The former Spice Girl presents the Glee-inspired talent show Don’t Stop Believing on U.K. network Five, alongside judges Anastacia and British b oyband star Duncan James.
And excited Bunton tweeted to fans on her drive to the studio in London that she was all ready to go, writing, "Oh my way to the Final of Don’t Stop Believing!! Dress? Shoes? Can’t wait! Live, channel 5 at 5.30!!!" But her mood soon soured when she hit the road, and her car tyre went d own.
On her Twitter.com page, she added, "S**t got a flat tyre on the M25 (h ighway), I don’t have much luck with cars!!!"

LILY ALLEN won’t be tuning in to SIMON COWELL’s U.K. TV show THE X FACTOR this year (10) - she’s attacked the talent contest and the music mogul i n a series of online rants.
The hugely popular series returned to the small screen in Britain on Sa turday night (21Aug10) and attracted huge viewing figures.
But the Smile hitmaker has made it clear she is not fond of Cowell’s gr ip on the TV music competition genre - insisting the programme embodies e verything "I detest about modern western culture." On her Twitter.com page, Allen writes, "X factor - FAIL. Too set up/scr ipted in my humble opinion. I don’t know how Simon Cowell has managed to get away with essentially copywriting (sic) the talent contest. It’s beyo nd me, really." And when one fan questioned her opinion, she angrily replied, "It’s s** t. FACT! It’s everything that I detest about modern western culture. Cowe ll is the only one who really benefits. People like you EAT IT UP." Another follower asked if Allen’s hatred of the show stems from not bei ng asked to sit on the judging panel, alongside her former celebrity enem y Cheryl Cole and Louis Walsh, as well as Cowell.
She wrote, "I’d rather actually eat my own c**p, than sit next to any o f those goons. Except Cheryl, obvs (obviously).
"I’ve better things to do with my time than feed the nation with the no tion that doing cover versions will sort your life out." Funk superstar GEORGE CLINTON was so impressed with rocker SHAVO ODADJIAN ’s perfect impersonation of him he insisted the former SYSTEM OF A DOWN s tar step up to the mic in the studio.
Odadjian was producing tracks on Clinton’s Gangsters of Love record whe n he treated the colourful hitmaker to his mimicry.
The funk star was so taken aback he called on the rocker to step in for him while they were recording bonus tracks.
Odadjian explains, "The song that I’m on is called Stillness in Motion.
… There’s a female singer on top, but in the background when you hear Ge orge, it’s not George, it’s me. I do a great impersonation of him.
"When I did it the first time, he said, ‘That goddamn motherf**ker soun ds just like me!’ "He was tired the night we were doing that song and asked me to do it. I even have it on video." But that wasn’t the highlight of the sessions Odadjian recorded with Cl inton.
He tells Hustler magazine, "Me, Sly (Stone), George Clinton and El DeBa rge did a song together that probably no one is going to hear… It didn’ t make the cut."

AMERICAN IDOL producers have struck gold by hiring AEROSMITH star STEVEN TYLER as a judge on the show, according to rocker TOMMY LEE - because he’ ll add a little excitement the TV talent contest lacks.
The Motley Crue drummer insists he’ll be watching when Tyler makes his debut as Simon Cowell’s replacement on the show later this year (10) and he’s sure he’ll be a big hit.
He tells EW.com, "I know him really well, and he’ll f**king kill it. Lo ok, you’re judging karaoke, you don’t need to be a really super experienc ed judge for that. But it’s nice to have an actual musician in there.
"He’s fun, and he’ll keep the show exciting too. He’s a good guy for th at, I think."

