! "People say things about me all the time and you just go, ‘Whatever…, ‘ but this was not just about me; it was saying, insulting women that are out there doing this on their own. Billboards promoting actress MAGGIE Q’s new TV show NIKITA are causing a controversy across America - because they’re too sexy and too fiery.
The bosses of some malls and shopping areas have refused to put up the posters for fear of offending people.
The varied billboards feature the scantily clad Live Free of Die Hard s tar holding a series of killer weapons.
Officials at top Los Angeles shopping centre The Grove passed on an ima ge of Q wearing a leather outfit. Malls in Chicago, Illinois and New York also passed on the image, according to Variety.
Some outlets have now erected a replacement ad featuring the actress in a long red dress and brandishing a machine gun.
But even that has upset some community members - those Nikita replaceme nt ads have been pulled from billboards located near schools and churches in the Los Angeles area.
Maggie Q will be the third Nikita when the all-action show debuts in Am erica later this year (10) - French actress Anne Parillaud played the ass assin in Luc Besson’s 1990 movie and Peta Wilson took over the part in la te 1990s TV show La Femme Nikita.

JENNIFER ANISTON wasn’t surprised when her former beautician was arrested for federal fraud charges on Wednesday (18Aug10) - she severed links wit h her five years ago when she sensed something was wrong.
U.S. Secret Service agents arrested Maria Gabriela Perez for stealing A -list clients’ credit card information and making fraudulent charges on t heir behalf.
Her famous clients, named in an affidavit obtained by TMZ.com, included Aniston, Anne Hathaway, Liv Tyler, Cher and Melanie Griffith, among othe rs.
According the the documents, the accused swindled $214,000 (GBP142,600) from Tyler alone.
But the former Friends star, who stopped visiting Perez five years ago, admits she always knew something wasn’t quite right about the beauty bos s.
In an interview on U.S. breakfast show Good Morning America on Thursday (19Aug10), the actress said, "We had a situation that was not cool so I just stopped going to her." The actress insists her loss "wasn’t to the extent of some of the other s named", but added, "I knew something like this would eventually happen because there’s no way you can get away with that. It’s terrible." Perez faces up to 25 years behind bars if she’s convicted.

The husband of ailing actress ZSA ZSA GABOR is now facing his own health setback, after collapsing at the couple’s Beverly Hills home due to exhau stion.
Businessman Prince Frederic von Anhalt has been caring for his wife sin ce she returned home from hospital on Monday (16Aug10) following surgery at the weekend (14Aug10) to remove two blood clots.
The operation was the last in a string of health problems for the actre ss, who fell and broke her hip while watching TV at home in July (10).
And now doctors have ordered her spouse to stay in bed to recover from exhaustion as his wife fights to regain her health.
A spokesperson for the couple tells TMZ.com von Anhalt was "doing stuff around the house" when he "felt dizzy and fell".
According to the website, a nurse assisting Gabor found von Anhalt on t he floor and called a doctor.
The spokesperson continues, "Prince is suffering from exhaustion and is not able to use his arm right now. It=E2=80=99s really bruised up." Meanwhile, Gabor continues to show signs of improvement, days after she sparked fears she was on her deathbed when a priest was called to read h er Last Rites before she fell into unconsciousness on Monday (16Aug10).
Her spokesperson says she is "still bed ridden but is eating a little, talking a little and sleeping a lot."

JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE is heading to Las Vegas with his former Mickey Mouse Cl ub co-star CHRISTINA AGUILERA for a special charity concert.
The SexyBack singer is hosting Justin Timberlake and Friends, a Special Evening Benefiting Shriners Hospitals for Children in Sin City in Octobe r (10) and he has recruited his former childhood TV pal for the evening.
Timberlake’s show, which will raise funds to provide free healthcare fo r underprivileged kids, will also feature performances from Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, Lady Antebellum, Selena Gomez and T-Pain among others.
The concert will take place on 23 October (10) at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino’s Theatre for the Performing Arts.

STONE TEMPLE PILOTS endured a bitter battle with bosses at their record l abel over their latest album after the rockers insisted on producing thei r new music themselves.
The band returned to the charts in May (10) with its self-titled sixth release, but guitarist Dean DeLeo admits they struggled to get the record ing sessions underway because of a dispute with their Atlantic Records la bel.
DeLeo reveals he wanted to produce the album with his brother and bandm ate Robert, but label executives were adamant a high-profile producer sho uld take charge of the record.
And the rocker admits the band refused to record unless it got its own way.
He tells Consequenceofsound.net, "Our label refused to let us produce i t. (They said) ‘We want a big-name producer.’ You know what we told them? F**k off." And DeLeo admits he can’t wait to end the band’s problematic relationsh ip with Atlantic after one more album, following a turbulent few years wh ich saw the band embroiled in a legal battle with their bosses in 2008 ov er their contract.
He adds, "(It’s) their loss. They have us for one more record. I think it’s only because we managed to sell a lot of records that we’ve had a pr etty good relationship with them."

HAYDEN CHRISTENSEN has confirmed he’s in talks to resurrect his 2008 sci- fi film JUMPER for a "dark" new sequel.
The actor starred opposite his former fiancee Rachel Bilson as a young boy with the ability to teleport himself across the world, but the film d isappointed at the box office and received a slew of scathing reviews fro m critics.
However, Christensen has revealed he is in negotiations to reprise his role for an edgy follow-up.
He tells MTV.com, "We’re talking about it right now actually. Hopefully (it will go) somewhere a little darker. I think there’s a lot you can do with it." And the actor reveals producers might persuade Twilight star Kristen St ewart to reprise her role as his onscreen sister for the sequel.
He adds, "It was sort of set up in a way it’s gonna be mother hunting s on and possibly even maybe sister hunting brother. We’re talking about it , trying to figure it out."

SIMON PEGG found working with STEVEN SPIELBERG a hands-on experience - th e legendary movie-maker "beat him up" during a fight scene in the new TIN TIN film.

REESE WITHERSPOON and her ex-boyfriend JAKE GYLLENHAAL are set to reunite to take part in a star-studded TV telethon to raise money for the Stand Up To Cancer campaign.
The actors, who broke off their relationship last year (09), are among a number of big names who have signed up to join the charity fundraiser, including The Big C star Laura Linney, cancer survivor Christina Applegat e and Terrence Howard.
The Stand Up To Cancer telethon will see celebrities manning the phones to take donations from the public during an entertainment special, with performances from Stevie Wonder, Queen Latifah, and Martina McBride.
