MONTAG REGRETS MASSIVE PLASTIC SURGERY MAKEOVER

THE HILLS star HEIDI MONTAG fears her new nose is about to fall off - and she’ll end up looking like MICHAEL JACKSON.
The reality TV star has opened up for the first time about the regrets she has regarding her 2009 plastic surgery makeover, during which she had 10 major nips and tucks in one day.
She tells Life & Style magazine she’s still recovering from the work do ne by surgeon Frank Ryan, who was recently killed in a car accident, and some things are taking longer than expected to heal.
She explains, "I’ve had my nose tape on 24 hours a day since November.
"The tape is supposed to keep the swelling down and hold my nose in pla ce the way Dr. Ryan sculpted it." And Montag admits she’s beginning to fear the worst: "I don’t want my n ose to fall off like Michael Jackson’s." And she also has huge regrets about her massive G-cup breast implants, adding, "My breasts are crushing me. My body’s still getting used to them and I have major anxiety about it." She tells the publication she wants her implants taken out.

DICKINSON SNUBS GLASTONBURY AND REALITY TV

IRON MAIDEN frontman BRUCE DICKINSON refuses to play at renowned British music festival Glastonbury - because the event is far too civilised for h is hard-rocking band.
Dickinson is adamant his heavy metal group will never set foot on the f amed Glastonbury stage because the crowds at the outdoor gig are far too "polite".
He also reveals he was once asked to star in a gruesome reality show bu t insists he’s ruled out ever performing or mentoring on TV contests like Simon Cowell’s U.K. series The X Factor.
Dickinson tells Britain’s The Sun, "We would never do a TV show like X Factor and we would never play Glastonbury. I cannot stand X Factor. I’ve been offered all sorts of reality TV. One guy offered me a programme whi ch involved me having my poo examined. I thought it was a wind-up (joke).
I told him where to go in no uncertain terms.
"Glastonbury is a bit too cream cakes and afternoon tea for us. It’s al l yurts and people being far too polite."

NOLAN ALMOST FINISHED WITH CHEMOTHERAPY

Cancer-stricken singer BERNIE NOLAN is waiting for doctors to give her th e all-clear after nearing the end of her chemotherapy treatment.
The 49-year-old I’m in the Mood for Dancing singer was diagnosed with b reast cancer in April (10) and began undergoing sessions of chemotherapy to treat it.
Now Nolan hopes she’s winning her health battle after completing the ma jority of her six-week program, according to her sister Maureen.
She tells Britain’s OK! magazine, "(Bernie’s) reducing the tumour the w hole time. She went home this week and has one day of chemotherapy left. I watched her on (British TV show) GMTV with her bald head and I had such a lump in my throat. I thought if you were at home and you were battling cancer, it would really help to see her and her positive attitude. She’s inspirational." And Bernie is making such good progress, doctors recently allowed her t o travel to Spain to attend Maureen’s wedding.
Bernie says, "It was touch and go whether the doctors would let me go. Thankfully they said yes. It was a magical day and one I am so glad I did n’t miss. I felt very emotional and so proud of my beautiful big sis." (K

JAY-Z WOULD HAVE ROBBED MARTIN AS A TEENAGER

JAY-Z is pleased he didn’t meet COLDPLAY pal CHRIS MARTIN when he was a t eenager - because he would have tried to rob the singer.
The 99 Problems hitmaker is close friends with the British rocker, but insists he would have threatened Martin if he had walked through the Marc y Projects, a tough public housing complex in Brooklyn, New York where th e rapper grew up.
He tells Britain’s Daily Mirror, "That’s a different scenario. He could n’t walk through Marcy. I was a different person then. I wasn’t open to t he world and to the cultures. I would have been, ‘Yo! Who are you? Give m e your money.’ You couldn’t have a guy like Chris walking through Marcy. He’d have to get robbed. At best." But now Jay-Z, real name Shawn Carter, is pleased he’s struck up a frie ndship with the Yellow hitmaker and his wife Gwyneth Paltrow: "They are a really cool family with beautiful kids, who happen to be good at the job s they do."

OTTO WELCOMES DAUGHTER

Country music star JAMES OTTO has become a first-time father after welcom ing a baby daughter.
Otto’s wife of five years, Amy, gave birth to little Ava Katherine Otto at a hospital in Nashville, Tennessee on Tuesday evening (24Aug10), the star’s publicist Jensen Sussman confirms to the Associated Press.
In a statement, Otto says, "She is beautiful like her Mama, and I am al ready wrapped around her tiny finger."

HILL ‘GIVES BACK’ AT FREE HURRICANE KATRINA CONCERT

FAITH HILL reassured victims of 2005’s Hurricane Katrina they have not be en forgotten during a free concert to raise funds for New Orleans.
Many were left dead and thousands of people made homeless after a massi ve storm wreaked havoc across Louisiana.
Singer Hill marked five years since the storm on Tuesday (24Aug10) by p erforming at the Mahalia Jackson Theater in New Orleans, which was destro yed during the hurricane and is still undergoing restoration.
Hill is pleased she can give back to those affected by the tragedy, bec ause she feels it’s her "responsibility" to help however she can.
And she’s adamant the area will be able to bounce back once tourism beg ins to flourish again.
Speaking onstage at the event, she said, "We are here for you still and you are not forgotten. I feel like it’s my responsibility to give back. When you’ve been given so much, it’s only right that I do what I can to h elp, if I can…
"Sometimes, with celebrity, you can make things happen pretty easily. M y message is, ‘Come to New Orleans and experience this great city.’ Yes, there are places that are still rebuilding and are not quite back yet, bu t when they do come back, they’ll come back better."

