DEMI LOVATO regrets telling the world about her romance with JOE JONAS, i nsisting she "learned her lesson" from the painful public split just two months later.
The Disney star, who turns 18 on Friday (20Aug10), went public with the relationship in March (10), gushing about her "perfect" love affair, but in May (10) they announced the romance was over.
And Lovato admits she will be keeping her next boyfriend a secret in a bid to avoid the public scrutiny.

STONE PONEYS star KENNY EDWARDS has died at the age of 64.
The country musician passed away on Wednesday (18Aug10) just weeks afte r he was hospitalised in Denver, Colorado.
The guitarist/singer, who battled cancer and a blood disorder in recent years, collapsed while on tour with his long time collaborator Karla Bon off and was air-lifted to a hospital near his home in Santa Barbara, Cali fornia prior to his death, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Edwards shot to fame after founding the Stone Poneys in the 1960s, the group which launched Linda Ronstadt’s career, but the band disbanded shor tly after the release of its breakthrough hit, Different Drum.
He went on to form the folk-rock band Bryndle with Bonoff and later wor ked as a singer/songwriter and guitarist for numerous acts including Stev ie Nicks and Don Henley, before releasing his debut solo album in 2002.
Ronstadt has paid tribute to her former bandmate, crediting him with in spiring her own successful career.
She says, "He was always a beacon to me. He introduced me to so much st uff, and his opinion always counted a lot to me." Edwards is survived by his mother.

WYCLEF JEAN has vowed to continue his charity work in Haiti if he is foun d ineligible to run in the country’s upcoming presidential election.
The former Fugees star wants to stand as a candidate when the Caribbean nation goes to the polls in November (10), but he is waiting for an anno uncement from electoral officials over whether he meets the criteria.
The decision is due on Friday (20Aug10), but Jean insists that even if he is unsuccessful in his political bid, he will keep working in the coun try to improve conditions following the devastating earthquake which rock ed the nation in January (10).
He tells Larry King, "If I’m turned down… what we will do is, we have the movement for the youth, which is called Fas a Fas and the political party, which is called Vive a Sum, living together. We will continue to f ight in the sense of how can we work with the new government, the adminis tration… to give kids (a good education), which is one of the number on e things in the constitution, the Haitian constitution, (that) says all k ids should have privilege to a free education. And that’s something that we’re going to push on, whether I make it or not." A representative for AEROSMITH has vehemently denied reports JOE PERRY de liberately shoved his bandmate STEVEN TYLER off stage during a concert in Canada - insisting the mishap was an accident.
Video footage of the group’s gig in Toronto, Canada on Tuesday night (1 7Aug10) shows Tyler lightly bumping into Perry as he plays guitar on a ru nway extended from the main stage.
Perry is then seen walking up behind Tyler and knocking him with his hi p, which sent the singer falling face-first into the audience.
Gossips speculated that the move was deliberate because of reports Tyle r is set to abandon Aerosmith and sign on as a judge on TV talent contest American Idol, but a rep for the group is adamant the fall was purely ac cidental.
The Aerosmith spokesperson tells TMZ.com, "Joe wanted his fans to know he would never deliberately push Steven off the stage. (Joe is a) total g entleman."

N-DUBZ drummer AARON FAGAN has been found guilty of sexually assaulting t wo female fans after a gig in Scotland.
The 25 year old was convicted of groping the two women at a students’ u nion in Glasgow, Scotland in October (09) during an aftershow party follo wing the British rap group’s performance in the city.
Sheriff Joanna Johnston at Glasgow Sheriff Court found Fagan guilty of the charges and placed him on the sex offenders’ register. His sentencing was deferred until next month (Sep10).
Speaking after the hearing, Fagan sensationally accused the court of ra cism, alleging he is the victim of a "white jury" - even though the case was held as a summary trial and was not put before a panel of his peers.
He told reporters, "I’m a black man and I have been tried by a white ju ry. It’s pretty clear what happened in that court and it’s the opposite o f justice.
"I’ve been convicted with no evidence, no CCTV or anything… It’s that (racial discrimination) along with my profile that got me found guilty. Tell me how many people could have been convicted for squeezing a girl’s a**e, nearly every guy could be up for that."

LAURENCE FISHBURNE’s porn star daughter MONTANA has called in lawyers to ban the sale of film footage of her "practising" for her adult movie debu t.

Plans for British broadcaster PIERS MORGAN to replace veteran newsman LAR RY KING after he ends his 25-year run hosting LARRY KING LIVE have been p ushed back due to visa issues, according to U.S. reports.
Morgan reportedly inked an $8.25 million (=C2=A35.5 million) four-year deal for the coveted role presenting CNN’s popular talk show, which featu res interviews with celebrities and prominent figures.
King, 76, announced in June (10) he is stepping down, as reports surfac ed that Morgan beat competition from hotly-tipped American Idol host Ryan Seacrest and news anchor Katie Couric to take the job.
But a glitch with Morgan’s work visa has apparently held up the long-aw aited deal to put him in King’s chair by November (10).
According to the New York Post, network bosses are now asking King to p ostpone his final show and remain on air until the end of the year.
Morgan needs a special visa that will allow him to work full-time in th e U.S., which is increasingly difficult to obtain, according to lawyers w ho specialise in the field.
The America’s Got Talent judge was previously able to get by with a lim ited visa that permits him to work in the U.S. for a specified number of days per year.
Meanwhile, a date for King’s final show hangs in the balance, although a CNN spokesman has declined to comment about the newsman extending his s tay, adding: "No date has been announced yet, there’s nothing specific at this point."