KASABIAN frontman TOM MEIGHAN is planning to go solo while his bandmates take a break from touring to spend time with their children.
The Shoot The Runner hitmakers will play their final show for 12 months at the V music festival in Essex, England on Sunday (22Aug10) and are in tent on going out with a bang.
Meighan tell Britain’s News of the World, "It will be good to bow out a t V. After tonight we are taking some time off… we are going to have a proper tear-up. V is such a major festival so it’s emotional for us.
"The gigs are great but we’ve worked so hard. It’s the travelling that gets you. You have to look after yourself. We have been to so many countr ies, you forget where you are. It wears you down." And Meighan reveals he will be working on independent music projects wh ile his fellow members take a break to stay at home with their families - because he’s not ready to become a parent like the band’s guitarists Ser ge Pizzorno and Chris Edwards.
He adds, "We are a super-tight rock band and we will be back in the stu dio before long. I will do something musically in between. And I’m thinki ng of doing a TV documentary - I am just going to see what comes up.
"Serge is doing great and our bass player Chris Edwards had a baby as w ell. I’m the only one left without anyone but I’m not ready to be a dad. We have got the break after today mainly so the guys can see their famili es."

R&B star FAITH EVANS was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influ ence of alcohol on Saturday night (21Aug10), according to a U.S. report.
The I’ll Be Missing You hitmaker was pulled over in Marina del Rey, Los Angeles by traffic cops, who suspected the singer had been drinking.
She was arrested and booked on a DUI charge, according to TMZ.com.
There is no official comment from Evans’ representatives as WENN goes t o press.
It’s not the first of the singer’s legal woes this year (10) - she was ordered to pay $360,000 (=C2=A3240,000) in unpaid taxes to America’s Inte rnal Revenue Service (IRS) in March.

Veteran British actor MARTIN SHAW is preparing to take to the stage again - just five days after he collapsed while performing in a play.
The 65 year old shocked theatre-goers after falling ill and fainting wh ile acting in The Country Girl in Shrewsbury, England on Wednesday (18Aug 10).
The show was immediately halted and he was forced to withdraw from his role, while an understudy took up his part.
But Shaw is refusing to take a long hiatus - he’s resuming his role on Monday (23Aug10).
He says, "I am so glad to be back treading the boards again. In all my 45 years on stage, being taken ill during a performance was a first for m e, and one I certainly do not wish to repeat." A spokesperson blamed the collapse on medical problems, revealing Shaw was taking antibiotics for a severe chest infection after suffering crack ed ribs.

Tennis champ SERENA WILLIAMS has been forced to bow out of the U.S. Open after she failed to recover from foot surgery in time for the competition ..
The world number one underwent an operation for cuts on her right foot after she was slashed by broken glass in a restaurant in July (10).

Actor SHANE WEST has been named in a lawsuit over allegations he crashed into a fellow motorist and left the driver needing knee surgery.
In a civil lawsuit filed at a California court on 18 August (10) - two days before the two-year anniversary of the accident - Richard Glenn Grim claims West smashed into the back of his car on Santa Monica Boulevard.
It is alleged the crash caused $5,000 (=C2=A33,333) worth of damage to Grim’s car, and left him needing "two surgeries" on his knee, according t o TMZ.com.
In papers, Grim’s lawyer Frank Ariel says, "We would like to reach a fa ir settlement with Mr. West’s auto insurance company." The law in California states that personal injury lawsuits must be file d within two years of the incident.

A burglar who broke into the home of N-DUBZ star TULISA CONTOSTAVLOS is e xpected to escape a jail sentence.
Anthony Smith, 22, pleaded guilty to breaking into the British singer’s home in Watford, England, after a night of drinking and taking sleeping pills.
Smith, who has 23 prior convictions, was arrested after authorities mat ched his DNA to blood on broken glass at the property.
But at St Albans Crown Court on Friday (20Aug10), he was ordered to wea r an electronic tracking device after pleading with Judge Stephen Gullick to give him another chance.
He will be sentenced on 8 October (10), when he is expected to receive a suspended sentence or a community order.

JERMAINE JACKSON has spoken out about his family’s darkest secret - the c lan’s famous compound in Encino, California is haunted by ghosts.
The singer has revealed the estate was built on an Indian burial ground and he has encountered many spooks there over the years.

Jackson reveals ghosts have been spotted roaming the grounds of the est ate and he once awoke to find two in his bedroom, when he was a child.