QUAID & MACDOWELL TO PLAY MAN AND WIFE AGAIN

Actress SOFIA VERGARA has spoken of her relief now her boyfriend is recov ering following a horrific car crash on Monday (23Aug10).
The sexy Latina star has been nursing aspiring politician Nick Loeb bac k to health after he was admitted to a Los Angeles-area hospital after su staining serious injuries in the accident in Bel Air.
The 35 year old was placed in an intensive care unit with a severely br oken leg and a deep gash across his chest.
Vergara has now revealed Loeb is set to make a full recovery and has th anked her fans for their kind words.
In a post on her Twitter.com page, she writes, "Thnks (sic) everybody, Nick is doing very good. Pelvic fracture, lots of pain but he is going to be ok. Gracias (sic)!!!"

HIEDRICH ARRESTED FOR ASSAULTING COP

Actor MARK BOONE JUNIOR has been arrested after allegedly assaulting a po lice officer.
The Batman Begins star, also known as Mark Hiedrich, was pulled over by authorities for a traffic violation as he was driving through Glendale, California on Tuesday (24Aug10).
Boone then allegedly assaulted one officer, prompting other cops to rus h to the scene.
He was taken into custody for assault and resisting arrest, reports TMZ ..com.

BAY SUED OVER SECURITY GUARD SCUFFLE

TRANSFORMERS director MICHAEL BAY is facing legal action from two men who allege his security guard hit them over the head with a handgun, causing them to fall unconscious.
Joshua Stewart and Paul Klimczak were reportedly at Kiss nightclub in H ollywood in August 2008 when they got into a fight with a man who they al lege is Bay’s private bodyguard.
All three men were thrown out of the venue and the plaintiffs claim the y then tried to walk away but the unnamed guard hit them both over the he ad with a pistol, rendering them unconscious.
They were taken to hospital with broken teeth, broken bones and other i njuries, reports TMZ.com.
Bay is being sued over the alleged altercation because Stewart and Klim czak claim the employee was under the filmmaker’s control at the time. Th e venue is also named in the lawsuit for continuing to supply the man wit h alcohol after he was intoxicated.
They are seeking unspecified damages.

LOHAN RELEASED FROM REHAB CENTRE EARLY

LINDSAY LOHAN has been released from a rehabilitation centre after servin g just 23 days of her court-ordered 90-day program.
The Mean Girls actress was jailed last month (Jul10) for breaching her probation stemming from a 2007 DUI arrest.
Upon her release, after just 13 days, she was ordered to spend 90 days in rehab at the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles.
But Lohan was discharged from the facility on Tuesday (24Aug10) and wil l now receive outpatient care, according to TMZ.com.
Doctors at the centre reportedly told Judge Elden Fox, who is overseein g her case, that the star should be released from the hospital before the 90-day stint was completed.
A court hearing is scheduled to take place on Wednesday (25Aug10), but Lohan is not expected to be there.

Disgraced R&B star CHRIS BROWN has spoken out about his emotional MICHAEL JACKSON tribute at the recent BET Awards, insisting the performance was his "ultimate apology" for letting fans down by attacking former girlfrie nd RIHANNA.
The Kiss, Kiss hitmaker was convicted of assault and ordered to stay aw ay from his ex after confessing he beat her during a heated fight on the eve of the 2009 Grammy Awards.
He has publicly apologised for his actions online and on TV many times, but he admits the BET Awards nod to Jackson, during which he broke down and sobbed, was the moment his past problems really hit home.
Speaking on TV show 106 & Park on Tuesday (24Aug10), Brown said, "When I heard (Jackson song) Man In The Mirror, it just touched me. It wasn’t f ake. BILLY JOEL TO GET THE GLEE TREATMENT

BILLY JOEL has given the producers of TV hit GLEE permission to pick thro ugh his back catalogue for an upcoming episode of the show dedicated to t he music of the Piano Man.
The rocker reveals he has signed-off on a plan to turn his life’s work into a Glee special - and he can’t wait to see what director Ryan Murphy and his cast make of songs like Uptown Girl and New York State of Mind.

WYCLEF CAN’T APPEAL ELECTORAL DECISION

WYCLEF JEAN’s political dreams have taken another hammering - he has lear ned he can’t appeal a decision that bars him from taking part in his nati ve Haiti’s presidential race later this year (10).
The country’s electoral council officials disqualified the hip-hop star from the November (10) elections - because Wyclef didn’t meet residence requirements.
Jean initially accepted Friday’s (20Aug10) ruling, but then launched an attack on lawmakers on Sunday (22Aug10), branding their decision to stop him from adding his name to the ballot politically motivated.
The Gone ‘Til November hitmaker insisted he would appeal the decision, but the ruling is final and cannot be appealed, according to Haitian law experts.
According to Reuters, the former Fugees star was one of 15 candidates d isqualified from running to succeed President Rene Preval.