The beauty salon boss accused of scamming A-list clients including JENNIF ER ANISTON and LIV TYLER has been placed under house arrest after posting bail for fraud charges.
U.S. Secret Service agents arrested Maria Gabriela Perez on Wednesday ( 18Aug10) for allegedly stealing her clients’ credit card information and making fraudulent purchases on their behalf.
Perez, owner of the exclusive Beverly Hills Chez Gabriela Studio, is al leged to have tallied $280,000 (=C2=A3186,670) in unauthorised charges to clients including Aniston, Tyler, Anne Hathaway and Melanie Griffith, am ong others.
On Thursday (19Aug10), Perez appeared in Los Angeles federal court to f ace two counts of fraud, where Los Angeles federal Judge Oswald Parada re leased her on $50,000 (=C2=A333,330) bail, placed her under house arrest and confiscated her passport.
However, Perez’s attorney, Stephen Kahn, has professed his client’s inn ocence.
He tells the New York Post, "It’s easy to make accusations… From ever ything we know, she is innocent." Prosecutors say Perez has previous convictions for shoplifting and writ ing bad cheques.

The husband of murdered filmmaker/actress ADRIENNE SHELLY has won a cruci al victory in his legal battle over his wife’s death - a judge has ruled evidence heard at her killer’s grand jury proceedings can be included in his lawsuit.
Ecuadorian labourer Diego Pillco was jailed for 25 years in 2008 after he was convicted of strangling the Waitress director in November 2006 whe n she caught him trying to burgle her apartment.
He had been renovating another apartment in the New York building at th e time and Shelly’s husband, Andrew Ostroy, subsequently filed a wrongful death suit against the construction company which employed Pillco.
Ostroy alleges his wife would still be alive if bosses at Bradford Gene ral Contractors (BGC) hadn’t hired an illegal immigrant.
Now Ostroy’s legal battle has taken a step forward after the judge over seeing the case at New York’s Manhattan Supreme Court granted his request to use the minutes from Pillco’s grand jury hearings, which are usually kept secret.
Officials at the district attorney’s office had opposed the move, insis ting the proceedings should "remain secret to protect the identity of wit nesses", according to the New York Post.
But State Supreme Court Justice Louis York dismissed the challenge and ordered the documents to be handed over.

LINDSAY LOHAN’s father has backtracked over his recent calls to send his daughter to rehab - he’s now urging the judge overseeing the actress’ cas e to release her from a court-ordered treatment program.
The Mean Girls star was jailed last month (Jul10) for breaching her pro bation stemming from a 2007 DUI arrest.
She was also ordered to spend 90 days in rehab as part of her sentence and is currently being treated at the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Michael Lohan has long claimed his daughter needs a stint in rehab to h elp her kick an alleged prescription drug problem, but he’s now asking fo r the actress to be released early over fears she is not receiving proper treatment at the facility.
He tells Hollyscoop.com, "I have to say that I agree with (Lindsay’s) l awyer… the doctors and, I can’t believe I am saying this, even (Lindsay ’s mother) Dina, that Lindsay SHOULD be released from UCLA’s drug program ..
"The reasons being, UCLA’s program does NOT offer the treatment(s) Lind say needed or needs, which I was saying from the beginning. They said she was bi polar and addicted to (crystal) meth, both (of) which I said were untrue, and now they agree! Gee Wiz!" And Lohan fears his daughter is suffering at the medical clinic, insist ing the treatment program is no different from the courses offered in jai l.
He adds, "What Judge Revel did was basically sentence Lindsay to more j ail time because UCLA’s program is like any medical unit in any jail or p rison. Sure, they might have gotten her off the prescription drugs, but t hey haven’t offered any therapy, which is imperative in successful recove ry."

Rockers THE KILLERS were convinced they had been snubbed by U.S. Presiden t BARACK OBAMA after a mix-up over the date of their White House concert.
The Mr. Brightside hitmakers believed they had been asked to play at an event honouring Sir Paul McCartney in Washington, D.C. in June (10), but frontman Brandon Flowers began to worry as the big day approached and th ey still hadn’t received their official invite.
They ended up watching the event on TV and Flowers admits he felt "deva stated" to have missed out on the chance to meet the American leader, unt il a few days later when the band was officially invited to play at the 4 th of July concert instead.
Flowers tells Britain’s The Sun, "At first we (thought we) had an invit e to play for Paul McCartney as he picked up the Gershwin Prize for Popul ar Song on June 2. Then the big day came and we hadn’t received our invit e. We watched the footage of McCartney with Jack White and Dave Grohl, de vastated to have missed it.
"A few days later we got the invite for the fourth of July so that’s wh y we missed the other gig…" And the singer admits the mix-up was worth it, because felt honoured to perform at the Salute to the Military concert.
He adds, "It was a great experience to play for soldiers who had come h ome to their families on the fourth of July. I’ll never forget it. It’s o ne of my proudest moments."

A representative for PRINCE WILLIAM has denied reports the British royal is planning to wed his long term love KATE MIDDLETON next summer (11).
German aristocrat Eduard Prinz von Anhalt, who claims to be a distant c ousin of William’s father Charles, Prince of Wales, fuelled speculation w hen he announced this week (beg16Aug10) that a date has been set for the royal wedding.
He told a magazine in his native country, "The wedding is set for July.
